Project Overview
What is this?
This is a professional quality fandub of Macross Delta episode 01. A space idol and mecha anime.
Does this anime already have an official English dub?
No. This series never received an English dub, and probably won't for some time if it ever does.
What are you using to make the FanDub?
Avid Pro Tools Ultimate 2018
Adobe Premiere Pro 2018
What are your qualifications?
I have a few awards from anime conventions for my video/audio editing and presentation
I am working along side HubbardAudio, a professional audio engineer who has assisted with the audio editing of professionally distributed films on Netflix
Where would this fandub be distributed?
This fandub is being show cased at Super Dimension Convention 2018 (Previously know as Macross Word Con) in front of a live audience. The crowd of which will be composed of staff members who assisted in the production of this anime (And have noted that they're excited to see this fandub). Everyone assisting with this fandub may request a copy for their own personal viewing, but it will not be distributed outside of the convention due to copyright reasons.
What is expected of the Voice Actors?
-Studio Quality Audio (XLR, No bounce, No hiss, etc)
-WAV format (Studio standard being 24bit 48,000hz)

-Discord, Skype, or some sort of IM would be amazing but not mandatory
-Please do not add any post audio work to your auditions. HubbardAudio will need to hear what your audio sounds like raw to discern if he can work with it.
How will the voice actors be credited / Payed?
Due to the copyright content of this fandub, I will not be paying voice actors. This is purely volunteer work if you'd like to see your voice appear in professional quality work. Voice actors will be credited at the beginning of the fandub using a name they feel comfortable with. Voice actors may also choose to remain anonymous
How will ADR be handled?
I will send casted voice actors edited video clips of every line when their characters speaks or makes a noise, with the script subbed at the bottom for VAs to follow. With the exception of the two main characters, most characters have less than 30 seconds of dialogue
Will you make more episodes past episode 1?
Unlikely, but not impossible.
My audition was rejected. Can I submit a redo?
Absolutely.

Rejections and Reauditions
Hello, Thank you to everyone lending me your talent for these auditions. In order to organize the large influx of auditions, I am now currently rejecting auditions which audio quality does not meet the project's standards. If you are rejected, you are more than welcome to submit a re audition with updated audio quality. Please note that I may be rejecting auditions with very expensive/pro level mics. This may be due to a number of reasons such as poor recording space, or post audio work (Please submit auditions RAW). Voice: Deeper alto. Sexy and coy
Mikumo Guynemer is mysterious, sexy, and god-like (And is later revealed to be a clone of an ethereal type of creature that the Universe’s lore says were the creators of Humans). She is the lead singer of the Tactical Sound unit known as Walkure, a defense force deployed by the government to quell violent uprising with their voices alone. She puts on a awe inspiring and sexy show when performing, but generally speaks down to others as if she knows she’s better than them when she is not performing.
(Slightly under her breath since she’s undercover/ Said slightly amused)

Voice: Young and Apathetic with very little emotion.
Reina Prower is known as the silent hacker. She very rarely speaks, but when she does, it's straight to the point and apathetic. The only time she seems to show emotion is when she's on stage and singing. She didn't use to like singing until her best friend, Makina Nakajima encouraged her too. Before she used to do hacking for the PMC Khaos, but now works for Walkure

Voice: Freyja has an energetic voice slightly higher range
Freyja Wion is a 14 year old alien known as a Windemerian. The only difference between humans and Windemerian is the Windemere only have half of a human's life span and have small pendant like appendages in their hair that glow and move in accordance with the Windemere's emotions (Freyja's is in the shape of a heart)
Despite her short life span, Freyja has a dream that she won't be hindered from and that is join the tactical sound unit known as Walkure and become a galaxy renowned idol. Freyja is energetic, innocent, and passionate about everything she does. Her dream comes from her want to stop the potential war between humans and Windemere through use of expressing herself with song.
IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT FREYJA
-In the Japanese dub, Freyja has a made up accent designed to make her sound like she's from the middle of no where (She claims her village is rural and specilizies in apple farming). This accent is optional, but if you'd like to try for a BELIEVABLE US Southern Accent, Canadian accent, or even your own made up accent AS A SECOND TAKE FROM YOUR NATURAL ACCENT, please feel free to do so.
- Freyja has a very distinct type of laughter which I have hyperlinked in the audition line. Ability to replicate this type of laughter is important as the character is known for it (Some characters describing it as creepy)
(Comedic ranting to someone who clearly isn't listening)
"The Mayor was all like “What are you doing with your life!? You're already 14 so why don't you go get married to that apple farm heir already!” So I was like “I ain gonna!” and he was all like “Oh, but you gotta!” So I took my chances and snuck away onto the first ship outta of the system! "(Excitedly explaining)
"HEEHEEHEE! Well! They just so happen to be holding auditions here on Ragna next week!"(Starts off soft, builds to end in yelling to the heavens)
"No... I'm not giving up.... I'll get myself to Ragna and I'm going to JOIN WALKURE!!!"

Voice: Medium to low, prim, proper and no-nonsense
Mirage Farina Jenius’ grandparents are Galaxy renowned, famous for helping end the first galactic war. Because of this, Mirage is overly conscious about every action she takes knowing it will reflect on her name and grandparent’s legacy. In an attempt to appear as impressive as her grandparents, Mirage is known for being 100% by the books, overly uptight and completely no-nonsense even if the situation doesn’t call for it. (She’s secretly made fun of by everyone because of it)
(Formally/Professionally as if addressing a superior)
“I am second lieutenant Mirage Farina Jenius of Khaos. Third Ragna combat team: Delta Flight!"(Frustrated as she receives dial tone)
“Mikumo answer your phone…! Mikumo! Ugh!...she always does this. "(Yelling out to alert the authorities and then infuriated/snarling at the one she’s restraining)
“I caught the stow away!...I could have you arrested for sexual harassment!”

Voice: Medium to low refined and intelligent
Kaname Buccaneer is the leader and founder of Walkure, but is outclassed in every way by Mikumo so many don’t realize she’s in charge. Kaname actually prefers it this way. She leads a double life as an idol and assistant to the higher echelons of the PMC she works for, which means she knows how to put on a show AND crunch numbers.

Makina Nakajima

Voice: High pitched, bubbly and playful
Makina Nakajima is all about cheer, giving people cute nicknames, and gushing over the latest technology which she loves to dabble in. Before Makina, Walkure was all business and no fun. Despite being a singing unit they were still considered a military attack force that was sent into war zones and they did their jobs like soldiers. When she joined, it was Makina that designed all of their outfits with cutting edge technology and brought the fun idol element to the stage.

Voice: Standard anime protagonist voice. Use your natural voice for Hayate
Hayate Immelman is a young man wandering the galaxy in search of purpose. At the start of episode one, he seems to have lost his reason for even searching and comes off as very stoic, uninterested, and for a lack of better word, depressed. He then meets a young stow away with a heart felt passion towards what Hayate feels is an unattainable goal. Yet when he explains to her how unrealistic it is, her passion does not waver, which gives Hayate a spark of inspiration he never thought he had.
(Consoling yet dismissive of a much larger issue. Offers them a snack so they feel better)
"Ah, well that's too bad. Guess you can give up that dream then. Here. Want another?"(Monotonously explaining with sadness just beneath the surface)
"I’ve been to many places and tried many things. But nothing ever felt right to me. I thought I could find something somewhere...but..."(Screaming in terror and desperation to someone he just saw nearly die)
"ARE YOU OKAY?! COME ON! WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

Voice: Soft and Taciturn
Keith Windermere is the illegitimate son of the King of Windermere, therefore non-eligible to succeed the throne which, instead, will go to his little and sickly half-brother, Heinz Windermere. Despite this, Keith is very fond of his little brother and is fiercely loyal to his king and Kingdom, which was recently attacked by United Government forces when the Kingdom refused annexation. Keith is now the squadron leader of the Windermerian Knights, the kingdom’s main defense force against outside forces which he leads in strike operations against the United Government in hopes of freeing forcefully annexed nations.
(Calmly, pre-battle Mantra)
“For the glory of the Great Wind”(Under his breath, in slight awe after seeing the emblem of a legendary Mercenary)
“...Grim Reaper”(Professionally after receiving orders to retreat from a battle they were winning)

Arad Mölders is the good natured commander of a newly formed but extremely skilled Private Military Company known as Khaos. Because most of the operations surrounding Khaos are difficult and sometimes dark in nature, Arad does his best to keep up a good mood and crack jokes when he can

Voice: Loud, booming, silly and/or obnoxious older brother type.
Chuck Mustang is the oldest of 5 and works two jobs: the first being the cook of his family owned restaurant with his 4 younger siblings and the other being a bodyguard for a well known Idol named Reina. Because Reina can come off as emotionless at times, Chuck tries his hardest to get her to open up or laugh, hoping to be something of an older brother for her as well.
(In an attempt to change the subject when noticing Reina being emotionless again)
“Later on, I’m planning on making Spicy Jellyfish Gyoza at the shop. You want any?”
(After receiving chastising order.. Starts happily, but then quickly switches to confusion)
“Hoorah, sir!...But are you sure there’s going to be a Var outbreak here?”
(Excited/confident/ yelling as he rushes in to be the hero)
“Leave this one to the MIGHTY MUSTANG! … SUBMARINE ATTACK!!!”

Voice: Intelligent (Maybe slightly nasally?) /taciturn
Roid is the king of Windermere's advisor and battle strategist of the Windemerian Knights (On top of being the secret big bad at the end of the series). He has known all of the Knights since they were children which causes them all to follow his orders without question. He uses this fact to manipulate everyone into being a pawn in his grand scheme outside of both the goals of the Windemere Kingdom and the United Government alike (Unintentionally uniting the two warring forces against him in the end)
(Pre-battle mantra as the Knights rush into fight)
“Now grab the wind and fly. To victory, my Aerial Knights.”(Thoughtfully/Scrutinizing having heard of the group before but only now witnessing them first hand)
“So this is Walkure…”(Giving Orders)
“White Knight. Operation Complete. Return to the den… We have all the information we need. That is an order”

Voice: Deep, wise, and slightly jaded
Hermann Kroos is the eldest member of the Windermerian Knights and is well respected by the younger knights under him. Despite no longer being the top warrior in the kingdom, he has a soft spot for all of the new knights who have joined after him, which he views as the children he never had.

Earnest Johnson is a colossal not-so-gentle giant, towering at 7’4”. He is the commander of a powerful private military and despite his intimidating appearance, most would be surprised to learn Ernest is actually quite friendly.
