KIZNAIVER Trailer Fandub
Project Overview
Hello there! I am looking for some talents to help create a high-quality fandub of the trailer for the 2016 animated masterpiece Kiznaiver.
Chances are you haven't watched this show. And that's okay! This is one of my favorite shows from the past couple years and I have finally decided to fandub it, with the help of some lovely people I will be selecting from this casting call! I have done my very best to apply basic explanations for each of the unique characters in this bright cast, with no spoilers. I am looking for voices that will suit each character, and not necessarily copies of the Japanese or official English Dub voices. This final product will be uploaded to YouTube in full on my personal channel. Just a couple base rules before applying:
- Decent microphone quality: At the minimum, minimal background noise or echo; USB and XLR mics are preferred, however any other type qualifies if it can be made to sound presentable enough. Also please keep mouth clicks or other undesirable sounds to a minimum.
- Deadlines: I will not accept auditions after the deadline, and if cast for the project, lines must be turned in promptly after a given deadline, with ample communication if one cannot meet the assigned date.
- Directions: Please read the character description before auditioning to make sure you have a basic understanding of the character, and follow the vocal directions for each line when auditioning.
- Takes: Two to three takes per line please, with variation in either the voice itself, or presentation of the line!
- Please leave a method of contact along with your audition; preferably, leave a discord tag or other social media I may contact you with, as that will be most accessible for a simpler project such as this.
No knowledge of the show is required before auditioning! As long as you can follow the descriptions given for a character, you have just as great of a shot as any of making the cut. Noriko is a cool, mysterious girl who is in charge of bringing together the Kiznaivers and conducting the Kizna System experiment. Not much is known about her for the majority of the series.
In terms of her voice, she is narrating the majority of the trailer, with a calm, soothing voice in the mid-range.

(melancholy) "If we were able to know and share other people’s pain and suffering as our own, fighting would not occur... However, there are limits to a person’s imagination."
(stating) "From today, you are all Kiznaivers. (pronounced, keez-nye-verz)"
Katsuhira Agata is known as "Imbecile" within the Kizna experiment.
Katsuhira is a rather emotionless and submissive boy on a mission to regain his sense of pain. He is shown to be amicable and logical, and relatively quick to make well-thought, important decisions.
He has a soft, mid-range voice partially devoid of emotion.

(thoughtfully) "I've been remembering something a lot lately. Something telling me to 'get back my pain'."
(confused) "I could be wrong about this, but are you saying really mean things about me suddenly?"
(disappointed) "Nice timing."
Chidori Takashiro is known as "Do-Gooder" within the Kizna experiment.
Chidori is initially portrayed as clumsy, emotional, and seemingly nosy at times. She seems to sincerely care about all of the other Kiznaivers, especially Katsuhira, her childhood friend, and tries to cheer them up when they're upset.
She has a mid-range, expressive voice, which can demonstrate extreme emotion or passion at times.

(concerned) "So you do have some darkness locked inside your heart."
(disapproving) "You're sent money every month, right? That's really important!"
Tsuguhito Yuta is known as "Cunning Normal" within the Kizna experiment.
A bit of an opportunist and a lady's man in the classroom, Yuta places great emphasis on his own appearance and prefers the company of similarly attractive people, acknowledging these facts even, yet at the same time is shown in several instances to be able to look past people's superficial features; as a result of this, he can be surprisingly intuitive at times.
He has a smooth, mid to low-range voice, generally polite, succinct, and curt.

(casual, bright) "I guess I'll go home and take a shower...and then, if the situation doesn't change for the better, we can all talk..."
(dangerous, dark) "Sorry, but could you not cause a ruckus?"
Honoka Maki is known as "High-and-Mighty" within the Kizna experiment.
Maki is a mysterious and studious introvert, and describes herself as having a “terrible personality”. She looks down on the rest of the Kiznaivers and refuses to consider them friends, even after going through several hardships. She has a dark secret from her past that she refuses to tell anyone.
She has a polished, lower-pitched voice with a general tone of pride and maturity.

(in response to being asked to karaoke) "No thanks. I think I'd catch various things just by being around you people, so I'd rather not."
(casual) "I dislike this sort of absurdity."
Yoshiharu Hisomu is known as "Immoral" within the Kizna experiment.
Besides being a total masochist, not much is known about Hisomu in general, and he is considered an enigma by everyone. Although he seems benign and spends most of his time smiling innocently, he is capable of being blunt or ruthless with his words, which unnerves the other Kiznaivers.
Hisomu has a calm, mature, mysterious voice with a general tone of wisdom and calculation.

(amused) "I personally don't believe connections are made so easily."
(genuine, innocent) "Could you die right now for me?"
(cunning) "I think...I've found it."
Nico Niyama is known as "Screwloose" within the Kizna experiment.
Nico appears to be a generally eccentric, animated, and childish girl. She has a unique sense of style, and she seems to want desperately to stand out. She tends to overreact or be very dramatic when experiencing new things, and presents herself in a very feminine manner. Despite all this, she proves to be rather perceptive and intelligent.
She has a high-pitched, childish voice with a great amount of enthusiasm. However, note that she is a teenager, despite looking young, so please avoid too much of a baby-like demeanor.

(genuinely apologetic, then playful) "S-Sorry. Nico doesn't understand."
(unconcentrated, rambling) "You guys are all background characters in Nico's dream and..."
