Logan is a cousin and lifetime friend of Sawyer, one of the main protagonists in the show. The two serve together in the fasisct US military, before Sawyer finally betrays the party and runs off with a group of outcasts. Following this, Logan becomes the show's first recurring antagonist as he hunts Sawyer down to get revenge for his men.
Whatever humanity Logan ever has has been stripped away by war and violence. He is sadistic, and evil, down to the very core, and enjoys seeing others suffer. However, he does adhere to a 'warrior code', believing in concepts such as honor and legacy.
Logan sounds gruff, curt, and gravely. He may speak with a distinct Southern American accent, or sound more midwestern depending on your take on the character. The exact accent is not too important to us.
SAWYER
The Legion? Can't imagine what they're gonna do...LOGAN
Oh get off your high horse Sawyer, it's war.SAWYER
They’re just kids Logan. It ain't right. We’ve been letting the Silver Legion get away with this for too long.LOGAN
Sawyer, I may have given a shit three years ago. I'm certainly not getting in their way now.Everything north of Mason-Dixie's fair game. You of all people should know, syndies don't much count any difference between civilian and military anyway. We let these reds walk, they’ll be ambushing us tomorrow. Atlanta was clear on this: Commando Directive. We take no prisoners.
Sawyer and Logan face off after Sawyer betrays the squad. After a tense firefight, they run out of ammo. Logan finally corners Sawyer. The two have a moment of friendship before they must finally face off. Only one man will walk away from this alive.
(Only read LOGAN)LOGAN
Nowhere to run Sawyer. I’m not shooting you in the back. You deserve that much.
SAWYER
How did you even get here? And why are you running with syndie folk?
LOGAN
(chuckles) You won’t believe this. The guy running your syndie death squad? It’s Peterson. Seems the old bastard got out of Russia alive.
He’s not glad we switched sides, I reckon. Still, he took me alive because he knew I wanted you dead more than I wanted to fight his red muppet men.SAWYER
It doesn’t have to go down like this, Logan…LOGAN
(Rising anger) You killed our own Sawyer. You know this is only going to end one way. I’ma tell those boy’s mothers what I am telling you now. That I stuck this here bayonet in that murdering son of a bitche’s belly and watched him bleed out slow.LOGAN
Fix Bayonets.SAWYER
Logan, we don’t have to…LOGAN
(Menacing) I said, fix bayonets!
In the middle of the fight, Logan’s deranged and sadistic nature surfaces.LOGAN
(Panting, deranged laughter) You’re a killer Sawyer, admit it! You’re a dog. Just like the whole lot of us.SAWYER
I’m nothing like you!
Finally, Sawyer manages to strike a fatal blow against Logan. As he slumps to his knees dying, the two old friends have their final goodbyesLOGAN
(Coughing, retching, dying) So, you taking the syndie girl west? Looking for redemption Sawyer?
(final words, chuckling realisation) I guess, after Russia… nothing has really… ever felt… real.Logan slumps to the ground, dead.
Agent Peterson is currently the head of the Federal Bureau of Revolutionary Protection, a CIA-like entity in the communist Combined Syndicates of America. As a staunch believer of a hardline left-wing stance, he is in charge of the Red Terror, finding and rooting out reactionary elements in the nation. During the show, he is tasked with hunting down the main cast of characters as a recurring villain.
Peterson is not a cruel man - the violence he inflicts saddens him. He sounds tired and old, but with an undercurrent of ideological determination. No matter the horrors he commits, he believes he is right. He is ruthless and efficient. Think Anton Chigurgh from No Country For Old Men

PETERSON
Miss Faulkner, The Second American Revolution is dependent on a fundamental reorganization and redistribution of wealth throughout society. Take this building for example. We took the Merchandise Mart, a symbol of capitalist decadence and turned it into something that serves the people.
(sad, reflective) But the revolution is a fragile thing. Like a watch, the whole is delicately balanced. A single gear out of place will stop the whole device from turning. Do you understand?
(Determined, curt) We have reason to believe the anarchist wing of the party is preparing an attack on this very building. We believe the anarchists are not acting of their own accord, but rather are being supported by foreign agents in our midst. We take such threats very seriously, miss Faulkner. It has prompted the Bureau to investigate a paper trail that led us to the British immigrants in the city. And finally, to your family…
PETERSON (Memoirs)
The Russian Revolution... failed partly due to the gullible nature of the Soviet leadership. After Lenin's assassination, Bukharin, Stalin and Trotsky squabbled over control, and I should have known then we were doomed. At best, Trotsky was a gullible fool, and at worst, a soft-hearted idiot. The deaths of millions of Soviet citizens can be blamed on his inability to see the internal threats tearing the combined Soviets apart. Even as the Whites pressed us out of Yekaterinburg and our Western front collapsed, we were occupied mostly with political side-line arguments. The anarchist wing of the party infected the Soviets like a cancer, planting in the men imbecilic and unsustainable ideas of a future in Russia without a government. Kolchak and Kornilov learned from our internal division, and assembled a strong dictatorship to bring the Whites through the war. I despise them for everything they stand for, but in this they were not wrong. When Moscow fell, we fled Russia as common criminals, hiding on freighters to Britain.
Michael Bianchi is the love interest and antagonist of Emily Faulkner, one of the main characters. After being in a romantic relationship, with her, he is forced to hunt Emily down as he weighs his loyalty to the revolution against his love for Emily.
A triggerman and fiercely loyal to the Combined Syndicates, Micheal pursues Emily throughout the show as one of the main antagonists. He has an Italian American background, having grown up under the opression of the robber barons of the 1920's. Seeing such wealth inequality and growing up in total squalor, he became a convinced communist.
EMILY (do not read)
Jesus Michael… they’re rounding up people outside
MICHAEL
(dismissive) Must be an anarchist cell. They’ve been up in arms ever since Reed stepped down…
[Michael sighs and stretches]
Chairman Browder thinks they're planning something big. He's being proactive, clamping down on em'. They'll probably be sent to East Bank, poor bastards. Nobody comes back from East Bank...MICHAEL
(Angry) Oh, I'm sorry Sarah, should I have told her I was cheating on her before or after telling Emily we shot her goddamn parents?
(Sad) The Faulkner job was a mistake. If I had known beforehand, I would never have done it
SARAH
You sure as hell didn't hesitate to blow the Board of Trade Building
MICHAEL
(Blind anger, shouting) Don't be fucking naive Sarah. It was a black flag operation. We're the goddamn Bureau, it's what we do! You know just as well as I that we had to create a pretense to take out the anarchist faction before they took the entire goddamn Syndicate down with them!
