Personality & Motivations: Initially introduced as a lazy, sarcastic, and unkempt recluse who does nothing but play video games and sleep. This persona is a mask for his profound guilt and grief over the death of Kensei Hikari, his mentor, whom he believes he could have saved. When he finally agrees to train Toshiro, his true nature is revealed: a highly skilled and intelligent fighter and a tough-love mentor who is deeply committed to helping Toshiro succeed.
