Hey there, friends! My name is Bea Olivia. I’m a voice actor and director. I’ve been wanting to make a visual novel for a while, so here we are! I’m looking forward to all of your amazing interpretations in the auditions!
Now, What is Saccharine about exactly?
SACCHARINE is a visual novel following two completely opposite boutiques: Meraki Fashion, run by the warm but stubborn Evaliane, and Druxy Clothing, owned by the sharp and quietly passionate Meliodas. Pastels and ribbons clash with leather and ripped denim as the two shop owners constantly try to outdo one another. But somewhere between sarcastic remarks and late-night storefront standoffs, their rivalry starts to feel less like a battle—and more like something neither of them expected.
What do we need from YOU?
We would prefer all cast members to be 15+ for safety reasons.
No generative AI is allowed whatsoever.
We would also prefer you give us another way of contact! Preferably discord or email.
Professional sounding mic, no background noise.
A word of advice from the team...
When you're recording, your mic quality isn't the only thing that matters. The way you deliver the lines mean a lot during an audition, sooo... here's a tiny guide!
To be able to deliver lines properly, it's better if you understand the character! if they have a personality description, you better read it... you should also pay attention to if they mispronounce anything! for example, if a character has a lisp or an accent, its usual that they'd pronounce some words differently.
Luckily for you bunch, we'll be providing short character summaries alongside their audition info!

Meliodas has a Scottish accent. if you audition with a scot accent, you're more likely to get the role. same with Soliel and her french accent!

In this visual novel, Meliodas plays the role of one out of two main characters!
Yes, Meliodas looks like your run-of-the-mill grunge emo boy, and with that, you'd think he acts all tough and angry, right? welp, you're wrong! He's soft spoken and shy, on occasion he can be loud, but it's rare. Unlike Evaliane, he's afraid to share his opinions, or to stand up to customers. you wouldn't believe how many robberies Druxy Clothing has been through...
Meliodas tends to stutter on big words, such as: Triceratops, Evaliane, Conformity, and many more like that! I know i said he's shy and soft spoken, but please don't over do it!
[Quiet, Introduction] "Yooo... uh, come on in. Druxy is a pretty cool store, but i might be biased. anywho, just holler at me if you need anything."
[Flustered, Nervous] "I- Uh, uhm. ahh.. thank... you? uhm. uh- i- haha!.."
[Annoyed, Arrogant] "Well, my deepest apologies, princess. sorry that MY store is better than yours."

In this visual novel, Evaliane plays the role of one out of two main characters!
Although Evaliane looks like a simple and cute girl, her personality is almost the complete opposite! She's loud and proud about all of her opinions, and tends to throw a fit when somebody disagrees with her. To anybody who knows her, she's rather intimidating, but those who don't? well, they're considered very lucky to only see and innocent and cute beauty like her!
Evaliane tends to talk with her hands and exaggerate all of her movements, she's very cartoonish! She also can't pronounce the words: Cinnamon, Tarantula and Sea Anemone.
[Welcoming, subtly bragging] "Welcome to Meraki Fashion! AKA, the BEST fashion store in the whole city! i'm just over at the desk if you need anything, hehe."
[Upset, dramatic] "Ugh, why!? you're just some sewer rat looking guy anyways, i don't need your opinion!"
[Warm, Kind] "Awh, hey there, little bud! Are you doing okay? You look a little young to be here without your parents..."

In this visual novel, Hailey plays the role of one out of eight side characters!
Hailey is your average trust fund baby, and she can't stay away from shopping sprees! if she has money, it'll be spent in a second. She's bratty and spoiled. don't cross her, because she'll get her hoard of online followers to doxx you... besides being an entitled brat, she's also one of Evaliane's close friends! She gets regular discounts, although she doesn't need them. Alongside acting spoiled and above others, she can be quite a flirt! She's definitely had her eye on Meliodas for a while...
Hailey tends to drag her words, it's hard to describe. instead of "yeah", Hailey would say "nyeahh.." or somewhat. Valley girl accent!
[Excited, intrigued] "Ooooh! A discount!? I can’t pass that up!"
[Flirty] "Heyy! Meliodas, right? mhm. i realllyyy love your style. yeah! makes you look super.."
[Upset, bratty, on the phone] "Ugh, but WHY!? Daaaad! that's no fair! you only gave me a small budget this week! (beat) I- NO! $1,600 IS SMALL!"

In this visual novel, Ezra plays the role of one of our side characters!
Ezra may look like a silent character, but they're the complete opposite! Ezra is eccentric and loud. like, extremely. don't get them too excited, you might start an avalanche... Yes, Ezra is a loud and easily excitable character, but they have their quiet moments. They could also be what is considered as being cringe.
Ezra's speech is always clear and pronounced, whether they're crying or jumping for joy!
[Amused, Curious] "I WAS JUST CONFUSED… YOU TWO ACT A LOT LIKE ME AND MY WAIFU DID WHEN WE WERE GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER!

In this visual novel, Bellamy plays the role of one of our side characters!
Bellamy acts much like his style, Gyaro, is presented! he's dramatic, over the top, and just overall loud. think of Denki Kaminari from MHA. He's loud and proud with EVERYTHING, and also Meliodas' self proclaimed 'bestie'... sure you are bud... he talks with his hands a lot, and is overall a very expressive person!
Bellamy is loud almost all of the time! he also has a stutter/stammer. please be sure to keep that in mind for your auditions.
[Loud, greeting] "YOOOO! MELI, MY MAN! i haven't seen ya for like. a week, bro! psh, i cant WAIT to tell you all 'bout my VAYCAYYYY!"
[Tired] "Phew! Finally get some hot chocolate when i'm home..."

Toro is rather shy and timid at first glance, but up close, he's as playful as playful gets! he loves playing pranks on the customers and shop owners. he often roams the market filled streets alone, pick pocketing and stealing whatever he can. FOR FUN!
Toro has a lisp, and a childish voice! please convey that properly.
[Suspicious, hiding something] "Heyyy! whaaaaat!? nah uh! couldnt have been me. i've been here with. uhhhm.. Miss pink lady the WHOLEEEE time!"
[Proud, introduction] "My name is Toro! Toro Abara! I'm like. super awesome! like robin hood... heh."

Soliel is an opera singer, and EVERYONE knows it. she sings every chance she gets! every. single. line. She usually keeps to herself, though. They prefer not to start conversations, but will happily engage in them if someone else starts it!
As stated, Soliel is an opera singer, so please be able to sing for this role.

Athena is very proud of her stance on life, and her views overall. she's very heavy on 'treat how you wanna be treated', but with people in the towns views on her, she's used to being disrespected & being disrespectful. overall, she's a sweetheart! a sort of mother figure to Meliodas.
Athena's voice is masculine and raspy, but any voice type is welcome to audition!
