I got busy after the 30th so I had to divert my attention from this for a bit. But the last 2 roles have been cast. Thank you all for auditioning!
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: 4th Another Day Audio Book.
Project Overview
I was intending this just to be done by me, in the style of other audio books. But I accidentally created this project cause the format changed,and I wasn't able to delete it. So might as well use it for something. Plus I essentially changed my mind on that idea anyway.
"JJBA: 4th Another Day" or "The Book." As it's also called, is a light novel set after the events of Part 4 of the series "Diamond Is Unbreakable", but prior to Part 5 of the series "Vento Aureo" or "Golden Wind."
Another murder has occurred in Morioh Cho, and the circumstances of it aren't, normal. This leads it's discoverers, Koichi Hirose and Rohan Kishibe, to suspect there might be another Stand User going around, in search of blood. This investigation will require once again the efforts of Josuke Higashikata, Okuyasu Nijimura, and Yukako Yamagishi. As they, with Koichi and Rohan, rush to solve this mystery, before anymore lives are taken.
This story is told through the perspective of 4 leads.
Koichi Hirose: As he and his friends try desperately to figure out everything they can in this investigation.
Takuma Hasumi: A quiet and mysterious boy, with a photographic memory. Sometimes to his own detriment.
Chiho Futaba: A young girl who remembers being saved by a boy with a knife, from a thug. And becomes infatuated with Takuma, as she's certain he's the boy who saved her all those years ago.
Akari Hiari: A young woman who lived in Morioh cho during its developmental phase in the 80s. And finds herself trapped between 2 buildings, unable to free herself, or get help. Due to a stand called, "Memory Of Jet."
Through these 4, a dark story will be told, about a terrible event, spun from greed. Effecting the lives of those who weren't even around yet to be a part of it. And the journey of revenge taken, that could be considered, possibly even darker then the event that fueled it.
The Audio Book will go Chapter by chapter. So there's no real combining of chapters as I might do usually for other projects. Any questions you have, please feel free to leave below!

Okuyasu Nijimura has been cast to SpookyBeef, so he will not be present here. And Tonio Trussardi / male extras will be covered by me, as their appearances are very minor.

Koichi Hirose is a highschool boy, he's usually reserved and quiet. But after stand users began popping up in his town, with his too getting one. Koichi becomes a headstrong individual who's willing put himself on the line in dangerous situations. Despite that, he is still a bit reserved and quiet. Koichi's stand's called Echoes, it has 3 forms. Act 1 lets him create noises. Act 2 let's him use the property of that noise. And Act 3, allows him to control the weight of words, letting him immobilize people by making a specific part of their body incredibly heavy.
For Koichi, I'm looking for a light medium to high voice. Koichi's voice sounds very pre puberty, and he can scream really high. I'm looking for something along the games or anime version of his voice. I'll accept dub auditions as well. Just so long as it fits his character.

Takuma Hasumi is cold. He shows little to no emotion when speaking usually. Always sounding neutral. But he is calculating and a genius. And his photographic memory makes him formidable.
For Takuma, something medium high. You can do whatever you want with him. Just try to keep to the specifications. He's not someone who will start laughing evilly.

...It's quite bizarre, though. Destruction and regeneration? It must be quite an unsteady balance, possessing both. Is it because of your personality? Maybe your spirit has a bit of a divide to it? I've heard some rumors. You're normally a pretty gentle guy, but when something pisses you off, you do a real 180.*Calculating*
Next time it'll be the traffic accident memory. Every bone in your body is going to break up here on this roof. Just imagine what injuries like that would be like on top of the ones you've got now. There'll be no coming back from that.

Akari Hirai is a young woman who grew up in a farm, during the time before Morioh started growing. Once it started to, she moved into the town, with dreams of living bigger then her old life. She soon becomes romantically involved with a coworker who is quite charming, and earns quite a bit in the company. Everything changes though once a woman calls her, informing her that lover is in fact sabotaging buildings throughout Morioh for financial gain. When she comes to roof of her work to confront him. She is pushed off and trapped between 2 buildings. She cannot call for help, as no one can hear her voice. And she can't get out as both exits are shut off to her. Her former lover Teruhiko promises her he'll release her. If she tells him where she's hidden his money from the sabotaging. But she believes that he's lying.
Akari will not give up though, she is determined to find a way out of this space. And better her life.
I have no real idea of Hirai's voice, other then it's medium high, and that she's tough yet vulnerable. She feels doomed at times, reflecting on her past mistakes. But is given small hopes to keep her going!

Chiho is a kind hearted, and shy person. She's an aspiring author, trying to create a story with a happy ending. She's afraid of punks or people who look like punks, as she was almost attacked by one as a child. She's in love with Takuma Hasumi, as she's certain he's the boy who saved her from said punk all those years ago. She has no stand and is completely unaware of everything going around her. Until it's revealed right to her.
I'm looking for a quiet, soft kind of voice for Chiho. Very nervous. Again she's a character you can do what ever with for their voice, so long as it 's to the personality.

Josuke looks like a thug, but is actually a chill guy. Though if you insult his hair, he'll lose his temper and lash out at you. Like I mean get pissed beyond pissed.
Josuke's kind of just himself in the novel. Biggest thing though, is that here he longs to meet the man that saved him when he a kid.
For his voice. I'm looking for something around his anime voice, either english or japanese. Not too deep but not too high. I want to avoid a punkish sounding voice, as I feel that goes against his character.
If you have your own interpretation though, I'll gladly hear it!

Riley Maness
Teruhiko Ogami is a patient, and greedy man. He's willing to compromise the stability of tons of buildings throughout the developing Morioh. Just for money. And hold a woman hostage for it as well. He is cold and cruel. But he tries to act charming.
There's 2 versions of him, one in the 80s where he's a young man. And another in the year 2000, where he's middle aged. So you can make him sound just a bit older if you want, but you don't have to.
I'm looking for a medium to medium deep voice. He's intimidating, but he's also an average person you'd find in an office building. You can again do what you want with his voice, just so long as it follows his personality.

So for someone as inexperienced as you, it's only natural to be having so much worrying over your last scene. Just a suggestion, but how about this? For the end, how about only the heroine girl survives? And the man she's up against dies.

Yukako Yamagishi is the girlfriend of Koichi. She will try to kill people. She does not hesitate to even consider attempting to take someones life, or injure them, if it's for her own gain or her boyfriend. But Koichi stops her of course. She's a bit of a psycho, but Koichi helps her grow out of that. It of course having some remnants in her personality. She can be vicious and cold. Not bitchy, but she can flip on a dime from being nice to at your throat. She loves Koichi with a passion and will try to help however she can.....However.
For her I'm looking for a voice that can reach high and low levels. Like she'll mostly be medium, but because of her shifting personality, she can sound really high like an average anime school girl, to low, like a toughened solider. I'll accept stuff like her past incarnations, but also any original takes. I am not looking for a "Mean Girls" tone, I don't imagine that'll show up. I just say it due to worry of the description giving off that vibe.

Yeah, Futaba Chiho. I've seen him doing stuff with that girl a lot. I'm guessing they're going out. It's like they go to the library almost every day on their way home from school.

Rohan Kishibe is a mangaka of a popular Shonen Jump series "Pink Dark Boy." Rohan has the ability to read people like a book. With this ability he can read everyone's history and thoughts. He can also write inside the pages of these people, and make it so they can't hurt him, or various other things. Unlike his previous investigation when his manga was on hiatus due to injuries. Rohan isn't as active as active here. He still helps out, when and how he can. But for most of the novel, he's to the sidelines.
Rohan is very self centered and snobby. He does have compassion, but he usually holds himself to high authority. He is good friends with Koichi and very much dislikes Josuke. He talks rather plainly sometimes, not understanding social queues. This leads him to say things that he probably shouldn't, as it can be inconsiderate.
For Rohan's voice, I am looking for a medium high voice. as well as rather eccentric. Something like his japanese voices sort of. But not the english dub, this isn't due to all the talk around Vic Mignogna, I just personally am not a fan of his voice for the character. Again if you have your own take, do try!

Look at his paw pads. They're dirty with ink. I heard noise going on in my work room and when I went to investigate my desk had been made a mess of. Ink bottles were overturned and pen nibs and writing materials were strewn all over. I had opened a window to get some air; I shouldn't have done that. I found a manuscript I had been drawing stamped with what looked like the paw prints of a cat. So as it would seem, this little guy is the culprit.
I've finished everything from the story to the exact spoken lines. All that's left is to draw it all into manuscripts.

Hanae is a woman who was murdered mysteriously, for her involvement in the event that occurred in the 80s. Her pet cat escapes her house sometime after she has bled to death. Getting the attention of Koichi and Rohan, starting the investigation.
She's an eccentric woman, and also rather greedy. But she has some compassion. Not being happy about her involvement in the event. But regardless, she still partakes for the sake of money.
I don't have a specific voice in mind for Nanae, just that she sounds a little snobby. Not cartoonishly , just enough where you could feel like she's untrustworthy or a little slimy. So free reign here!!
