Tales of the Liberty Guild: Herakles & Alice
Project Overview
The show My Amazing Woman has introduced other superheroic characters that I have at least some interest in. This project explores those characters apart from their context in My Amazing Woman, with the possibility of them becoming an ongoing feature.

Phillip "Flip" Angelopoulos is a former baseball player and the best friend of Hank "Herakles" Grant. He's athletic and studious, but at bit naive. He can communicate directly with the Olympians on the other side of the perception barrier and can allow others to see them by being in physical contact with those people when he communicates with or visits them. Flip's relatively straightlaced nature keeps Herakles from going too far into self-indulgence or too far off track of Herakles' missions.

(answering Herakles' question why Flip didn't stop Herk from drinking too much) Let’s see. You can crush me with your pinky finger. You’re a grown man who should be able to govern himself. And I wasn’t there where you were drinking.
Some of us get to be the strongest man in the world. Some of us get to be errand boy for Olympus.
(sarcastic laugh) Ha ha. (clearly smitten with Andi) How many guitars do you have, Andi?
Andi is a jazz singer and the current girlfriend of Flip Angelopoulos. Not much is known about her, but there is something mysterious in her past that would show up in a future adventure should this ever become a series.

Thank you so much. We’re going to take five. But we promise to give it back. (giggles)
(speaking of her guitar) I play well, but I wouldn’t call it magic.
(speaking of her guitar) Just this one and my acoustic at home. Although I am thinking about learning the bass and taking lessons from Alex.
He's an electric bass player and secretly a villain. That's all I have. Sorry.
- male adult
Because he’s trying to see if there is such a thing as a bass lute.
(responding to Herk saying people were frozen) And you would be too, if you weren’t agents of Hera. But that’s okay. They don’t need to see what’s going to happen to you anyway, Herakles!
Too bad the only jeopardy you’re in is yours.

Dr. Van Zandt is a brilliant but narcissistic doctor who followed in her father's footsteps in his experiments to deliberately give people superpowers. She has determined that Undine and Alice both have superpowers from her father's experiments and wants to use them to get some for herself.

And now, with his cellular probe, I will unlock the secret of your interface and take your powers for my own. Chances are you will be left a puddle of protoplasm in the process, but you cannot make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.
Save your energy and your oxygen. The force field is not air permeable. You cannot grow out of it and you cannot shrink out of it. And if by some chance you survive the cellular extraction, you won’t have any oxygen to breathe if you use it all up trying to bust out.
Those will be most unusual last words! (laughs)

A Finnish-born older doctor who is the foster father of Alice. He's kind of old world and close to the vest. Requires a Finnish accent.

(nervous) Oh, my. Alice. It’s so good to see you.
(nervous) Yes. Lots of questions. Anyway, if you don’t mind, honey, while Erika and I talk, will you go to the store and get me some limburger cheese and Braunschweiger?
You don’t need to worry about that.
