Sonic and friends encounter this pirate in a tavern, drinking rum and exchanging stories with his fellow patrons. However, this pirate is not on our hero's side.
Personality: Confident and persuasive, Hector Barbossa combines experience with almost reckless daring. Barbossa became a pirate because of his wish to raise his social status and his greed for wealth and power, but not because he wanted to live the adventurous life of a pirate. He considered himself a gentleman of the seas and could act polite if he wished; he possessed a certain eloquence which he frequently used to his advantage. Like some pirates, Barbossa considered the Pirate Code to be "more guidelines than actual rules", but nevertheless he respected the right of parley and preferred interpreting the Code in his own favor instead of breaking it openly.
Voice Direction: Barbosa has a West Country British accent and a pirate vernacular. Feel free to use Geoffrey Rush or Brian George

She was as talkative as a flock of pelicans, but had the strength to mop the poop deck with old Davy Jones and sent him plunging to fathom’s unknown. But you…there be something different about ye. Come…sit with old Barbosa.
(slow and sinister) They be whispers that Hook is looking for someone…someone no taller than a ship’s steering wheel. Someone colored like the mediterranean sea…someone quicker than a sailfish…and you, Sonic the Hedgehog. Fit that bill.
