On The Sidewalk Bleeding - Animated Short -
Project Overview
This is a casting call for an animation I'm in the middle of making, which needs some voices right away. It is a short animation based on the short story of the same name. ( A story I'm certain a lot of people heard of from taking English in high school, but in case you don't know the story, here's a link to a copy of the story; http://mslock.weebly.com/uploads/5/9/3/9/59397655/on-the-sidewalk-bleeding.pdf )
I'm going to do the voices of some of the male character including the main character because it saves me sometimes of having to get a lot of actors (But obviously I can't do all the voices since I want this to actually be good.) The Storyboard will be done and turned in since the deadline for this project is Friday 16th, but I will continue to make this as full animations.
This project requires actors with high-quality microphones (or if you have a lower mic like a yeti or something hide in your closet or under a blanket to record) with audio recording as either Wav or Mp3, (I prefer Mp3 since my flash program is set to that but if you want to send in waves I'm fine with that as long as the quality is good either way.)
Payment for each role can only be made through Paypal. Each part all have the same rate of $20 (changed due to different situations)

Know that this project only needs at least completed storyboard for me to pass. Final Casting
As of now I will now be going over and choosing people for each role. Thank you to everyone who auditioned. I've heard many great auditions. Hopefully, for both the chosen and those not chosen, everyone will continue to follow this page for future updates and the final release. -
Casting Deadline Notice
So far I've heard many great auditions. And a good few who certainly brought much to their auditions (especially since I realized I probably should've given more details but honestly I think this is a better way to cast people.) Based on the many auditions I've heard so far. I narrowed own my choices for each of the characters. And will be taking another look at the people considered one more time around the deadline. Any auditions made after the deadline or during the decision-making process might not get looked at or considered. so anyone who thinking of auditioning or anyone who already audition is thinking of redos or whatever, do so as soon as possible. -
Not So Urgent Anymore, But Still Going
I've gotten great news that this project can be turned without all the voices or additional animations, just the storyboard itself. so I don't need to get voice actors. But that doesn't mean this animation won't still be worked on. This means I will be extending the deadline (next weeks on Saturday) and alterations to the pricing (from $15 plus $20 to just $20.) So Hopefully your all cool with this still have an interest in wanting to help.

Laura is a young woman who is dating the Andy of the story. In the original story, her personality is mostly non-existent due to the nature of the story. But think of her as a girl who can be pretty laid back sometimes, and really cares about Andy. She's roughly about 18-19 years of age.
Hey Andy (Andy slip passed her on his way out the house.) Andy, where are you going? (Andy explains he's getting some smokes and that he's gonna head out to meet an with the gang.) Okay then, you remember that we have a date tonight right? (Andy replied yes, and that he'll pick her up tonight.) Okay, I'll see you tonight. Stay safe Andy. (Andy says "love you, babe") Love you too, Sweetie.

A Police officer who appear with another officer at the end of the story to investigate an emergency call they got about a passed out person on the streets. Would prefer a deep voice for this guy, but try any voices and we'll see what sticks.
These groups and gangs... They're always making an unwanted mess.
(Looks at blood stained jacket with the word Royals on the back) A Royal, Huh! (Laura looks back at the officer and says Andy names.) Hmm! (Laura repeats his name again)

One-half of a couple who Andy comes across while looking for help. These two loves each other very much and were about to go out when they spotted Andy... for Guy's voice, I'm thinking kind of flamboyant or kind of masculine, but have that more youthful tone to him even tho he 20yo.
(Excited, but try to play it cool) Oh, Honey, I promise you this will be a spectacular night!
(Concerned) Oh no, I think he's hurt, We should help him... (turn Andy over to see the Royal logo on the back; looks shocked) ...out? (girlfriend is shocked and notice he's a royals) How long have you been like this, buddy? (Girlfriend wondered if a guardian is around.) Maybe. But it shouldn't be a problem to help out the poor guy, right?
(disappointed, and sympathetic. Whispering) I'm so sorry...

(notices Andy behind boyfriend) Oh my, why is that guy crawling over there? (Boyfriend goes to inspect Andy, then they see he's a member of the Royals) Oh, My God, He's a Royal! (Boyfriend shocked as well) You don't suppose there a Guardians around here as well, do you?!
