Maya Bennett is one of the main protagonists in PARASITE FREQUENCY. She is an outsider who slowly becomes connected to strange broadcasts, disappearances, and the classified organization known as SIGNAL. Unlike the other characters, Maya begins as a normal person with no knowledge of anomalies or government conspiracies. Over time, she becomes one of the only people willing to question Daniel Cross and investigate what SIGNAL is hiding. Maya is intelligent, emotionally grounded, skeptical, and determined. She should sound believable and natural — like a real person thrown into an impossible situation.

She is one of the first professionals to notice that the issue is not isolated to content or individual devices, but is instead propagating through broadcast architecture itself. Claire’s role places her at the intersection of technical breakdown and institutional denial.
As SIGNAL spreads, Claire becomes responsible for identifying, reporting, and attempting to stabilize increasingly compromised transmission systems. She is often one of the earliest voices confirming that “normal failure” explanations no longer apply.
Unlike field investigators or civilians, Claire’s perspective is technical, urgent, and constrained by protocol—until those protocols stop working.

Marcus Reed is a surveillance and monitoring analyst working within the systems tracking SIGNAL-related anomalies across multiple feeds, camera networks, and broadcast channels.
He specializes in identifying movement patterns, cross-feed inconsistencies, and digital anomalies that suggest something is not remaining in a single location—or even a single system.
As SIGNAL activity increases, Marcus becomes one of the first operators to recognize that the entity is not confined to one system or one feed, but appears to be transitioning between them in ways that defy normal network behavior.
Unlike field agents or engineers, Marcus is constantly observing—but never physically interacting—forcing him to rely entirely on data that increasingly stops behaving logically.

Originally assigned to study the phenomenon through scientific observation and controlled experimentation, Hayes becomes increasingly disturbed as established theories fail to explain the behavior of SIGNAL and Entity-4719 / The Mimic.
Unlike technicians or surveillance analysts, Hayes approaches the phenomenon academically and methodically. He believes there is an underlying structure to the anomalies and spends much of the series attempting to classify, predict, and rationalize impossible events.
Over time, his confidence in logic and containment deteriorates as SIGNAL begins violating the very systems used to study it.

The role exists to communicate fear spreading through the organization itself. Their recordings often appear fragmented, corrupted, or recovered from incomplete transmission logs.
This character serves as the voice of personnel who were never meant to be heard publicly.
Their dialogue typically occurs:

Initially skeptical of supernatural interpretations, Noah attempts to explain SIGNAL through neurological and informational theory. However, as evidence accumulates, he begins realizing the anomaly may not simply affect systems or devices—it may alter the way reality is interpreted by the human mind itself.
Noah becomes one of the first researchers to openly suggest that SIGNAL is not invading systems.
