Project Overview
MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR:
Howdy name’s Nathan! I’m with the Everwest Productions team! I’m here to ask for interested actors to join the cast of “Batman: Pater Et Filius”! A project that puts the famous character through hell and back against Garfield Lynns, Jervis Tetch, Floyd Lawton, Waylon Jones, and most dangerous of all… Regina Sionis! We’ll see the Batman tested mind, body, soul, and conviction!
Prices will not be displayed, nor advertised on this project. The Director, Nathan Seals has said he is willing to discuss payment, but that is not a guarantee on my behalf.

This is a part-time acting opportunity, meaning that you will not be required to attend more than 24+ hours per week. This is a fun little passion project made by me, Benjamin Grace, and Nathan Seals, the sole man behind the idea.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Good microphone quality.
- You must be over the age of 18, unless casting requires you to be younger.
- You must have at least two years of experience in acting.
- You must attend the scheduled script reads.
- You must inform us of any medical background that may effect script reading, such as dyslexia.

Floyd Lawton is a focused hitman, much like the John Wick(s) and Agent 47(s) of the world. He's motivated to kill Batman by a want to save his daughter from cancer. While he may not know if chemotherapy will save her, he has to try.
PAYMENT WILL BE DISCUSSED IN THE AUDITION PROCESS.
Context: Floyd is speaking to Regina Sionis after failing to take out the Batman. He's hurt, and bruised after an explosion caused by a hot-headed Firefly.
"FLOYD:
(angered, injured)
It wasn't my fault! Everything would've gone according to plan if that bug didn't get in my way!"
Context: Floyd is speaking to a tied up Batman who has been kidnapped after being knocked out. Batman has only just woken up. This is mid-way into the conversation.
"FLOYD:
(turning to Batman, calm and cold)
A man like me does whatever it takes to ensure his family is protected. I know it's a cliché, but it really isn't personal. In another world, I probably would've been one of your biggest supporters. Unfortunately, and fortunately, you have to die, so that my only family doesn't slip away from me... But, I won't dwindle. Speeches are not really my forte."
This take on Floyd Lawton is much more of calm and calculated assassin. Trying to fill out a hit on Batman so that he may use the money to afford treatment for his daughter's chemotherapy.
Voice type: Somewhere around Ohio, Cincinnati. Calm, almost soothing in a way. Not ASMR soothing, just very collected, like this is a man who knows what he's doing, and always has a contingency.
Comes from New York, Boston.
CONTEXT: Regina is defeated. After trying to defeat Batman by sending Gotham's worst after him, she realizes that she isn't the one to do it. This scene takes place after a failing fight between the two, Regina his bruised, and hurt, yet she doesn't even feel anything.
"REGINA:
(emotionless, getting drenched in rain)
Every punch, every kick, every cut... I thought you would be the one. I watched you throughout all of the chaos, and I thought you would be the one-...
(IN A FIT OF RAGE, leaning into a yell)
Who would make me FEEL SOMETHING!
(pause)
But you aren't... The doctors all said the same thing. I'm just void of it. Emotion. I can never feel love, anger, sadness... I have blood coming down my nose, and while I can taste the iron, I can't feel the sting..."
In this scene, she's defeated. She is upset because she's a diagnosed sociopath. She also has a rare condition in her muscle tissue called Congenital insensitivity to pain and anhydrosis (CIPA).
She's angry at the world for not only leaving her void of emotion, but void of pain.
Voice type: From the Director's words, he'd like an actress who can go both high pitched and low pitched in range.

CONTEXT: A classic rooftop scene between Gordon and Batman. Batman has just revealed to Gordon Waylon's involvement in the bounty on his head.
"GORDON:
(cavalier, somewhat sarcastic at points)
You know, I imagine that most of the people you keep getting on your ass would probably just go away if, you know-?...
(implying that he kill his enemies)
So, you piss of a hybrid-monster-thing, an arsonist who's more than willing to burn innocent people to a crisp, an insane ex-convict, and to top it off, one of the best assasins in Gotham. Boy, you sure to know how to pick a crowd..."
Gordon in this series is inspired by House from the show House M.D. He has a more sarcastic, don't-take-any-crap attitude. He's also quite bitter due to the loss of his beloved daughter, Barbara Gordon.
Voice type: Something leaning into a more gruff, common American voice. A smoker voice, just not over the top, medium-ranged in pitch.

CONTEXT: Croc has been captured, he's locked in a cell made from concentrated titanium. He's speaking to Batman.
"WAYLON:
(stoic, sitting against a wall)
You don't understand, Batman. Locking me away, you've deprived me of what I wanted the most. With you dead, I could've been rewarded my own home, far away from people, and the any other sentient life in this disgusting city! There's nothing I wanted more than to be alone..."
Waylon is a creature of hatred. For the longest time, all he ever wanted was to be accepted. But like a modern Frankenstein, he was always rejected.
Voice type: American Sourthern, or Western accent. Nothing too over the top. Something that can pass as monstrous, but not to the point of sounding like Venom.

CONTEXT: Bruce has just come back from another life-threatening encounter with Firefly. He's covered in burns. Alfred washes Bruce in a bathtub, stitching his opened wounds.
"ALFRED:
(worried, but also slightly disappointed)
Why do you do this to yourself, Bruce? You go out every night, and there's a new scar, a new burn. You're killing yourself, yet you seem to treat it like you're taking a walk to the store. There are people who need you, and look up to you. You can't help anyone dead, and trust me; your beelining towards death at the rate you're at."
Alfred is more of a fatherly figure in this project, like usual. The difference is, Alfred isn't fully supportive of Batman, and the idea of Batman in Season One. He also served in the Navy.
Voice type: Aged, Scottish accent, with a slight fatherly strictness to it.

CONTEXT: This isn't quite Thomas Wayne, he's taken the role of being a mental projection in Bruce's dreams. He's playing the part of a therapist. More understanding and warm.
"THOMAS:
(warm)
Well, you've been away for some time. Often when seeking medical help, and then taking a prolonged seperation from such help can cause a relapse in mental stability. Breakdowns and outbursts of anger are common for someone in the same position you're in. Can I ask, what is making you feel this way?
Thomas, as a character, isn't shown through the usual lense that is common with Batman. He's a reoccurring figure in Bruce's dreams. It's not quite Thomas Wayne, but he looks like Thomas, and moves as Thomas would. He's more meant to symbolise Bruce's desire for guidance.
Voice type: American accent, more traditional. His voice should be calming, as to represent Bruce's secured feelings and generally sane mindset. (MEDIUM/DEEP PITCH)

The WRITERS ROLE is consistent of the typical assistance with the Director and I, partaking in storyboarding, creating plot ideas, and character development suggestions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A basic understanding in format.
- A computer to write with.
- Two years of experience (+).
