REVOLT: Wargames is a novel set in a futuristic world where athletes (Gladiators) with superpowers (Godsends) battle each other in arenas for glory. There are many teams (Factions) that compete; they tend to be made up of five Gladiators with their own distinguished position/role in the team (Ace/Captain, Second, Tandem Double, Fifth, and on rare occasions, Floating Sixth). The main factions explored so far are Red Dragon (Shiro’s father’s legacy), Tower of Babel (Eli’s adopted legacy), and The Family (Kuro’s family’s legacy). Upon successful casting we would like to ask for the lines to be turned over within 2 weeks in a per chapter format.
Recordings will take place either in live-directed sessions or self-directed sessions with the submitted audio requiring a minimum of 2 takes per line.
The role of NARRATOR will not have live-directed sessions and will not require 2 takes.
In relation to AI, please find the following clause which is included in our agreement: "Client shall not use the recorded voice assets to train or create a synthetic reproduction of Talent’s voice for text-to-speech and/or artificial intelligence algorithms, or to sell or distribute the assets for such purposes to third-party companies, without Talent’s express and informed consent."

For the Japanese accent we are looking for “anime-esque” delivery; the people from Japan have been speaking English for 4 generations but will have developed their own way of speaking which the creator imagines sounding like anime dub voices
If auditioning for NARRATOR or MITSUHARU just 1 take of 1-2 lines is sufficient as the sample lines are quite lengthy
It’s possible to have a main or supporting role along with an extra role as long as the voices are distinct enough from each other and the characters don’t interact within the same scene, so you’re HIGHLY ENCOURAGED to audition for as many roles as possible
Our overall goal in casting extras is to make the time spent recording and payment received worth it for the actors; we plan to cast talent that can perform multiple roles in the hopes that the total word count exceeds at least 500 words

Small dust particles floated through the dissipating rays of light as a summer afternoon began to dwindle and welcome the evening. Toshiro Hikari, known as Shiro to most, kept the broom in his hand sweeping to and fro as if in a trance—a trance that helped take his mind off of the task at hand—cleaning the Dojo. A bead of sweat rolled down his forehead, past his brow, and teased his eyelashes, prompting him to wipe it away while running his hand through his silvery-white hair. He glanced around the room, his eyes lazily scanning the areas still awaiting his attention. It wasn’t that he disliked being at the Dojo, and Red Dragon compensated him generously for his age. But being surrounded by others paid to live out the dream he longed for was enough to dampen even the brightest spirits.
Shinsuke closed his eyes as he took a long draw of the cigarette, 1 the embers on the end glowing. He held the smoke before letting it drift out of his nose and rolling his neck as if trying to ease some hidden tension. Kuro stepped over to his desk and picked up a small device, holding it out in front of Shinsuke. Shinsuke placed his cigarette into his mouth, grabbed the crudely crafted device with both hands and turned it over to examine it. It was a small metal box, its surface covered with exposed wires and a single switch on the side.
With a squeal of glee, Atticus vaulted over the railing and took off into the night after Kuro. Nathaniel followed with silent purpose but just as much vigour. In the distance, Kuro was still running. His feet slammed against the pavement, his breath ragged as he darted between the maze of alleyways, ducking into shadows, hoping—praying—that he had put enough distance between himself and Driscoll’s. But little did he know that Nathaniel and Atticus Driscoll, the two feared Generals of the Desperados of the 309, were already in pursuit. And in this game—he was the prey.

His primary motivation is his bond with Toshiro and Eli, who are the only reason he continues to live.

As you know, when a Gladiator activates a Canto of their Godsend, they use a phrase to trigger it. Initially, that was just a marketing gimmick, catchphrases for branding and sponsorships. And, after all, Wargames is a business, and catchphrases sell well. However, over time, we learned something. These awakening phrases became more than words, synchronising the body with the output of the Godsend. It acts like a cue, preparing the mind, body, and Godsend for the specific output required. It ensures a controlled release of power. Godsend stamina is limited, so losing control or overusing it when not intending to is a bad idea. Eventually, upon repeating your chosen phrase, your body will automatically learn to process and fine-tune the exact output required in each activation.
Toshiro, my boy, I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that your Godsend has awakened now. But the road ahead isn’t going to be easy. Unlike others who grew up mastering their Godsend, you’ve missed years of honing your power. And the spotlight our lineage will cast over you will make your life more difficult.
