In a town called Waverly by the ocean, there lives a nineteen-year-old boy named Copper Timberston. Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, Copper is rendered stranded and homeless. However, he is found by none other than infamous ship captain Platinum, who offers him a spot on the crew of the Honey Bleu. Reluctantly and suspiciously, Copper agrees.
A brand new world awaits Copper, as he learns to navigate this new life on sea. With a funny and charming crew of characters, adventure around every corner, and mysteries to be uncovered, Swashed Away is sure to be an exciting Gacha series putting the life of pirates on full display.

Swashed Away is a voice acted and (semi) animated Gacha Club series created by yours truly! It is meant to be a fun series centering around medieval pirates, the importance of found family, and the impact that home life can have on kids, while also having themes of fantasy, mystery, romance, and adventure. It is meant to be at least six episodes with an overarching plot and story.

  • Casting

    Hello! I have officially casted all of the voice actors for Swashed Away! These eight VAs are so, so talented and I am ecstatic to work with them. It was extremely hard to choose who I wanted for each role, as there were a ton of amazing auditions. Please, go congratulate these guys, they deserve it! If you were casted, congrats! I will be contacting you and sending you the Discord server invite once I’ve got it up and running. Artist auditions are still open! Audition while you can, because it’ll be closing soon!

    Wow, I was NOT expecting all of the support and love I’ve gotten with this series. There are so many incredible voice actors that have auditioned for my characters, and I can’t wait to cast. There are only two more days left to audition, so be sure to get any more recordings that you need to in before the 25th! You have have noticed, but I have been shortlisting and rejecting auditions. If your audition is outlined in gray, it’s shortlisted and I’m considering you for the role! If it’s outlined in orange, that means it was rejected (blue means I haven’t listened to it yet.) I cannot gush enough about all of your lovely voices, and I can’t wait to show off the incredible cast I’m sure we’ll have!

Age: 19
Voice: Copper's voice is a medium pitch. He speaks quickly and has a tendency to apologize after he tries to make a joke or say something outspoken. He will have lots of lines and have to a large array of emotions, as he is one of the lead characters.

  • (Confused, trying to sound defiant and as if you're in the right. The person you're talking to isn't affected by your words at all and you're slowly becoming more frantic.) "Wait! Are you saying that you're just going to let me go onto your ship with no knowledge of who I am or what my intentions are? That's seriously dangerous!! I could be a...a criminal! Or a murderer! You really have some trust problems. It's almost like it's...the opposite of trust issues."

  • (Startled by such a normal question in an unusual situation, then freaking out and panicking internally at the end.) "My name? Um, it's Copper...Copper Timberston. (internally) Oh shoot, oh wait no, I just told two strangers my last name. They can track me now, oh no oh no."

  • (Shocked, scared, confused. The ship is heavily rocking and you have no idea what to do.) "Wait wait wait - WOAH! Oh my god, oh my god, WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE THAT WAVE WILL SWALLOW US WHOLE-"

Voice: Platinum's voice is a medium to medium-low (but still obviously feminine). She speaks loudly but not in a shouting way, sort of akin to an actor onstage. She has a slight flirtatious tone to her voice (especially when talking to women her age) and is always very confident in her words. Platinum will need to show a large range of emotions and express herself with a lot of personality.

  • (A bit amused, but also intrigued. You're trying to help someone out but they just have absolutely no idea what your motives are or what you're doing.) "Well, you certainly look as though you're in a little predicament. Mind if I help you out?"

  • (Explaining to your friend, clearly showing passion in your voice for what you're talking about.) "Ah yes, we have a bit of an interesting crew on my dear Honey Bleu - we're all mostly teenagers, or young adults, but I'd say we're all very talented in the jobs that we do."

  • (Excited, filled with joy. You're finally back where you belong, and you are ECSTATIC. Also, your friend is currently freaking out.) "Ah, do you smell that fresh sea air!? We've been docked for FAR too long - I've missed you, deep blue ocean!"

Voice: Alumi's voice is a medium to somewhere in the middle of a masculine medium-high range. He has a smooth way of talking that also sounds reassuring to people who hear him. He's very easy to talk to and listen to. I don't want to spoil the story, but playing Alumi will require your voice to be able to slip from endearing, kind, and joking to something much more aggressive and ominous. Knowing how to do a good evil laugh is key as well. Alumi shows many emotions and has many lines as a lead character.

  • (Intrigued, with a bit of a flirtatious tone. You're meeting someone new and aren't sure how to approach them, so you decide to try to charm them into liking you.) "Ah, so is this your new recruit, Platsy? Mm, he's certainly got points in the attractiveness department, but the real question is, does he have his sea legs yet? When was the last time you went sailing, my friend?"

  • (Trying to make conversation, clearly being friendly with a slight flirt. Just trying your best to get to know someone.) "Up early, I see? I've always been a bit of an early bird myself - most of the time the crew's still asleep, so I get the whole ship to myself. But, I suppose it's nice to have company."

  • (Calmly defending your friend that you really see more as a little sister. Even though you're collected, there's still a bit of worry in your voice.) "You can't blame Pearl for reacting the way she did. She's so young, and she's been through a lot - more than us. I'll try to talk to her..."

Voice: Pearl has a very high-pitched voice. She talks very fast, is constantly talking, and has a lot to say. She tends to just say whatever is on her mind and not care about what others think. Pearl shows a lot of emotion with a lot of lines throughout the series.

  • (Meeting someone new for the first time - and you already don't trust him at all.) "Hmph - who's the new guy? He looks weird - talks weird - hey, why's his hair all spiky in the front but flat in the back? Clearly it's fake."

  • (Extremely defensive, yelling. Someone just slightly offended you, and you are NOT taking it.) "EXCUSE ME?! Are you implying that I'm too DUMB for that job?! I'll have you know that if you added the I.Q. of everyone ON this ship together, it'd STILL be less than mine!"

  • (Torn, trying to make amends but also being stubborn about your own feelings. You're scared to let this person in.) "W-well, I...I guess that was a LITTLE thoughtful. I still wouldn't call us friends, but I'll try to start being...a little nicer. I haven't been really friendly either, I'll admit that. But you need to fix your attitude too!"

Voice: Topaz is non-binary. They have a medium-pitch voice that can be masculine or feminine, both work. Topaz has a very quiet voice - it's sometimes hard to hear them. They don't talk a lot, but their character is still very involved in the story. When they do talk (especially about machines), they get a little more talkative and animated.

  • (Quiet, nervous, unsure. You don't know what to say and have been instructed to say.) "Oh...hi. I'm Topaz. Um...I'm a mechanic. That's it."

  • (You want to apologize for your friend, but you're too awkward to make your stuttering sound good.) "Uh. Um. I just wanted to say sorry. About...Pearl. I know she can be a lot. Ah, um, that's all."

  • (Doubtful, confused. Someone told you something that is the opposite of your belief.) "A-are you sure? No one here thinks what I do is...cool."

She has a delicate and sophisticated way of speaking that makes her sound as though she thinks she's better than others, which isn't always necessarily true. Quarius tends to speak quietly and quickly. She'll have lots of lines and lots of emotions to portray.
