Project Overview

What would happen when Sonic the Hedgehog takes on Disney's famous Rogues Gallery?

The Sovereigns of the Emeralds have awaken. Their power ready to be claimed as they await their champion. Maleficent and the evil Night Ravens have their eyes set on it. If they win, they will drain the sun and bring about the Eternal Night. Knowing the danger, the forces of Sonic the Hedgehog, his best friend Tails the Fox, Silver the Hedgehog who barley made it out alive from a dark future, and the inter dimensional Princess Blaze the Cat set out to collect the emeralds, stop the Night Ravens, and fulfill their destiny in a journey of self-discovery.

Meanwhile. Knuckles and Amy team up to stop Shan Yu from stealing the shards of the Master Emerald and reclaim Knuckles' lost honor before Rouge the Bat beats them to the chase. Elsewhere, Shadow the Hedgehog sets off to investigate the Night Raven's plan, but this mission proves to be more lethal than what the Ultimate Lifeform envisioned.

Returning to the world of audio dramas by combining two of my greatest hyper fixations into one epic story. It means a lot that you have checked this out as this project is very dear to me. Now before we begin, they are a few rules.

1. YOU MUST HAVE GOOD MIC QUALITY with LITTLE TO NO background noise.

2. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR DISCORD IN YOUR DESCRIPTION, AS THAT WILL BE OUR PRIMARY METHOD OF COMMUNICATION

3. In terms of takes, the maximum amount is 2. While improve is encouraged, be sure to read only the audition lines if you want to be considered for the part!

4. This project is a long term commitment. If casted, PLEASE BE TRANSPARENT about scheduling and deadlines in order for the project to run smoothly.

5. Unlike my previous project, this one is more PG/PG-13. Swearing has been minimized to traditional "Damns" and "hell" and whatnot.

6. While some of the characters do have pre-established voices, THIS DOES NOT MEAN YOU HAVE TO DO AN IMPRESSION. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INTERPRET THESE ROLES TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITY. We care more about ACTING than pitch perfect voice matching. If you can manage both, that's awesome! But we are mainly focused on performance.

  • Starting the shortlisting process!

    Hello everyone! Hope you guys are doing well! I’m overjoyed to see more than 350 auditions on this project. This is among the most auditions I’ve received for a project of mine and I am beyond overjoyed that you are all interested in this project. As we approach Saturday, I have begun the process of reviewing all the audios and shortlisting the ones I really want to focus on. This doesn’t mean anything official yet in terms of casting, but rather as a way to narrow down what I want to focus on. Of course, there is still time to send in your auditions. There is a lot to go through and still haven’t shortlisted everything yet.

  • DAVY JONES IS IN, KING K ROOL IS OUT!!

    Hello there! Due to a change in direction to keep the series more Sonic and Disney focused. King K Rool has been removed. In his place is Davy Jones! I apologize to those that wanted K Rool in the series, but it had to be done to keep with the tone I am going for. Krusha and Klump for now will remain as I do think they'd be right at home on the Flying Dutchman's Crew. Until I figure out a replacement. They are just too funny to axe completely. If you auditioned for K Rool and want to go for Davy Jones, feel free to redo your auditions!

A lone survivor of a Night Raven attack that ravaged his home. Mickey Mouse was the only survivor. Forever on the run with Stitch, Mickey finds an injured Shadow the Hedgehog and offers his aid to help him.

Personality: A mix between Mickey's traditional optimistic, cheerful, and good natured personality but with a hint of slight melancholy. Being a lone survivor has placed tremendous guilt on the mouse, leaving him a bit more rough around the edges. Not angry or grim, but broken. Yet still hopeful at the end of the day. Deep down, Mickey is still himself. But if push comes to shove he is willing to get his sleeves dirty

Voice Direction: Do I really need to explain it? I think everyone knows what Mickey usually sounds, but in terms of which voice actors to pay close attention to, there is Walt Disney, Wayne Allwine, Bret Iwan, and Chris Diamantopoulos But feel free to use any voice.

  • (Happy) So you’re Sonic the Hedgehog. Nice to meet you, pal. Name’s Mickey Mouse. At your service. I see you’ve been collecting the Chaos Emeralds. I’ve heard about the Champion of the Emeralds, never expected it to be someone like you. But any pal of Shadow’s is a pal of mine.

  • (Sad and reflective) Maybe Pete was right. Ever since Yen Sid bestowed his magic brush to me, more and more villains have tried to take it for themselves. And it’s gotten worse with the Night Raven…I’m the only one that can hold onto it, but doing so puts everyone around me in danger…maybe this gift is a curse. Nothing but a tool for destruction…

  • (Worried) Yikes! I’d say it does! The Decay Incantation is a painful curse only a select few can wield. Once struck by it, you’ll slowly wither away until you are left a hollow and empty husk. THAT’S VERY BAD!!!!

Marine the Raccoon

Marine the Raccoon has followed Blaze from the Sol Dimension into Sonic's World hoping to help. She soon finds herself in Adventureland face to face with pirates. Naturally, Marine was able to outsmart them and dab a ship for herself. 

Personality: Marine is an energetic, cheerful, and carefree raccoon. But also stubborn and overconfident. Often acting on her own intuition before thinking things through. She is an overly adventurous spirit with a passion for the seas, but her recklessness often puts her in harms way.

Voice Direction: Marine has a medium to high range voice with an Australian accent

  • (Explaining how she got to Sonic's world) Simple, your highness. I was curious about what you get up to whenever you travel to this dimension, so I just followed you here. Though we got separated in the portal and I landed in the middle of this pirate infested garden. Heard some legless bloke with a beard yapping about a furphy that some lunatic of a buccaneer is trying to capture you. So naturally, I swabbed the deck with him and nabbed his ship for myself.

  • (Showing Sonic her ship) Welcome to the S.S Bouriales! Was going to name her the S.S. Marine 2.0 but the name didn’t roll off the tongue too well. Nabbed this beaut after knocking some old scallywag some fathoms below the ocean. Did some redecorating to his dusty old ship and poof! Gave it the old Marine-treatment!

  • (Angry and annoyed at Hook) Oh, hush up you bumbling sea urchin. You’re a cold blooded pirate, aren’t ya? Then bloody act like one you fool!

Sticks the Badger joins the adventure tagging along with Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. While it is unclear what her motives are. She is at least willing to help Rouge out with her mission. Just keep her away from anything shiny.

Personality: Sticks is an energetic, free spirited, and primal Badger who might have a few screws loose inside her head. As a result of her isolated life, she is kooky, off-kilt, and just plain nuts. Often described as living in a different reality from those around her. 

Voice Direction: Sticks has a hyperactive and very scratchy voice.

  • Y’know Rouge, whenever I feel sick. I simply pour a bucket of leeches over my head and it soothes me in minutes. Maybe we should give Shadow some leeches!

The richest duck in all of Duckberg. Scrooge is off searching for treasure in far off lands. He gets dragged into the adventure by Rouge, who hopes he can help her with her quest. 


Personality: Cunning and an opportunist. Scrooge is a daring, adventurous, and brave duck. Stern, yet kind-hearted, Scrooge takes great care in mapping out his paths, using the knowledge he has gained over the years to keep himself safe and out of harm's way. He is happy to impart his knowledge to others, provided that they are willing to listen.

Voice Direction:Scrooge has an old sounding voice with a scottish accent. In terms of a previous voice, feel free to use any of his official voices. I would recommend paying attention to Alan Young or David Tennant

  • (Scolding) I think ye be more dense than Flint Gloomgold’s golf club if ye think hunting the Master Emerald is all fun and games. If ye think that’s gonna impress me, I’ll have ye know I didn’t make me fortune by stealing every rock and gem I could find. I was smart about what I went after. For a Treasure Hunter, Ye got a lot more to learn lass.

The Spirit lying in the Blue Chaos Emerald. The Sovereign of Wisdom. Ages ago, Moana was a well renowned explorer who would later ascend to the status of demigoddess. Her wisdom and strong mind in the face of temptation blessed her with the Chaos Emerald.

Personality: Despite her status, Moana is a very chill, relaxed, and very "Go with the flow". She is sea-loving, headstrong, strong-willed, practically fearless, and physically capable. Though she has moments of self-doubt, she has great pride in who she is, and is generally too stubborn to back away from new challenges. Moana approaches new experiences and tasks with the utmost seriousness, and will stand her ground to fight for what she values even when all seems lost.

Voice Direction: Moana has a young, energetic, but relaxed voice.

Forging her identity to serve in the great war a millennia ago. Ever since then, she has been training non stop and fighting more foes. This earned her a powerful spiritual ranking and was blessed with the emerald for her bravery.

Personality: Tranquil as a forest, but a fire within. Mulan is a brave, fearless, and noble warrior. A confident and strong woman, but also fair and refined. 

Voice Direction: Mulan has a dignified and strong voice. Tranquil, yet powerful

  • You seem like you are plagued with doubt, Sonic. I’ve been there before. But just know that even if things seem impossible today, you can do anything if you set your mind to it. Like finding the remaining four emeralds.

The original toon has joined the adventure, providing assistance to Rouge on her mission to save Shadow from a terrible fate. He is a master of toon force and highly resourceful. But he does have a bit of an ego. 

Personality: Unlike Mickey, Oswald is more scrappy, short tempered, and aggressive. But his heart is in the right place and he has a strong sense of fun and humor. Oswald is not welcoming towards strangers and even comes across as spiteful towards people he doesn't trust. He is very brave, but overconfident, which makes Oswald impulsive and bordering to the point that Oswald can be ignorant and ultimately fumble. Ironically, despite having the moniker of "lucky", Oswald is prone to bad luck as much as good luck, which has led him into many unfortunate situations often caused by his own overconfidence. Oswald does have a competitive streak with Mickey and gets irritated whenever people ignore him.

Voice Direction: Oswald had a medium-highish voice that is energetic but also very overconfident in himself. Something closer to Frank Welker's take on the character

  • (Introducing himself) Ah, I see you brought along someone new. Name’s Oswald The Lucky Rabbit, at your service Maybe you’ve heard of me? Or my more “popular” brother but…eh I’m more important than him.

  • (Explaining backstory) As I was on the run, I ran into this person named Marilyn Fakenamé. She was a strange woman, but she offered me a place to stay and food to eat. I told her about my predicament and she gave me all sorts of weird do dads and tidbits. Including this! The Scroll of Demanitus!

Launchpad is the pilot of Scrooge Mcduck, assisting him on all of his exploits. However, Launchpad cannot make a proper landing to save his life. All of his flights end with a horrible crash landing, but at least he's reliable. 

Personality: Launchpad is a loyal yet absent-minded pilot who always gets the job done, even though he makes plenty of mistakes along the way. He is a lovable doofus with boundless optimism and is able to remain calm in intense scenarios 

Voice Direction: Launchpad has a sort of dopey, deepish voice with a hint of a midwest accent. I am looking for something closer to Terry McGovern's take on the character

Captain Hook serves Maleficent. Once a feared and renounced pirate, but was reduced to nothing after a showdown with Peter Pan. This defeat left him broken and enraged. The next time Pan fought Hook, that was his very last. Now Hook as aligned with King K. Rool in an effort to find the Chaos Emerald and regain his status.

Personality: While Hook has a lot of bravado, cunning, and a huge stage presence. He is also very cowardly and somewhat of an idiot. He is short tempered and prone to outbursts. Not even his own men are safe from his rage. 

Voice Direction: Captain Hook has a snobby, demeaning voice. It is very noble and has a bit of an English accent.. He is very posh, but prone to outbursts.

  • (Slightly nervous) I know what they are and what they are capable of, Mr. Smee. But we need all the help we can get. Now pipe down and grow some backbone, or I’ll have you walk the plank.

  • Set a course for Skull Rock. We’ll dispose of the rodents there! K. Rool should be returning with the Chaos Emerald any moment now.

  • (ANGRY) SMEE, YOU BLATHERING IMBECILE! YOU LET THEM ESCAPE! AUGGH, I SHOULD TIE YOU TO THE MAST FOR YOUR INCOMPETENCE!

A mysterious soldier connected with Maleficent stands in Shadow's way. Who is this strange new opponent? What is this person hiding? Are they more like him? And what kind of power does he have?

Personality: Not much is known about him other than he is an artificial being known as a Grimwalker created by Maleficent. He takes great pride in his work and treats it like a game, toying with his opponents as he fights. He is also lethal and well versed in combat. But other than that he is a complete enigma.

Voice Direction: The Golden Guard has a mediumsh voice that is smooth yet energetic.

  • Hmph, for someone as aware as you are. I’d expect you to have seen this coming, Shadow the Hedgehog!

  • I am a grimwalker. I was created to carry out the Day of Unity. And it starts by destroying you, Shadow. TAKE THIS!

The feared leader of the Deadly Six finds himself and his pack on a strange new island. They seek a mysterious gem that will be the key to their revenge. Little does he know that bigger, powerful, and hungrier villains are seeking it out too.

Personality:
Zavok is a cold, ruthless, and and merciless zeti with a ferocious nature and brutish intensiveness. Zavok has zero tolerance for failure and humiliation. Power-hungry and ever focused on his goals, Zavok does not let anything stand in his way. Despite his intensiveness though, Zavok has occasionally displayed a sarcastically dry sense of humor and keeps a calm demeanor. Zavok has a penchant for quick-thinking which makes him well-suited to leadership.

Voice Direction:
Looking for a deep, low, gruff, monstrous voice fitting of an apex predator. Feel free to use either Travis Willingham's or Patrick Seitz's takes on the characters.

  • (Slight anger and frustration at his pack) I come back after a perilous trek through the Resting Giant, only to find my pack washed up on the sand like a beached whale? What is the meaning of this pathetic display of weakness?

  • (slow and menacing. Holding Silver close and slowly threatening him)Ah yes, I remember you all too well. How you robbed me of my ultimate triumph. How you made a mockery of my pack. But what’s this I smell? Fear, doubt, sadness, grief, mmmmh, delicious. Oh, and you feel…colder…hmhmhmhm, I’ll start with you. Put you out of your misery.

  • (Finding a weapon, seeing it's corrupted, but then turning his attention to Sonic) There it is…the Heart of Te-Fiti…but it is all corrupted. I’ll find a way to revert it back to use as a weapon, but first I shall pound all four of you INTO DUST!

Master Zik

A smaller, old, yet wise Zeti who trained Zavok and the rest of the Deadly Six. While his leadership days are far behind him, Master Zik still fights for the Deadly Six and acts as a sort of advisor to Zavok.

Personality:
Master Zik is the wisest of the Deadly Six, serving as a source of wisdom for his students. , Despite the air of peace around him though, Master Zik can be very firm. He has no problem about stepping into a situation to handle it himself where others cannot, and he can be very strict and grimly serious when the situation calls for it. He takes a leveled joy in inflicting pain, torturing and killing others, and has no qualms about causing global genocide for his own gain. 

Voice Direction:
Master Zik has a raspy, old, scratchy and wise voice. Feel free to use Kirk Thornton's take on the character as reference.

  • (Scolding) Patience is a bitter plant, but its root is sweet. Remember that, Zazz. Zor is the only one of you lot that actually pays attention. While our path to get here was…full of turbulence to say the least, we are exactly where fate wants us to be. Remind me, why did we come to this island?

  • That’s one half of the reason, but the other you’ll have to wait and see. There are more powerful forces buried in these sands than the Chaos Emerald.

  • (Comically angry) DO YOU HANDLE ALL OF YOUR PROBLEMS BY BURNING THEM ALIVE? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? YOU SEEM LIKE YOU’D BE A TERRIBLE PRINCESS!

The solo female of the Deadly Six. Zeena joins her clan on a mysterious island to find a gem, but little does she know other more deadlier forces seek it too.

Personality: 

Zeena is a feisty, vain, cold-hearted and cruel individual who lacks initiative. She is very selfish and indifferent, preferring to look after herself by treating herself with free time despite the issues at hand, but she is not very likely to look after anyone else. Zeena is very vain regarding her appearance. She frequently takes care of her looks and is very protective of it, especially her nail art, and having it ruined infuriates her. She is also very fashion-savvy and will not hesitate to criticize others for their fashion sense. She also appears somewhat flirtatious in both speech patterns and body language, even flirting with Sonic while fighting him. Despite showing a lady-like composure most of the time, though, Zeena has a terrifying temper and is not shy about showing it.

Voice Direction:
Looking for a mid to high valley girl esc voice that it somewhat flirtatious. Feel free to use Stephanie Sheh's take on the character for reference.

  • (Irritated at ZOMOM) And eating is all you ever do, you gluttonous oaf! Because of you, we’re stuck on this oversized rock until we can find a way to repair this ship! Ugh, let’s just hope the sand doesn’t get in between my nails.

  • Ugh, whatever. This treasure better be worth it. I'm going to have to get my hair all dirty. Do you know how hard it is to keep it looking this good? Lots…and lots…of conditioner.

  • Hey, I told you to put Master Zik and myself out there with Zazz, but you didn’t listen. You just had to go with the emo and the giant pile of fat.

Personality:Shego is fearless, sarcastic, tough, seductive, and condescending towards almost everyone in her life. She's smart and is sensible when things go sour. She has many times sarcastically remarked on how Dr. Drakken's scheme will inevitably end in failure, either by his own hand or by Kim Possible. Despite this, Shego goes along with the scheme to do whatever she can to make it work, showing that she has a sense of loyalty towards those she works for, even if common sense would say to give it up. Shego is also temperamental. She is rather quick to anger, though she does have the composure to keep herself restrained when someone pushes her buttons. But whenever someone pushes her beyond her breaking point, she enters into a fury.

Personality: Kronk is Yzma's loyal assistant, despite her constant abuse, helping her where she's too old or unwilling to do things herself. He is often shown to be oblivious, devoid of common sense or otherwise not very intelligent, which leaves him easily susceptible to Yzma's orders. Despite working for Yzma, Kronk is a genuinely kind person, and enjoys helping those around him. His loyalty to Yzma seems to stem largely from being a people pleaser, regardless of the people in question. He also occasionally disobeys Yzma whenever he finds her commands to be too cruel.

Personality: Confident and persuasive, Hector Barbossa combines experience with almost reckless daring. Barbossa became a pirate because of his wish to raise his social status and his greed for wealth and power, but not because he wanted to live the adventurous life of a pirate. He considered himself a gentleman of the seas and could act polite if he wished; he possessed a certain eloquence which he frequently used to his advantage. Like some pirates, Barbossa considered the Pirate Code to be "more guidelines than actual rules", but nevertheless he respected the right of parley and preferred interpreting the Code in his own favor instead of breaking it openly.
