Hi there! The Goats of Devil's End is an audio drama/animatic production by Hearth and Horns Studios, and will be made in installments, first an approximately 40 minute episode will release in Audiodrama form, then we will release an animatic version of the episode after it's done being drawn. We pay 20$ per hour, and no matter how many lines you voice, you will at least be paid for one hour of work. This is the casting call for the trailer, and after the trailer's release there will be even more roles to audition for, most likely every episode! So if you want to be a part of the project and don't make an audition, dont fret, there will be tons of chances. Good luck, and here's a summary of the story.
The Goats of Devil's End is a thrilling Fantasy Political Drama Adventure. Watch as the Goats, who start out as a group of adventurers cautiously working with one another to make ends meet, slowly realize that all the family they need is each other. In the city of Devil's End, tensions are high. The poor attempt to scrape by while being plagued by criminal syndicates, necromancers, corrupt city watch officers, even mind swapping parasites! All of this while the city watch "attempts" to hold the city together for good reasons or bad, the Silver Hands (a legion of knights who serve the dragon god) try to drive out the demon cults popping up throughout Devil's end, while the nobility look down from their lofty council to judge and govern. If Devil's End wants to see any change, it'll take heroes unlike any this world has ever seen.

This will be the last character added for this casting call as these are all of the not yet casted characters that will be making an appearance in the trailer. But don't fret if you're not cast in this first wave of roles, once episode one is ready to record, there'll be a whole new batch of interesting characters to sink your teeth in!

Ronaldo Ron III (leading role) is a core member of the goats, and ready to rumble!
Ronaldo is an intelligent man, and he uses those brains to support his brawn. He describes himself as a kingly presence, although some would prefer self absorbed narcissist. No matter how you feel about him, there's one thing everyone agrees on. He's damn good in a fight. Standing at 6 feet 9 inches and 300 pounds of muscle, this Half-giant loves to hunt when he's not down at the market haggling for the best deals. He's in Devil's End for one purpose: Vengeance. When he was a young boy nearly his entire tribe was killed by a fine dressed nobleman. Ever since, he has made frequent stays in the city he knows houses his family's murderer, believing that if he can think like a city dweller, he can kill one.
“I am Ronaldo, the unbreakable!”
"Ha! ... What, you're serious? A plan like that is never going to work! Here, give me the map."
“Come now, friend. Let's talk business. 2 gold for the sword. (Pause) Are you insane? 50 gold, you're stretching my pockets here. (Pause) Wait really?! Ahem. I mean, thank you for accepting my most gracious offer.”
"A life spent well, many peoples defended, but how long will your watch go unended?"
Constable Cragg, (Recurring Main Character) the man in charge of the most restless part of Devil's End, the docks. He's been at this position longer than any other constable has been able to make it here, and it shows. He has a no nonsense personality, and his voice when not yelling is very tired. He treats the goats like kids who always find themselves in trouble, but they remind him of himself when he was younger, so he tries to keep them out of the slammer. He deeply cares for Devil's End and children in particular, but he's so run down with work that at many times he seems cold and authoritative. Of course, unless you annoy him, in which case he seems almost like he's throwing a tantrum.
“Constable Cragg to you. What's your business here? Next you're going to tell me you don't know what a constable is.”
“(Yelling) Stop it! I am not your friend, you all are absolutely driving me to my wits end!!!”
“It’s okay little one. They'll never hurt you, not while I still stand.”
"A life so happy, then confusing, then dark. Tell me, forgotten prince, to where will you embark?"
Sinclair Kingswood (Recurring main character) is a young adult man with a posh accent. He grew up among nobility and comfort, until his mother passed away. His father, the previous Lord of Devil's End, revealed his true colors, becoming tyrannical, stealing from the people any chance he could get. When he was finally banished, he fled without Sinclair, leaving him with none of the allies or connections he once had. Many people would have given up, but not Sinclair. He set out immediately at the young age of eleven to regain the trust of his family name that his father had ruined. He went on quests to help the noble houses that had turned on him, and gave whatever money he had in excess to the poor. He's finally managed to get a somewhat good name for himself, and is hoping to work his way up to the council of eight, so he may change the laws of the land for the better, as he has lived as poor and rich. And he is known for giving a very good speech.
“Sir Curiel! I am most happy to see you indeed, there is a matter of utmost concern plaguing the city, and I could use your divine wisdom.”
“So I ask you, lords and ladies of the council, why should this harmful law pass into effect? It would strain the already strenuous relationship we have with the commonfolk of this city."
“Please… PLEASE Gods, just let me do one last thing… There's only one thing I must do … before I can be forgiven!”
"Little one, little one, almost lost to the sea, looks like someone chopped down your family tree. I wonder, what kind of ruler will you be?"
Remirax (Reh-mer-akse) (Recurring side character) is a cute little bronze dragon who takes himself very seriously. He's only a few years old and he already has a small pile of gold as a hoard where he's held out in a sunken ship. His life is peaceful, if not a little lonely, down on the ocean floor. That is, until the goats adventure out to find this "great big and terrible" dragon that has been scaring the sailors nearby. With the help of the Goats, he'll attempt to bring an army to his command to fight for the forces of good! Of course, that's easier said than done. He thinks himself to be very strong and above mortals, although perhaps one mortal will change that...
"I am Remirax the destroyer! Bow before me in terror!!!"
"The sailors? Oh yeah haha! I got them so good! I was all like, "Ahhh I'm gonna eat you"
"Are you okay Pickle? (Nudges with snout) You seem sad. I'm sorry if I made you sad."
"Born of shadow, a dark reflection, for the sake of us all, sail in a different direction."
Constable Veranda, (Recurring villain) otherwise known as Hyena, is a higher up of the worst criminal syndicate in Devil's End, bar none. A being of pure malice, operating alongside her bodyguard, Pawn, you better hope you don't catch her attention. Because she has killed the families of people who slighted her less than a bump in the shoulder. Unfortunately for us, she is a very good actor, and has infiltrated Devil's End's City Watch as a constable of the law. She ranges from well hidden quirkiness, to full blown insanity. Known by all for her sickening laugh, manic and maleficent, hence her nickname as the Hyena.
"Come along now, you're under arrest. You can beg and plead all you'd like, but you're not escaping the lawman in my part of the city."
"You wanna know why? Because I wanted to, that's why. Love? I have no room in my heart for love. There's. Only. HATE."
"the most manic, sadistic, insane laugh you can muster, Hyena esque."
"Continue chasing what's good and right with insistence, after all, what has more beauty and terror than innocence?"
Mattias Lilacren (Recurring supporting character) is a boy who helps out around the druidic commune that lives in the nature sanctuaries in Devil's End. A kind and young soul who enjoys what he has, but yearns for more. His prayers are answered when he bumps into Pickle, a young adventurer who gives him his first taste of adventure. And of course, he falls in love immediately. He has a little bit of a nerdy cadence to him, with a slight lisp where the "s" sounds in words comes out more like "th". While he's not the most experienced with the world outside the commune, that doesn't stop him from bringing his sweetness and positivity to everything and everyone he meets. *African-American talent preferred but not required*

I am the Elvenkind. (Side Character) Named by the dragon god who saved me from the purging of my race, the elven race, I have worked diligently over the last thousand years to protect Devil's End and it's people. Though I have not always been successful. As for my personality, words mortals use to describe me often are beautiful, ethereal, kind, but also distant and alien. I believe my unending life as well as my very different biology puts a rift between me and the mortals I fight so hard to protect.
"I do not believe I am above you, child. I am merely older, and therefore wiser. There are many things to respect about mortality. A story without an end just doesn't have much meaning, does it?"
"The Dragon God chose you. Have you ever felt like someone was watching over you that you couldn't see? Feel something deep inside yourself to fight for what is right? You are a chosen."
"I see them, to the west. Not with my eyes, but with my essence. The vampiric forces rise every day, clinging to the shadows as a babe to it's mothers teat."
