Project Overview

We at Quest TCG are working to put together and introductory trailer for our youtube channel introducing potential players to our first wave of starter decks for the game. Quest TCG is in indie tabletop game company and this is our first official project of this capacity. We are asking for voices for a number of characters that will be featured within the first two starter decks as well as an announcer voice over. 

The role descriptions listed below are loose enough that you should feel free to play around with them and experiment with things outside of what is asked as the characters themselves are still very much in flux.

    Thank you so very much for all the submissions we've gotten here for our little project! Far more than we honestly anticipated. We appreciate all of the talented voice actors here interested in lending their voices to our project. We wish we could cast you all! But with only 13 roles, and significantly more auditions, we now begin the hardest part of the process, casting! Every submission we got for this project absolutely blew us away, even those of you that don't get cast should feel very proud for the excellent work you've put in! And while there are only 13 roles available for this project, it most certainly will not be the last project we post here! We hope you all feel encouraged to continue submitting to other projects and future ones from us here at Quest TCG! Wonderful job, each and ever one of you!

We're looking for a storyteller voice over character for this role. We're hoping for a voice that sounds wise, old, and sagely. Feel free to go biblical and ethereal with your auditions here.

  • Long ago, a battle began. Worlds collided in a cacophony of sound and light. The denizens of those worlds beheld one another. Beings of a world beyond their own.

  • The beings of these worlds did not know what had brought their paths to meet at these crossroads. They did not know one another, they did not the others stories or their songs or their hearts. 

  • A new story must begin. A story of war and hardship. A story of warriors, castles, creatures and magic. A new journey must begin, a new Quest.

Canebot is a robot constructed for the purpose of being the fanciest bot in the world. He is the leader of the Casino Machinery and all of its employees. He is a kind-hearted bot, but will throw down if his bots are in danger.

  • I do believe we have company. Charmbot, let's get our guests some drinks. It's good manners to provide refreshments BEFORE you provide a walloping!

  • Do you even realize you stand before the mighty Casino Machinery? Do you really think you have a chance at victory? Hah! I'll take that bet.

  • Drink Slingerbot, a little bit of a pick me up will you? Alright! I'm feeling souped-up!

Charmbot was created by an extremely intelligent inventor with crippling social anxiety to accomplish the one goal he couldn't, making friends. She is bubbly and optimistic near constantly. The accent is up to you, but we want to convey youthful optimism with her character

  • On it Cane! The world renowned entertainer Charmbot is on the job!

  • I was not designed for fighting! Ugh, if my creator could see me now he'd be so disappointed. At least I made a bunch of friends like he asked.

  • I might not be a battle droid, but I can hold my own! Lets do this Cane! Charmbot, ready for coalescence!

Chip Runnerbot is a gamblin man among gamblin men. We're looking for a sort of 1920s mobster accent for this role, but feel free to experiment with it. We're looking for a archetype gamblin man with a cheating problem.

  • The name is Chip, Chip Runnerbot. And if you think I ain't got a shot in this casino then your gonna get hit with my Double Dirty Down!

  • What a world to live in! Where a bot can win fair and square and still get accused of cheating. Ace up my sleeve? I don't know what you're talking about!

  • Hey! For your information, I happen to be the best card player in the casino! No one in town can beat these Hasty Heated Fingers!

A childlike bot that manages the baggage at the Casino Machinery's nearby motel. Kind of the little brother/sister of the group. We're looking for a younger sounding voice for this role. Shoot from something innocent and childish.

  • Hello! May I take your bags? Great! I'll take them to the junk shack, you wont be needing them anymore after all!

  • I think the upcoming battle has Mr. Canebot off of his game. He hasn't even noticed Chip's been rigging the games all day!

  • I hope we all make it out of the next battle ok. It would be a shame to make too many trips to the junk shack, that place creeps me out!

An old fashioned bartender bot. Wise and sagely with a touch of realistic life experience thrown in there for good measure. Our first thoughts are an older man with a southern draw for this character, but feel free to experiment!

  • Cane? You want your drink shaken or stirred? Yah, that what I thought. Order up, now go scrap em.

  • Charm, your gears are looking a bit rusty. Here have a drink, we'll have you back up in running in no time!

  • I've got nothing against those poor fellows knocking on our front door, but if they don't stop causing a ruckus I'm gonna have to call Big Body in here to deal with em.

A bruiser at the casino. He serves as the bouncer/bodyguard figure for the employees at the casino machinery. We are looking for a typical deep voiced security droid kind of sound for this one. But as with all the others, feel free to send in stuff that we don't expect!

  • I am not a mindless killing machine. My neural processor is functioning normally. The "killing machine" part is right on the money though.

Scorpion is one of the guardians of the flow of time. They are manipulative and quick to turn a situation in their favor. We are looking for a villainous, manipulative voice for this character, but feel free to experiment with different sounds.

  • It appears we have company. I hope they do not mind the sand, or the heat...or the poison.

  • The sands of time come for us all, we are merely their messengers. They say hello.

  • Time is a fickle thing, one minute your here, the next your drowning beneath the ever flowing wave of time. I hope you can swim.

Bighorn is a quiet soul, but when they speak it is to deliver information of the utmost importance. They are soft spoken and gentle. Feel free to play around with voices to come up with something.

Rat is one of the guardians of time. They are the youngest of the group and speak with a high pitched voice. Just have some fun playing around with some higher pitched sounds.

  • Often it takes the smallest set of eyes to see the bigger picture. And they do not come much smaller than mine.

  • What is time but the endless journey from beginning to end to beginning to end. Over and over again, the wheel turns and grinds the world to powder.

Cobra is the rational member of the group. They keep things flowing smoothly and function of the core heart of the guardians of time. We are looking for a voice tone that is both trustworthy and not entirely forthcoming. The kind of being that deals in half-truths, but never lies. Feel free to play around with that concept.

  • The guardiansssss need no introduction to the wayssssss of the world. We created them, forged them within the sssssandsss of time.

  • Time knowsss no masssster, for time caresss asss much for the whimsss of man as the desiresss of the grainsss of sssand on the beach. That is to sssay, very little.

  • The world knowsss little of what we do. We would like to keep it that way.

Coyote is one of the two leaders of the guardians of time. He is confident to the point of arrogance, and often underestimates others. He is prideful and relentless in his endeavors. We are thinking a deeper, more heinous, voice for this character, but we are often to other options.

  • They say that time has no master, this is a falsehood. Time has a master to whose will it bends, that master is me. 

  • The artificial beings call for war against us. It appears there is no choice, we must destroy them. Pity, I hate such one-sided conflicts.

  • The dawn has broken. Hah, at last I may drink of the oasis and relax in the shade. Hmm. If only it were ever that simple.

The other of the two leaders of the guardians of time. Manipulative and downright sadistic, Vulture is a vindictive creature indeed. Utilizing time as a tool of torture rather than  thing that needs protecting. We are hoping for a downright villainous voice for this character. Good luck!

  • Time is my master, and I shall serve him well. For there are countless ways to end the lives of those whose time has come.

  • There are so many ways I could kill you it boggles the mind, its practically ridiculous in fact. Now I have the most joyous job in all the world...picking which one.

  • Fear not, the artificial beings know not of our power. For who would march against time itself if they knew the consequences? Or perhaps they simply do not fear being crushed under the gears of time? Shall we find out?
