Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon | Comic Dub (PAID ROLES)

Project Overview

Star Wars Audio Comics is proud to announce that we will be continuing our Star Wars productions with the Flight of the Falcon series! SWAC has been producing critically acclaimed comic series similar to these for four years, especially Star Wars content. We are thrilled to include this story in our lineup!

How it Works:
Suffice it to say, we have mastered bringing to life comics over our four year run on YouTube. We pride ourselves on our company's quality in both visuals, sound effects, music, and the most important part: the voice actors. All productions start with a highly detailed and descriptive casting call. Our typical policy is we don't cast actors until the last day of the call so everyone has plenty of time to audition. Our CC's typically last 2-3 weeks. At the end of the CC process, the Series Director will make the casting decisions based on a variety of factors such as audio quality, performance, vocal range, talent, etc. Once the casting decisions have been made, we send a link for a private Discord server where you will find your scripts, submit your lines, and meet and mingle with your fellow castmates. Deadlines will be posted for line submissions to allow voice actors time to first takes and if requested, retakes. From there it is up to the Director to bring the video to life. Production time will be as airtight as possible, so please try to have your audio in as quickly as possible so production can begin.

The Synopsis:
Following the Resistance's escape from the First Order at Crait, Supreme Leader Kylo Ren sends agents throughout the galaxy to hunt down the ship that houses his enemies. One First Order spy, the bounty hunter Bazine Netal, will follow every lead to track down the elusive Falcon...

Director: Robert A.

Ground rules:

- Please be able to get your lines in by the deadline posted by the director. Production time will be airtight!

- Have professional grade equipment or at the bare minimum make sure your audio is top notch. No background noise!

- Have a Discord or be able to create one. This allows for us to communicate and upload documents much easier than Skype or any other platform.

- Lastly, enjoy yourselves!

We look forward to hearing your performances!

We pay at a rate of $0.35 per line of dialogue, with a minimum payment of $1.05.

Mahjo Reeloo
closed
Paid: Flat Rate 11 USD
Role assigned to: Jmp

Mahjo Reeloo was "born" as one of a pair of clones created by a rogue Kaminoan scientist. Years ago, she hired Han Solo, Chewbacca, and Hondo Ohnaka to help her foil the scientist's evil plot, and now she finds herself once again working with Ohnaka to keep the Millennium Falcon out of the hands of the First Order. She has a much stronger sense of morality than her pirate companion, and often finds herself serving as his conscience.

Feel free to interpret her voice however you think would work best. Reeloo has 33 lines in the final issue of this series, paying a total of $11.55.

  • “Hondo! For once in your life, would you consider keeping your mouth shut?”

  • “What about Chewbacca? He’s on his way to retrieve his ship. If we’re not here… Look, I like my arms attached to my body.”

  • “Seriously? This is Chewbacca’s ship - we know him. We can’t just let… whoever these people are take the Falcon from us.”

Bazine Netal

Paid: Flat Rate 9 USD
Role assigned to: Thea Solone

Bazine Netal is a bounty hunter operating during the First Order-Resistance War. She's built up her reputation over the past several years, and now serves as one of the First Order's many spies throughout the galaxy. After her success in reporting the arrival of several Resistance agents in Maz Kanata's castle, Netal has now been tasked with tracking down the Millennium Falcon, where Supreme Leader Kylo Ren hopes to find and crush his enemies. Netal follows up on every lead she can find, starting with a visit to the bounty hunter IG-88.

Vocal performance should be based on the portrayal by Anna Brewster in The Force Awakens. If you can't apply a similar voice effect, we can apply it ourselves. https://youtu.be/lOaaL8xjy0Q?t=939

Netal has 26 lines in the first five issues of the series, paying a total of $9.10.

  • “You’re a difficult droid to find. Which is odd, because you don’t exactly blend in. Do you, IG-88?”

  • “Enough, both of you! Neither of you have told me anything. So either get to the story, as it happened, or we’re going to have a problem.”

  • "Now listen - I know this planet holds some kind of value for you, but it’s not why I’m here. I have credits; you have information. And since your New Republic funding has been… cut off, I figure you might be in need. You encountered the Millennium Falcon - tell me about it. Deal?”

Gannis Ducain

Paid: Flat Rate 9 USD
Role assigned to: CWGVO

Rey: "I stole it from Unkar Plutt. He stole it from the Irving Boys, who stole it from Ducain."
Han Solo: "Who stole it from me!"

Gannis Ducain was a simple man working in Maz Kanata's castle, who yearned to go on the kinds of adventures that he heard about from the bar's patrons. Ducain jumps at the opportunity to work on Han Solo's crew, but once he finally gains Solo's trust, he steals the Falcon to bolster his own criminal reputation. Years later, he reflects sorrowfully on the mistakes of his past when interrogated by Bazine Netal.

Ducain is open to interpretation, but shouldn't sound too gruff. Ducain has 26 lines in issue #5, and the role pays $9.10.

  • “All my life, for as long as I can remember, I was nobody. I worked for Maz Kanata, doing what I already did best: I was unseen. I was unheard. But I listened. And I heard things - things I couldn’t even believe. These smugglers and pirates, they lived lives that felt so… big to me.”

  • “But this ship - it’s legendary. I mean, it made the Kessel Run in twelve parsecs. It’s been inside a Death Star.”

  • “I was tired of being a nobody. If I did just this one bad thing, I could change my entire life. Then I wouldn’t be a nobody anymore. I’d be Gannis Ducain, smuggler and pirate!”

Agent Alexsandr Kallus

Paid: Flat Rate 5 USD
Role assigned to: JayShields

Long before he was a rebel spy, before he even met the rebels of Phoenix Squadron, Agent Kallus was an ISB agent, tasked with capturing a suspected ally of known insurgent Enfys Nest: Han Solo. With the help of the bounty hunter IG-88, Kallus tracks the smuggler down, and attempts to bring the smuggler in for questioning.

Vocal performance should be based on the portrayal by David Oyelowo in Star Wars: Rebels. https://youtu.be/A6AfCdDwVkg?t=72

Kallus has 15 lines in issue #1, paying a total of $5.25.

  • “You’re certain this is where we’ll find the individuals involved in the rebel activity on Savareen? I don’t like being disappointed, bounty hunter.”

  • “And it seems like they’re in the middle of loading their ship. Excellent. We’ll catch them unprepared. You’re with me, bounty hunter. Follow my lead, and the Empire will reward you handsomely for your service.”

  • “Well, well - what do we have here? I’ll have you know, the Empire doesn’t look kindly on deserters, Han Solo. And now you fancy yourself - what, a pirate?”

Lady Proxima is a criminal overlord on the ship-building planet Corellia. Years ago, she was left hideously scarred when one of her enslaved workers, a young man named Han, staged a daring escape from the planet. Now, Proxima holds a grudge against the smuggler, and is more than willing to aid Bazine Netal in tracking down his ship.

Vocal performance should be based on the portrayal by Linda Hunt in Solo: A Star Wars Story. https://youtu.be/gCboEtcca1M?t=2

Proxima appears in two issues of the series, and has 13 lines, paying a total of $4.55.

  • “Let me get this straight: you navigated my tunnels, captured one of my most skilled children, and forced him to take you to me, all so you could talk about Han- what did you say they’re calling him?”

  • “Relax. If you wanted help grinding Han’s beloved ship into space dust, all you had to do was ask.”

  • "It seems like I’ve done what you could not - I found your precious ship. Go to Batuu. Find the pirate Hondo Ohnaka, and the ship will be yours. All I ask is you bring an end to the Millennium Falcon.”

Paid: Flat Rate 3 USD
Role assigned to: Raevon

Bala-Tik is a negotiator working for the criminal syndicate known as the Guavian Death Gang. Some time ago, the Guavians teamed up with a fellow syndicate, Kanjiklub, to confront Han Solo for his many years of swindling their groups. When Solo escaped, Bala-Tik reported the smuggler to the First Order, and commandeered Solo's freighter, the Eravana, for the Death Gang. Now that the Falcon has been tracked to the pirate Hondo Ohnaka, Bala-Tik seeks once more to capture the ship for himself.

Vocal performance should be based on the portrayal by Brian Vemel in The Force Awakens: https://youtu.be/HSey-TXtyRU?t=63

Bala-Tik appears in issue #6 of the series, and has 10 lines, paying a total of $3.50.

  • “Tell me - if you do indeed have the Falcon, where is it?”

  • “Your stature? Isn’t that rich. Fine, pirate - I’ll bite. You wanna race? Name your price.”

  • “No more talk. You want a race, then let’s race. Time to see what your ship is really made of. On my mark, in three… two…one…”

Akar Duel is a Duros hermit living on the trash world of Lotho Minor. He commands a personal army of junk droids who serve his will, and when the Falcon arrives in search of a new location for a rebel base, Duel attempts to acquire the ship as scrap.

His voice is up to interpretation, but he should probably sound raspy, having been breathing burning trash fumes for some time. Duel has 4 lines in issue #2, paying a total of $1.40

  • “That… would be me. But I assure you, I mean you no harm. My name is Akar Duel. And I was simply admiring your ship. It is-“

  • “Junk. I was going to say, your ship is junk - magnificent, beautiful junk. And on this planet, my planet… we crave junk. We must have it. All of it.”

  • “TeeTee, I will deal with your disobedience later. For now, I will be taking possession of this ship, and-“

This individual is a member of the Guavian Death Gang, and the captain of the Eravana during the Gang's attempt to steal the Millennium Falcon. I'd prefer a Scottish accent, but the character is otherwise open to interpretation. The character has three lines in issue #6, paying a total of $1.05.

  • “We’re reading you - and we’re wondering what you think you’re doing.”

  • “Are you out of your mind? You’ll hardly leave a dent in our ship!”

  • “You listen to me. The pilot of that ship owes the Guavian Death Gang, and we’re here to collect payment!“
