Project Overview

"Rebooting Fabi" is an animated slice of life/drama for ioxTV.


SYNOPSIS:

The show is about a girl called Fabi, who, after living in a disastrously-dysfunctional environment (Her “pseudo-foster-parents”), decides to sneak out and start a new life. Suddenly, she mets Sharon, who will be her caretaker as Fabi tries to fit in the (set in the mid-to-late 2000's) world she’s in, as we know the mystery of… Who are Fabi's real parents?

In her way, she will encounter new fascinating things from the world, make new friends, face various roadblocks, and learn to grow up from these experiences.

In simple words: It's a 2000's Slice of Life Cartoon, with Drama elements.

ABOUT ioxTV:

ioxTV is a small independent production and distribution team, focused on giving small unheard creators the opportunity to release their original content (shorts, shows, music, etc...) while their creator/s can still maintain the rights to it.

Rebooting Fabi is one of those projects, but the team is small for the show (due to ioxTV itself not having enough available staff to help, and my reduced, and also busy, connections).

Also, with ioxTV being way small, the project doesn't have a big budget, and i can't give direct pay to all/I suck at financing, as an ioxTV Project Manager is handling the money.

  • Future for Rebooting Fabi

    Hello peeps.

    I've decided to close auditions for Rebooting Fabi earlier than I expected. For those who auditioned, thanks for giving it a chance, and hey, we have some who got accepted from here.

    The main reason I closed auditions:

    Rebooting Fabi was 1 of the 5 accepted projects that ioxTV give the greenlit, however, there were changes that caused the project get delayed, like ownership shift, future pitches taking more attention than some of the first 5, understaffed production, and overall uncertainty caused that I had to call it quits with iox and produce Rebooting Fabi somewhere else.

    And with the auditions having ioxTV mentioned in the title, i've decided that I have to make a new one with future roles like animators and possibly extra characters to audition, if the pilot has enough interest once it gets released.

    Hope this clears things up about the status of Rebooting Fabi's production. Take care.

PROTAGONIST

She is the titular character of the show. She is curious, early smart and wants to have fun, but she was restricted to that, due to past experiences, making her scared of the world, but she will have the needed courage to combat them and beat her fears.



VOICE EXPECTATIONS

I expect a soft, bubbly, but slightly worried tone in her voice, but as the show keeps going, Fabi's confidence will grow

Sharon is a hard-working police officer and currently single mother. She loves and cares about Fabi, and her biological son, Markus. She will do anything she can to protect them from any danger on their lives

PROTAGONIST

Markus (Sharon's biological son) is a hyperactive and adventurous 10 year old boy.

He is one of the most known kids in the neighborhood... although by his antics.


Markus is that kind of kid that shows the imaginative and playful way of seeing the world to the rest, specially to Fabi

The animation will be a mix of Traditional and Puppet Rig 2D animation, being made with Adobe, Krita, Tahoma2D or Toon Boom Harmony (That depends on the tools you have in handy)


The style tries to be similar to cartoons made in Adobe Flash in the 00's (like Foster's Home or El Tigre) and maybe the canadian ones.

The events in Rebooting Fabi take place in Neharville, a fictional state loosely based in the New England region's New Hampshire. 

The beforementioned is esential for the little details of the show, as for the others will have to wait as the show continues.


I don't have much knowledge or experience of the region's states, so i'm heading to people who at least do know.
