This is a casting call for my ongoing Smash Bros. machinima series, Smash King, its spinoff, Smash King HD, and new distant sequel, Smash King 2Decades, where all series utilize the engines of Super Smash Bros Melee, Brawl, Wii U, and the recently released Ultimate.
The original Brawl series follows an incarnation of the infamous King of Koopas of the Marioverse, Bowser Koopa. Hampered by the reputation of an established villain and being a bottom tier character, this Bowser is unlike any his world has seen, for he has a conscience that makes him more receptible to be a good person. But, several circumstances come about through people around him and the world at large that further tempt him to revert back to his programmed evil ways. That is why he chooses to fight in the Smash King Tourney: to change the world for the better so that no other like him would suffer again. With Princess Peach at his side, they embark on their journey, but unbeknownst to them, Mario, who was long thought to be dead after his disappearance during the transfer of worlds, goes on his own journey to track them down... and kill Bowser.
The sequel series is set in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, 20 years after the original series. Things get political as it follows a brand-new incarnation of Bowser who seeks to continue his previous self's work and become the world's kingpin. While he will have many obstacles, his biggest one may come in the form of his rival, King K. Rool. A King that has everything versus a King that rises from nothing; who will come out on top?

Bio
Cloud Strife is an up-and-coming Spirit Hunter who gets wrapped up into being part of King K. Rool's crew. He's a subdued, aloof youth who wants to be above the nonsense of his peers. But, he at times falters due to either finding himself pulled into the madness or his own childishness and naivete. Despite this, he's a practiced swordsman in his own right with an adept mastery over magic, a power that grows each time he acquires certain Spirits. And after he claims them all, Cloud will be dead set on entering what is known as the "crater"...

You may choose to look to Cloud's official voice as a reference as that's what I'm honestly expecting. Bio
Azurite the Greninja, "Azure" for short, is another Spirit Hunter in training. He's a wild and loud ball of energy who adores battle, always up to burst onto the scene to demonstrate his supposed skills. He is VERY much unlike a traditionally quiet ninja, and that typically is what gets him and the people around him in trouble. Yet, he claims that he was a much more competent warrior in the past. After a big conflict, Azure gains a deep respect of K. Rool's own power and knowledge of Spirits that he willingly joins his crew.
Voice
For Azurite, I'm looking for a voice that nails the excitable, fiendish nature of the character. I'm not necessarily picturing anything sounding similar to Greninja's actual "voice" from the Pokemon series, but I also wouldn't mind that more "gremlin" take as long as the elements I'm looking for shine through.
(Overzealous) Jaaa! You call Azurite, the tidal tempest himself, a rookie?! The flames of that beast are oppressive, that may be. But, they are paltry to the vicious tsunami that is me!
(Wickedly) *cackles, then slurps* My path to resurgence is within reach… Jaaa...

Bio
Byleth is the local teacher at New Donk City's Wrinkly Academy, and one of King Bowser's three personal instructors alongside Wii Fit Trainer. While WFT trains the body, this new-gen Trophy trains the mind, guiding the Neo Koopa Troop in their journey of learning more about the world as they travel to the other Cardinal Sectors throughout the tournament. He can however get carried away in his own pursuit of knowledge to a comical degree, as he sometimes hyper-focuses on a new discovery or over something he's only ever heard rumors about.
Voice
Byleth's voice can range from the male version's official voice (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNqzbJPTvHI) or something else entirely. As he's a minor role, I'm not too picky as long as he sounds mature and well-read like a school teacher.
The contamination of the Trophies made it so that we still feel the Twin Banes’ grasp even now, and that affects the Spirits. And they have also lost their home. Are we truly the only ones suffering?
Now, can anyone explain what ‘The World’s Vanquishment’ is to me?

While Sora isn't set to appear in Smash King 2Decades just yet, there is a special project I'm developing in the background that features him. And since I want to keep that project under wraps right now, I'm choosing to refrain giving him a full bio as to not spoil it.

Bayonetta, the Umbra Witch. Her background since the Force World a mystery, she currently stands as one of the senior members of Bowser's crew, the Neo Koopa Troop. Apparently, she works under a special contract that binds her to the Koopa King's side; how the previous incarnation managed THAT, who knows? Her grace and confidence unparalleled, and very much as promiscuous and flirty as she looks, she fights as if it were a dance, putting up with her "shackles" to reclaim her so-called "lost power" she used to have in the previous world.
For Bayonetta's voice, I want you to take after her actual voice as much as possible. Hmm, have I gained some weight? I knew I should’ve laid off those bloody Star Bits. Well, after I acquire some hands-on examination from the Creator, I’ll be my "old self" again.
Corrin is a member of the Scourges of Calamity, the crew belong to Ganondorf of the Quadrivium. Wary of his manager's past selves' actions and how the supposed evil trophies are steadily growing into top members of society, he's one of the many skeptics that are afraid of what the future may bring. He appears rigid and resolved in his beliefs, but due to his own naivety and impressionable nature, he's not a very hard nut to crack under pressure. But, perhaps that's what he needs to see what's right in front of him...
For his voice, I'm open for anything for this character, as long as it's within a late-teen or young adult range.
That’s the difference between the two of you, actually. Ganondorf knows when to stay in his lane. He’s not so arrogant as to think he has any place on the Council. Like you did.
(Curious) This Spirit is restless. Is it trying to tell me something?

Jasper is the Prime Incineroar of the World of Smash who plays the heel in underground slugfests as his starting point for making it big as a Smasher. Despite his imposing features and his penchant for acting like an arrogant and abrasive showboat, this emotional fire-starter can come off as a drama queen during his downtime, despite his best efforts to look like an aloof and stern father figure for his foster daughter. He's full of heart, eager to impress children the most such as his nature...
For a voice, I'm in need of one that can meet the vigor and hotblooded nature of the character. He's a wrestler archetype that relishes in showing off, so anything that matches his confident and self-important persona will work for him. Feel free to add a bit of spice to your performances just as long as the energy is there.
(Confidently) With a title like mine, I can not remain silent! When the spotlight is on me, I do not Incine-purr! I do not Incine-meow! I, Jasper the Jubilant… INCINEROARRRRRR!!!
(Firmly) Hmph. When you get into Smashing yourself, you’ll realize that clout is more important than money.
(Panicked) I am in no mood for your sass, young lady; I’m in the middle of a crisis right now! Ohhhhhh, I feel tears forming; I'm gonna cry!
Amber is a Pichu adopted by Jasper the Incineroar. She deeply looks up to the Heel Pokemon and aims to become a professional Smasher like him someday. Despite her positivity and childlike qualities, she's surprisingly the realist between the two who has to take charge whenever her foster father gets into his more emotional tirades.
I have no real preference for Amber's voice, only that it should sound a young, elementary-school girl, perhaps have a squeaky type of sound befitting a small cartoon mouse. Feel free to experiment.
(Proudly) Papa plays the heel, so he doesn’t always draw the most pleasant attention; but the way he keeps smiling in spite of that… I admire that so much. When I evolve, I wanna become a Smasher just like him.
(Teasingly) Didn’t you always say that you’re the adult around here, Papa?
(Angrily) What are you doing, selling out like this?! No roof over our heads is worth this torture!
Villager is depicted as the landlord of the Tomodachi Life Complex. One of the few trophies uninterested in the life of Smashing, he simply lives by providing shelter and getting friendly with his boarders, upholding a neutral outlook and is always found genuinely interested in people and their life routine, good or bad. However, he's known to exhibit a creepy side whenever trouble occurs in his complex, especially when a certain Incineroar fails to pay his rent on time...
Despite his appearance as a young boy, I'm open to anything for this character's voice. I only ask that, for his line where he's meant to sound creepy, have some subtlety behind it. Nothing over-the-top, more like you leaving a hint while not being entirely transparent and obvious about it, if that makes sense. Feel free to ask for any further feedback; I feel like it'll be needed for this character in particular.

Cirrina the Inkling Girl is the rambunctious, gung-ho member of the Neo Koopa Troop, second only to perhaps their newest recruit, Jasper. Her magnetic, extroverted personality allows her to also be a commentator for exhibition matches. Wisecracking and always marching to her drum's own beat, Cirrina's situational awareness and knowledge of match-ups aren't to be underestimated, which earns her the role of the field leader for the team. Shame her fortune-telling skills aren't taken as seriously though; for as wacky and random they could be, they typically tend to come true...
I'll typically have this character speak with hip, cool dialogue that reflects the game series origin, Splatoon, so I'm looking for an actress to pull this off naturally with an energetic young girl voice.
(Sprightly) What up, ‘Kingfish’? I’m sensing some hawt vibes from ya right now! Want me to tell your fortune?
Heeeeey, let’s get some ‘Booyahs’ in the chat for me, guys! Booyah, baby!

Young Link, the former new recruit of the Neo Koopa Troop prior to Jasper. To differentiate himself from the other Links of the world, he insists on being called "Kokiri." Unfortunately for him, most people stick to calling him "Yoink" instead. Unlike Cirrina, he's very serious-minded and focused, which makes him an easy target to be teased and accused of being humorless. It's not to say that he's incapable of some quips from time to time, and he at least has it in him to respond with sympathy when people are depressed around him.
I'm looking for a serious, no-nonsense tone for your performance. Young Link can be performed by either male or female, and I'm not at all too picky of how I want the character to sound, given the nature of it. You can go for a child voice, something akin to a teenager, I'm accepting of either as long as it meets the tone of voice I want.
It's okay. I've learned a lot from this, so there's nowhere else to go but up, right?
(Frustrated) Cirrina, you suck! You're supposed to be down here coaching me!
I'm not sure what you meant by all that, Jigglypuff... (Sarcastically) but I'm sure it must sound NOBLE to you.
Richter Belmont is one of the older recruits of the Neo Koopa Troop, albeit the slothful one of the group. Luck very rarely being on his side, he's usually found bellyaching and bemoaning his current situations. That being said, he's still self-conscious of how others see him and makes attempts to look cool from time to time... with varying success. Richter's petty and slow to get going, but he's a decent fighter in his own right. However, he excels in spirit-hunting, leading the charge to track down and capture rare Spirits for the team. It's only just one particular Spirit he's desperately searching for that continues to elude him...
For Richter, I'm looking for a low-key, subdued performance for the character; he will have moments where he will have to emote more to the point of screaming, so consider your range as well. I can either take a young man voice or something a little older. And while an accent isn't necessary, I'm not against him having one, if you like.
(Frustrated) Cripes… All those Spirits in Fourside, and not a one is what I’m looking for. How does the saying go? “Needle in a haystack?” Feels like the ‘haystack’ is a meadow, and I’m struggling just to find the blasted sewing machine.
Oh lucky me, I have the black cat on my team. Seriously, ever since you crossed my path, I always have to watch for cracks on the street. We have DONKEY KONG as our masseuse, you know? His methods aren't what I would call... delicate.

Diddy Kong in this series is Cirrina's fellow partner in commentary, known together as "Fish in a Barrel." He speaks with much more committed hip lingo than Cirrina, so I'm looking for natural, excitable performances to bring this showboat to life. A light to mid-range pitch of voice is what I'm after, though I'm willing to disregard that if your takes are good. Also, the original Smash King's version of the character has him make monkey sounds as a verbal tic, so I'm also looking for some convincing chimp noises in the third line.

Wii Fit Trainer is a male trainer stationed at Bowser's facility, Prism Tower. He is typically mild-mannered, polite, and by-the-books, proudly holding exercise classes for a prestigious agency. However, this attitude lends itself to a perfectionist attitude, so he gets easily annoyed whenever something goes wrong to disrupt his daily routines and schedules. He is always stretching, flexing, and sprinting, even in conversation. His energy is near limitless that you wonder why people would intentionally prank him for the sake of it. Because there is no escape. He WILL catch you...
I'm looking for a humble, serene kind of voice; I want him to sound confident and approachable, then almost overbearing when he has to shout. Age range says Young Adult, but it can also range into being Middle-Aged as well.

Lady Palutena is the Gatekeeper of the World of Chiaroscuro, a role she has had for decades where she protects the world from the more fantastical threats. This Goddess is also known as President Dedede's "First Lady" or "better half," as she takes it upon herself to make sure her partner is responsible and presentable to the populace. Despite that, she also has tendencies to have a bit of fun and mischief whenever the opportunity presents itself. She resides in Skyworld where many worshippers come to pray in her name, making her a valued and loved figurehead. But, that is her only solace from the loneliness she feels deep inside...

Isabelle is a member of the New Pork Council, the secretary of the bunch. This diminutive bipedal canine is among the most efficient of workaholics, always going above and beyond what is realistically asked of her in the office. However, despite her unassuming looks, she's a closet thrill seeker who's quite into the tournament scene, seeing battles as stress relief to the point where she's willing to get her own hands dirty. This tends to get her roped with the sleaziest of people, and who "better" than a king of crocodiles...?
For a voice, I'm open to any sort of pitch. Despite the character's small and cutesy stature, I certainly don't mind a huskier, mature tone for Isabelle, just as long as I feel like I'm listening to a professional woman with a hedonistic side.
(Professionally) I suggest we harvest some Star Bits for the Winter Festival this year, Mr. President. Already texting Rosalina, annnnd we’re set to toss around ideas for different cake and gelatin recipes involving Star Bits tomorrow.

Chrom is the de-facto leader of the New Pork Council, as well as the lead sponsor of the Exalt Blades. Regal and proper, you can always count on him to keep people focused on the task at hand, though he's often criticized for being a killjoy. He's no stranger to tough decisions and can be pretty adamant about his stance and beliefs to a fault. But, he's almost like a different person when it comes to his daughter...
Being close to his original voice actor from Fire Emblem Awakening is not required. All I'm looking for is a middle-aged voice for someone who's strict and audacious and will do all it takes to maintain order.
(Sternly) Whether my day turns out well or not depends on this conference. So, shall we get back to it?

Robin is the tactician of the New Pork Council, Bowser's replacement. She is Chrom's partner in both the marital sense and in the business sense, aiding him with his speeches and means of interrogation with her analytical mind. But, that all comes with a harsh tongue and eagerness to antagonize people that are against her, her latest target that being Bowser...!
When voicing for this character, you're meant to sound brash and egocentric. The pitch should be medium-sounding for a young adult; I also could see her having a type of accent, if you should choose to provide one.
(Informative) Spirits proceed to either take on a volatile, physical form… or consume whomever elicited them. Lady Palutena has a natural ability to expel these Hostile Spirits with her powers, but that doesn’t stop these incidents from happening.
(Caustically) We PROTECT the people. If there are valid concerns… we respond APPROPRIATELY.
(Arrogantly) Say whatever you like, Bowser. Because, end of the day, your seat on the Council is mine now. And yes... I fill it out quite nicely.
Member of the Treasure Pests, Little Mac was a C-Lister that had his humble start as a Smasher as the foil to Jasper the Incineroar. He's stubborn to a fault and doesn't always adapt the quickest in battle, but he longs to improve his craft for his fans back at New Pork City. But, upon reuniting with Jasper after a week since their last match, a feeling that had been festering inside the boxer begins to boil over. Mac feels ever-so-smaller compared to the reputation and recognition of the bombastic Heel... and he hates that.
I'm looking for a medium-ranged voice for Little Mac, not too young and not too old. When voicing him, you must sound passionate and energetic yet also resentful. And since the character canonically is from New York according to Punch Out, I'd also really like to hear a Bronx accent out of him, if possible.
(Defiantly) Yeah? Well, today will be the day the floor mat finds a new boyfriend after I give you this haymaker!

Terry Bogard is the newest recruit of Little Mac's team, the Treasure Pests. Gutsy and rambunctious, he's the mood maker of the crew and always tends to lead the charge due to his penchant for flashiness. But, he is also a humble and friendly team player, especially to Little Mac whom he looks after like a brother.
While I'm eager for any kind of voice that fits the excitable and showboating nature of this character, I'm very particular to how his attack names are delivered as well.
