Project Overview

Log Line:

A physics student and his childhood friend go into the woods
intent on finding out what the sounds their community have been hearing are. As the
last ray of light seeps out of the pines, leaving them black; she comes.

This project is for an independent video game that will be made available through Steam. This video game will have roughly 20-30 minutes of playable content and will contain a lot of dialogue from the main character Luke. We aim to have completed all the dialogue by the end of November in time for the Projects official release in January of 2018.

Luke - Mid to late 20's

A troubled man who struggles to communicate and connect with others. Looking for an actor who you feel is introverted, just by looking at them. Looking for dark hair, any skin tone. He's a physics student at uni.

Luke is so shy he blends in with the background. His lack of self confidence hides the fact that he is very intelligent and actually quite handsome. In the woods he is forced to confront his fears allowing him to discover himself and become the man he was always destined to be.

LUKE:

That must have been the wolves. There's quite a few out
here. They're said to be harbingers of her. I think it was 1910, no 11. A group
of men went into the woods to start a timber business. But when their loved
ones, their family returned to the lodge, they found their kinda, decimated
corpses. Uh ok, there was a certain movement there. Leaves falling. Must have
been... gravity. I think she comes.

Luke's Sister - mid to late teens

A naive and introverted girl whose only real friend is her brother, Luke. This should be shown through her voice which should be high pitched and uncertain. She is quirky and fun but is too shy to be herself with other people, which has lead to her social isolation.

Luke is about to leave with the crew to brave the woods, when his sister attempts to stop him in her persuasive yet harmless manor.

Luke’s Sister: Please Luke, don’t do this. You know the consequences. You know what happened to the other guy. Luke you’re all I have ever since… ever since Penelope left us. Dear, Penelope… (Slow weeping is heard from her)
Those books lie! You can’t stop Mary, she’s too strong. You can't physics your way out of this one.
