Hi there! my name is Kel, and I'm currently in my 4th and final year at Sheridan College's Bachelor of Animation program. I'm working on my thesis film, and looking for two talented voice actors for the characters in my film.
The film is titled, Of Tail and Feather, it's an Fantasy/ Action, 2D Animated film. Currently running at about 2 minutes and 5 seconds.
in summary, it's a film about a young. adventuring mouseling girl trying to complete the quest of returning an ancient, and mysterious amulet back to where it belongs. However, she is being pursued by a villainous rat and his minions that want to steal the amulet for their own personal gain. All while riding on top of their birds, flying high in the sky!
it's a very How to Train your Dragon/ Redwall/ Mouse Guard inspired film.
The amount of dialogue in this film is minimal, and I've never put out a call for voice actors before, but I'll try to be as accommodating as I can!
Hazel is a hot headed, daring, and slightly narcissistic mousefolk that craves adventure. Whether it be exploring a dungeon, slaying a monster, or transporting goods, she's always up for to the task.
With her trusty Vulture CInder, she has been able to perform daring tricks and maneuvers to always get away at the last minute. So when she was offered a job to transport a mysterious amulet, she confidently accepted.
" No complaining on the job! We have to get this artifact back where it belongs."
" C'mon, keep up! one day you might be a better flyer than me!...-snicker- well.. maybe not, but second best is better than last."
" HA! that old rat? I've been flying circles around him for years and he's never ONCE caught me! you'd think after a certain point he'd give up, but I think the ol' geezer has it out for me."
Thorn is an evil rat who is the leader of thieves who prey on the small and weak. always taking for himself and with his crew of mice minions, they leave only ruin and misery. He has caught wind that a ancient powerful artifact is being transported past his territory, and he MUST have it!
"Minions! prepare the birds for flight! Hurry up! that amulet is worth far more than all of you combined and I won't have it be taken from me, just because you lot won't pick up the pace! "
" -growls in frustration-....Curse you Hazel Willowtail! this isn't that last you'll see of me! "
"Finally....after all these years, the amulet is MINE! "
