Project Overview

Hello! I’m The Detour on YouTube.


Welcome to the casting call for the SiIvaGunner King For Another Day Tournament Mojo!! Dub.

  • NOTE: This casting call is not affiliated with SiIvaGunner or any of the franchises or people represented in the King for Another Day Tournament. This is simply a fun opportunity to give voice to a story like no other.

Additional Rules/Requirements:    


  • Good audio quality is required for auditioning.    

  • Auditioning for multiple characters is encouraged.    

  • Characters available for audition will follow in order of appearance on the Mojo.

  • References to source material of their voices will be provided alongside their audition lines.    

  • Some characters will not have a voice actor to match, or will only have a Japanese VA. In those cases, please listen to the source material provided, if any, and follow your heart to a voice you think fits the character.    

  • Some strong language will be present in the dialogue.    

  • This project will encompass all of the scenes on the Mojo (including K Day), as well as all of the VS and Victory lines for the tournament proper.

    Hey guys! We've gotten, A LOT, of auditions and a lot of them have been really great!

    ...BUT, a lot of them are for the same characters and there are some character getting no love at all.

  • That’s right, the earliest thing I remember before being brought to present day was getting ready to go out to pick up some groceries. There was a flash of white as I left my house, and then I woke up here in your time period.

  • It’s so wonderful seeing all these evolutions of musical styles from all the other contestants. I’m also surprised at how video game music has blossomed into its own community! I couldn’t imagine such straightforward and simple technology would have grown such a cult following. I guess Harry Hosono was really onto something after all.

  • Oh, I’m afraid that’s a misunderstanding! The viewership behind Plastic Love was none of my doing. I don’t think I’d have much fun controlling a platform like YouTube for my own popularity, anyways.

I got an invitation a bit after I announced that I was leaving The Voice, and of course with a background like mine, why wouldn’t I enter? I thought it was just going to be another quick and easy thing I could do between projects, but on my way here, I could see a giant orange robot in the distance near the hotel, and things have just gotten weirder and weirder since then. You two are prime examples of what I mean.

  • Things have been going well! The hotel bar stocks Kirin, which was a pleasant surprise. *laughs*

  • What do you mean, Meowth, Reimu’s in my pocket! It’s actually quite simple though: Gensokyo is separated by the Great Hakurei Barrier. There’s no way to guarantee that mail can be delivered there, unless it gets lost in transit, so unless you find some way to cross the Barrier, there’s no method to deliver an invitation. Even if that wasn’t the case though, this tournament is primarily focused on the musical aspect of the series, so even if someone like the Prismriver Sisters got invited, it might make more sense to have the music represented by the composer rather than a character.

  • I actually learned quite a bit of English before entering last year’s tournament; in the past, when I travelled outside of Japan, I usually brought a translator, but in the doujin spirit, I decided to take it upon myself to learn the language.

So when I was offered to go, I was hesitant at first, due to being really busy translating. However, they told me if I were to go, I would get “as much donuts as I pleased”, and so I packed my things and headed straight for the tournament!

  • It’s a curse, Reggie. That Yo-Kai has long-term effects, you know. I still see you dancing from time to time.

  • Back at Nintendo Japan, there is a safe that contains all kinds of weaponry, just in case of an emergency at the company. Lifting these Joy-Cons is not gifted to anyone, you have to be a chosen one. Someone who is so big in the company, that the soul of Nintendo itself lends you power. You have to train, work hard, and most importantly, have the power of Nintendo among you.
