My name is Kel, and I am currently an animation major creating my senior thesis film. I am looking for voice talent to play the main two characters in my animated short film.

The film is called "Prey Circle", and follows the story of two characters as they wait out a heavy rain atop a tall, ever-eroding tower of ruins. Finch (he/him) has convinced himself that the waters below them harbor an unknown dangerous creature, waiting to strike. On the other hand, Tian (they/them) is unbothered by the potential danger and is more concerned with their own boredom; being stuck stagnant atop the tower. The film has themes of fear, the importance of change, and focusing on what's real.

The film's duration is expected to be around 3 minutes in length, with an average of 9 lines per character in total, plus various reaction sound effects.

Audition Submission Deadline: 3/10/2025 @ 12am EST.

THIS PROJECT IS PAID. FLAT RATE: $10 per character.

Requirements:

  • High-quality mic

  • Comfortable voice acting in Mandarin Chinese (if auditioning for the role of Tian)

  • General English comprehension

  • Film Completion Delay

    Hi all,

    Just posting an update here to let you all know that the completion of "Prey Circle" will be postponed for the foreseeable future. I am currently dealing with college and financial strain, so while my goal is to have the film completed by September 2025, it may take even longer. I am animating it primarily alone, so it is difficult to predict how long it will take to complete.

    I appreciate everyone's patience and love for the project! I am as excited as ever to see it come to life. Thank you all for your support and understanding through this process!

  • Casting Call Finished!

    Hi all,

    Thank you so much for submitting, sharing, and favoriting my first project here on CCC! Hearing everyone's auditions and enthusiasm for my project has ignited me with a newfound passion for it. After careful deliberation, I've casted Luke Avon (@wizgamingxd) for the role of Finch, and Joyce Liu (@agateslink) for the role of Tian! The film should be released on various major platforms by June 2025. I'll update here with more info as production progresses!

A naive, easygoing and bubbly individual. They have a simple personality and exhibit childish tendencies. Despite this, their lack of fear gives them emotional stability. They act as a foil to Finch's paranoid and nervous nature by being a refreshing and fearless presence.
