Project Overview
Okay, you may be wondering, "What is Pokémon Adventures?"
Pokémon Adventures, also known as Pokémon Special or PokéSpe, is a manga series authored by Hidenori Kusaka. Unlike the anime—which, though drawing much inspiration from the games, does not follow them exactly—Pokémon Adventures is a mostly game-based manga, with the twenty-one main characters taking their names from the core series games and their various adventures tending to stay restricted to their home region. The Black and White chapter of the Pokéspe manga follows the adventures of Black, who is on a quest to become the Champion of the Pokémon League. He is joined by White, a young woman who owns the Pokémon acting company, the BW Agency, and aims to raise the best Pokémon actor. As they go through the Unova region they encounter the group Team Plasma, who aim to free Pokémon from Trainers, and the mysterious N.
Dubbing this Manga has been a dream of mine ever since I got back into the Fandom of PokéSpe. I first read it back when I was somewhere between 11 to 13, and I still love it. I recently reread it and it was just as good as I remembered. If you want to help make my dream come true, please audition! But before that, you should know a couple of things.
First of all, there are a handful of requirements!
-Please have decent microphone quality!
-Please have Discord, so we can discuss everything!
-You have to be at least 14.
-Being able to work in a team is very important. This is a long-term project, and I expect you to respect our Team.
-This should go without saying, but if you get cast, you need to be able to work with deadlines! This is very important!
-Knowledge of the Pokémon Adventures Manga isn't necessary but certainly appreciated... it's also a really good manga series, so you most definitely won't regret reading it!

Cilan is one of the Gym Leaders of Striaton City. He focuses on the grass type. He's the most neutral of his and his siblings; the triplet Gym Leaders of Striaton City. I have to re-cast him, seeing as our old Cilan VA started becoming more and more inactive and not responding to my DMs.
I imagine him having a soft, highish voice.
Hmm... That customer with the cap has been causing quite a bit of trouble for our patrons, hasn't he? Should we do something about him?
Ahh, he's made a reservation for a full-course service, huh? Then I suppose we'd better show him some hospitality! Let's hope he's done his homework and knows how to get past the "Appetizer".
Ah! You've noticed that we placed the Pokémon in this triple battle to our advantage, eh? Well, I'm afraid to tell you... you're not allowed to switch places during this triple battle!
Skyla is a Flying-type user and the Gym Leader of Mistralton City. Burgh describes her as an "all-or-nothing"- kinda girl; very energetic, takes things very seriously, and doesn't do anything half-heartedly. She's very caring for wild Pokémon and will do her best to save any that are injured.
I'm thinking she'll have a fairly high voice!
(It's her first time meeting Black. She asks him to ring the bell on top of the Celestial Tower.)
Black. Try ringing that bell, will you?
Hm... The sound of the skies... The sound of this bell calms the souls of deceased Pokémon. And... it reflects the soul of those, who ring it. I'm sorry, but... that sound wasn't completely pure.I'm sorry, Black. When I heard that a normal trainer will be joining us for this mission, I thought you had to be a trustworthy person, since Mr. Clay recognized you. But... If you had noticed that Pidove before me, or if the bell hadn't sounded impure... I wouldn't have to do this. Please win against me in a Pokémon battle before the mission.
(During her gym battle against Black)
Ooh! Despite Swoobat being in mid-air, your Pignite hit it without any trouble! You've trained a lot, huh? Oh, by the way, I'll let you outta the canon when we finish this battle. If you lose, I'll send ya back to Nuvema Town with it. Uhh... what direction was it in again? Wha? I'm not joking. If you lose, I'll make sure you start from square one.
(Proud, almost cocky.)
A flying type's greatest strength is their speed and mobility! I've trained those strengths to the fullest! What you're witnessing isn't just their inherent speed; it's something that came with a lot of hard work and training! I won't give you the chance to fight back!
Brycen is a former movie star who had to quit his career due to an injury. Now, he is Gym Leader specializing in Ice-types, who is located in Iccirus City.
He has a low voice and is very serious, blunt, and quiet. Try to reflect this in your acting.
(Fighting one of the Shadow Triad members, who tried to insult him based on his past.)
How pathetic. You expect your words to wound me? Try to insult me as you might, but people like you cannot see through my strategies so easily. This fight was over before it even started.
(Inner monologue)
Someone pretended to be me to trick the boy... and he fell for it. And the Dark Stone has been stolen, too. That means it's safe to presume that Zekrom has already assumed its dragon-form... I need to inform Drayden.
(The Light Stone rolls towards Black, choosing him as the person who will fight alongside the Dragon of Truth, Reshiram. Brycen sees this, picks him up and slings him over his shoulder as he finishes his conversation with Drayden.)
I trust you will take care of everything else, Drayden. Who knows what the future holds...? Only one thing is certain. After these events, I have no other choice but to put you through some intense, special training. It's gonna be rough. Prepare yourself... Hero.
Drayden is the 8th and strongest Gym Leader. He's a Dragon-type user and is located in Opelucid City. He's also Opelucid's mayor! He plays a major role in the end-game of the Manga, as he trains and motivates Black to become the Hero of Truth and fight alongside Reshiram.
He should have a very low and mayhaps kind of rough voice? I'll leave that last part up to you.
Hmm.. Despite hitting Gigalith with super effective attacks repeatedly, Emboar seems to have lost more health throughout the battle. I expected nothing less from the final match. What remarkable technique! While Emboar was hitting Gigalith with Hammer Arm and Brick Break, Gigalith was timing the attacks and attacking with small attacks to inflict damage. Black didn't even realize what was going on until now!
(Cheren and Black started their match in the Pokémon Leagues too early, but Drayden decides to allow it.)
No matter. They've already decided to start battling. If neither party objects, we can officially begin right now! Well then! Ladies and Gentlemen, the final match of the Pokémon League... starts now!
Another trainer that's qualified to enter the Pokémon League has just appeared! Meet the 32nd participant; Black! These 32 will participate in the tournament tomorrow! I wish all of you good luck! That's all for the opening ceremony.
Shauntal is a Ghost-type user and a member of the Elite 4. In the manga, she's a very energetic Novelist, though she gets shy when someone mentions her work.
She doesn't make too many appearances, but when she does, they're important.
As previously stated, she's very energetic, so you should be able to reflect that in your voice acting!

The petite, yet strong Pokémon looked up at its Trainer and saw the seeds of doubt take root as, together, they faced their toughest opponent yet. The Pokémon sounded a soft cry of reassurance. And thus, the battle began. This world doesn't exist just for you. And I'll tell you why-
(She notices that someone was on the train with her.)
Aaah! Were you listening to me the whole time?! I'm so ashamed!! I'm so sorry for making you listen to my rough draft! That.. was a novel I'm writing... B-but how was it?! Was it good?!
(Watching Thundurus and Tornadus, two incredibly powerful, legendary Pokémon, fight.)
Thunder and tornado... These phenomena symbolize their battle, huh?! Aaaah, it's just like a dream! Now then... As you've said, if this keeps going, then all of the crops and the subway will be destroyed. I have to warn those two! And since I can't beat them, catch them, nor drive them away... I'll summon their "Master"!

Caitlin is a Psychic-type Trainer and member of the Unova Elite Four. Alongside the other Elite Four members, she fights the Tornadus, Thundurus, and Landorus when Team Plasma attacks the league. She's very objective and goal-oriented.
I imagine her having a high, calm voice.
I don't know exactly where the kidnapped Gym Leaders are... all I know is that they're somewhere in Unova, thanks to Gothitelle's power. I used Gothitelle as a sort of antenna to tune into the Gym Leaders' consciousness. And I can transmit messages back and forth... H... E... L... P...
I have some business with that boy... with you, Black. Gothitelle is using her psychic powers to catch and transmit the brain waves of the captured Gym Leaders. They sadly don't seem to know where they are, but they wanted to talk to you, Black.
Technically speaking... Team Plasma's speeches aren't breaking any laws. We have no right to stop them from holding them. However, their kidnapping goes way too far. Their speeches may not be reason enough to stop them, but if nothing else, we have to take them down to save the Gym Leaders.
