Project Overview
OVERVIEW
"Little Jimmy's Soup Dilemma" is an online web short that stars a boy who is named "Little Jimmy." The short itself is intended to be a very dark comedy. Similar to the likes of "Ren and Stimpy" and other adult oriented cartoons. As well as other pieces of media.
The short itself follows Little Jimmy, who is given Chicken Soup for dinner, much to his disliking. His angry father Billy believes in physical abuse and discipline. Little Jimmy's hesitance to finish his chicken soup sets him over the edge.
CHARACTERS
LITTLE JIMMY: Little Jimmy is of course, a ridiculous character who embodies a little boy. Meaning his performance should be somewhat exaggerated and have a "child" like sounding tone. He is very happy and optimistic for the most part, however, once he knows he's ticked off his father, his personality immediately shrinks to a more frightened, poor soul.
DEADBEAT DAD: The title of the character obviously implies that this person is a father. This father is not the best authoritative figure in the world. In fact, he's actually quite problematic. He's a very mean, grumpy, abusive, violent, insane character. His voice is very gruff, mean-sounding, and prone to yelling and screaming very loudly in a scary and violent manner.
SAD MOTHER: This character is a wife to an abusive father and angry husband, and the mother of an abuse victim (a little boy). She tries to laugh off her problems and not acknowledge that she has made the wrong decisions in her life. Her voice always has a hint of sadness and pitifulness. Very obedient. You are essentially playing an abuse victim. Since the short is meant to be a comedy however, try to over exaggerate some of these traits to the point where it can be seen in a comedic, satirical light.
CASTING AND CONTACT
Leave your audition with the best possible performance you can deliver. Once i hear an audition i am impressed with, i will contact you asking for your e-mail, discord, etc. Or i will simply reply to your audition and alert you that i shall me messaging you soon (if your contact info is left with your audition)
Eventually, i will send you the script via e-mail or discord with a deadline of three days ahead. If you're able to get the finalized lines done at a quicker time, that is also great. I could always send you future scripts for other projects, or even a potential sequel to this short.

WHAT VOICE I'M LOOKING FOR
Little Jimmy is of course, a ridiculous character who embodies a little boy. Meaning his performance should be somewhat exaggerated and have a "child" like sounding tone. He is very happy and optimistic for the most part, however, once he knows he's ticked off his father, his personality immediately shrinks to a more frightened, poor soul. To clarify, i am not looking for an actual child to voice this character. There is heavy material within the script. No NSFW material, however the script includes swearing and violence. It would be preferred for either a male to put on the voice of a kid, or a female actresses to put on the voice of a kid.

you Daddy?(Disappointed) Awww.. Mommy.. Chicken soup?
(holding back tears) Okay daddy.. i-i'm eating the soup.. (cries) See?
