Littlewood Dialogue Dubs

Project Overview


For those unfamiliar with Littlewood, it is a town-building game by Sean Young. It is similar to games such as Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, and Harvest Moon. The video above gives a good look a what Littlewood is like!


A major part of this game is the player’s relationships with the different Townsfolk. You can romance and eventually marry all of them (except for one), with special events such as dates and a wedding!


There are also special events between the different Townsfolk that explore the relationships between them. They are called "Special Moments" and are unlocked when specific Townsfolk reach certain levels.


Basically, I would like to “dub” these scenes and post them on YouTube. In specific, at this point in time I want to dub:

  • Dates
  • Special Moments
  • Post-Wedding Cutscenes

Important notes:

  1. When it comes to the range/accents/etc. I have written down for each character, they are only recommendations! Do whatever you think fits!

  2. If you aren't comfortable with (SFW) romantic dialogue AT ALL, then this project is not for you.

  3. At this point, the amount of lines/scenes I want to dub is quite small, but may expand as the game grows, and if I want to dub more than the things previously mentioned.

  4. Be aware that audition lines and any lines if casted will contain “spoilers” for major parts of the game.

  5. Currently, the deadline is Thursday, Feburary 4th, of 2021. However, the deadline may be extended. I also may add a handful of very minor characters,.

  6. Of course, for the dialogue in the audition lines, there are placeholder names of "Player" and "Your Town", as I'm not sure what the names will be in the final product.

  7. This is an unpaid project and I do not plan on paying in the future. This project is simply for fun!

  8. I will be voicing Laura, so she will not be on this casting call.

Requirements:

  1. I am looking for higher quality audio. I require minimal/no background noise/static/peaking/etc. I can offer a lot of advice for making your audio sound much cleaner if you are having any trouble.

  2. Be AT LEAST 13+. However, I do prefer voice actors to be 18 or older. But really, age has no bearing on your chances of being cast (aside from being under 13), as long as your voice fits the character.

  3. I prefer to communicate through Discord, so please leave your Discord with your audition so I can get in touch with you. However, if you cannot use Discord, we can figure something out. 

  4. Please do not slate your auditions (meaning, saying your name or any other information before the actual audition), and please do no more than three takes per line. I personally prefer two, but do whatever works for you!

It takes quite a bit of time to go through every romance option in the game, so I think it would be nice to make these moments easily accessible for anyone who wants to watch them. And anyways, it’s more fun to get to hear them voiced! Littlewood is a favorite game of mine, so I'm very excited to help bring it to life, at least a little bit!

    Hello everyone! As casting commences shortly, I want to say: amazing job to all of you who auditioned! I can’t stress enough that I was impressed by every audition that was submitted. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting this many people to audition in the first place! Trust me, getting this final cast together is going to be TOUGH!   • Looking for more auditions for certain roles!

    Hello all! I hope you don't mind ANOTHER update! This one in particular is just to address a current lack of auditions on a handful of roles. Don't get me wrong, just because I listed a character you auditioned for DOES NOT mean I didn't like your take/you won't potentially get cast in the future! Trust me, you guys ROCK! I would just love to hear just a bit more for these characters. These characters (with brief descriptions for easy reference) are: Dudley - Male, mid-low, looking for a friendly, grandfather-ly voice! Notes: I imagine Arpeggio having a more flamboyant sort of voice. He is very dramatic.

  • (Playful, confident) - “Hah! Second place!? That spot is most certainly for you, Bubsy! Anyone in "Your Town" knows that I, the great Arpeggio, is the one with the greatest fashion sense!”

Notes: Bubsy would also have a somewhat flamboyant voice, while also sounding somewhat elegant and stuck-up.

  • Line 2: (Screaming, in shock) - “AaaAAaaAahhhHHhhhHH!!!! MY PRECIOUS FEATHERS!!!”

  • Line 3: (Confident) - “Then prepare yourself for the greatest battle of your life. I will not hold back with my BOLD and BEAUTIFUL fashion statements.”

  • (Aggressive, ready to fight) - “DRAW YOUR SWORD, DARK WIZARD! Wait, let me go grab my heroic daggers first!”

  • (Making awkward small talk, then drops the act) - “The weather sure is nice today. ... Wow, there are a lot of merchants here. … Do you like buildings? I like buildings. The ones here look cool. … Blah… I’m sorry. I’m super nervous. I mean, I’m going on a date with the Hero of Solemn!”

Range: Low

Notes: Dark is a serious, brooding person. His voice should be deeper and have a calm, smooth tone to it.


  • (Defensive, pleading slightly) - “Please, let me prove myself. "Player" was kind enough to let me stay here. Together, we're going to solve the mystery of our pasts.”

  • (Determined) - “I must make a promise to myself and to Solemn… Right now! One day… we will venture to The World Below. "Player" and I! ...And we will destroy the source of darkness ONCE AND FOR ALL! Saving not only Solemn - but ALL of the floating continents!”

  • (Sincere, romantic) - “You have given me a chance to prove myself to Solemn - that I am not the dark being that nearly destroyed us. "Player"... I really appreciate your kindness and for believing in me.”

Range: Mid-low

Notes: Dudley is a friendly old man, and his voice needs to show his age.

Since he is not a romance option in the game, there will be significantly less lines to read, since there will be no dates or wedding.


  • (Optimistic) - “Okay, here we go. Come on Dudley, you're never too old to try new things!”

  • (Sincere) - “Life can be a hard journey sometimes, and it always helps to have friends to talk to.”

  • (Friendly, contemplative) - “Hah! Well it makes me feel better knowing I'm not the oldest around here. It's a shame I don't look as young as a Catfolk on his 9th life, though. I am just grateful that all of the paths I took led me here.”

Character description: “Iris was a Queen who left her royal life behind to search for a simpler one. She loves getting her hands dirty and learning new things. Happiness to her is living a simple life, free of heavy burdens.”

Range: Mid to mid-high

Notes: Iris is from a foreign land, so I imagine her having a slight accent. No accent in particular, just a slight one so her voice stands out as not being from the area. Since she used to be queen, I also imagine her having a slightly regal sounding voice.


  •  (Confident) - “Not many know this, but... I am very proficient with a blade. None of my guards ever defeated me in a duel. But I must warn you... I can get very competitive!”

  • (A bit melancholic, then confident and happy) - “I was under a lot of pressure from everyone around me. I didn't feel like a queen, but more of a pawn in someone else's story. So I left. I decided to find happiness and do things my way!”

  • (Romantic) - “Ever since moving to "Your Town", I knew there was something special between us! A hero and a former queen… Falling in love!”

Character description: “Lilith is an aspiring Mage who can't control her magic. Despite her efforts, she always ends up doing more harm than good. She thinks that you can only be happy if you follow your dreams.”

Range: Mid-low to mid-high

Notes: The range for Lilith’s voice is flexible in my eyes. I think, as long as it is centered around a more mid range, go for it! It is important to note that her character does have angry outbursts, so be prepared to yell in anger.


  • (Lonely, melancholic) - “Sigh… Every time I eat at the tavern, people avoid sitting next to me. Do people not like me? Is… something wrong with me?! Maybe… people are afraid of me.”

  • (Enraged) - “CHOOSE YOUR NEXT WORDS CAREFULLY, PATHETIC MORTAL.”

  • (Flirty, then sincere, then surprised) - “I must admit, you caught my attention the moment I met you at the Endless Forest. You’ve been so nice to me. And you even let me stay in your town! Wait… Do you like me or something?!”

Range: Mid

Notes: Maximilian is a very poetic person (literally writing poems for the character), so reciting poetry needs to sound natural. He should also sound confident.


  • Max: (Informative, instructing) - “Okay, so here are the rules. Tarott Monster is a fun card game in which two players battle monsters. Each player starts with a deck of 10 Tarott Monster cards.”

    Terric: (Worried) - “Now wait just one minute. Are these monsters still dangerous?” (Obviously, do not read Terric's line)

    Max: (Taken aback, somewhat annoyed) - What? No... They are cards. The monsters turned into cards, and you can battle them with other people. It's completely safe.”

  • (Poetic, sincere) - “Let's see... ... Here you go! "Your eyebrows are fluffy. Swirly feathers upon your head make you look like a green ice cream cone."

  • (Friendly, then awkward realization) - “Hey Arpeggio. We were just discussing our favorite bard bands. Wait a sec, aren't you a bard?”

Notes: I picture her to have a high, soft, and sweet voice. It should reflect her sensitive, creative, and friendly personality.


  • (Excited) - “Oh! I like the color blue. I bet Water Tarott Monsters are blue.”

  • (Intrigued, inspired) - “What does this "Arcana" look like? I am always looking for new designs for my paintings and sculptures!”

  • (Sympathetic, understanding) - “Really? Well I know how that feels... Being pressured. Everyone else in my family is super successful. And... They wanted me to be ANYTHING but an artist. But... Making art and decorations is my passion!”

Character description: “Toby is a quirky Catfolk on his 9th life who loves eating fish, playing in the sand, and licking things. He believes that happiness is doing what you want - when you want to do it!”

Range: Mid

Notes: Being a Catfolk, I picture his voice being kind of similar to the Khajiit from the Elder Scrolls games (I mean, he even makes Khajiit references!). However, I wouldn’t picture his accent being as heavy.

Toby also makes cat noises, like meows and purrs, and sometimes incorporates it into his speech, so be prepared for that.


  • (Relaxed, peaceful) - “Ahh... A purrRrRfect day to relax here in "Your Town".”

  • (Alarmed) - “Huh!? Um... You know I am a Catfolk, not just a regular cat, right?”

  • (Questioning) - “You do lick yourself every day, right?”

  • (Playful, yet informative) - “Whirlybugs sometimes kiss their riders to show appreciation. It's just in their nature to show a lot of affection. Perhaps you can learn a few things from them, Dalton.”

  • (Tearing up, emotional) - “I was so worried, "Player". We couldn’t find you after the Dark Wizard was defeated. And I… I thought you were gone forever!”

  • (Romantic) - “Before you defeated the Dark Wizard… We kissed! I don’t know what you were feeling at the time, but… I might still have feelings for you, "Player".”

Range: Low

Notes: Being a half-orc, I imagine her having a deep, somewhat gravelly or gruff voice. Basically, what you’d picture and orc to sound like.


Edit: If you are male and would like to audition for this role, please do! I feel that a lot of female VAs may not be comfortable in the range I'm looking for, while some male VAs can.

  • (Honest) - “I must admit I was a little scared of your powers before. But... I too have been seen as a monster. I don't easily fit in.”

  • (Instructing) - “Here, I'll hold my arms out like this… Both of you grab an arm. Whoever pushes my arm down first is officially the strongest!”

  • (Romantic and eager, then worried) - “Hmmm… Or maybe we should create our own rituals! Just for us! ... Hey "Player", I’m not moving too fast, right?”

Notes: This role is very small, so far only showing up in one "Special Moment". When you first meet Zana, she is being harassed by him, resulting in her knocking him out. He eventually tries to make amends with her (the focus of the one scene he is in). I imagine him having a scuzzy-sounding voice with some sort of New York or New Jersey accent.

Range: Low

  • (Awkward) - Oh! Er...Howdy, Zana!

  • (Awkward, somewhat apologetic) - So...Uh… I'd love to learn more about yer uh...Experiences as an Orcfolk.
