Project Overview
Project Title: JESSE
Synopsis: After the sudden death of his grandfather and mentor, Jesse, a talented young guitarist, descends into a self-destructive spiral of MDMA addiction and grief. Set in the gritty, neon-lit atmosphere of "The Ruin" bar, the story follows his struggle to face his demons while a concerned bartender and a mysterious stranger try to pull him back from the edge. A raw and emotional exploration of loss, addiction, and the fragile hope of recovery.
Tone & Style: Grounded, gritty, and deeply emotional. Think Manchester by the Sea meets Sound of Metal. We are looking for authentic, nuanced performances that can convey heavy subtext through voice alone.
Key Project Details:
Total Budget: €50 (Split into €12.50 flat fee per role).
Target: International Film Festivals (2026/27 circuit).
Rights: Payment includes a Full Buyout for perpetual, worldwide use in all media (Festivals, Online, Promotional).
Workflow: Selected actors will be asked to sign a digital release form before final payment.

Male, early 20s. A broken musician struggling with MDMA/alcohol addiction and the death of his grandfather. Voice should be raspy, tired, and emotionally unstable. He goes from ironic detachment to absolute desperation.

Male, 40s-50s. A mature, observant man who has seen the dark side of the "rockstar life". He is blunt but acts as a mirror for Jesse. Voice should be deep, gravelly, and authoritative but empathetic.

Male, 20s. The bartender at "The Ruin" and Jesse’s only remaining support system. He is exhausted by Jesse’s behavior but cares deeply. Voice should be grounded, warm, and projecting.

Male, 60s-70s. Jesse's late grandfather. Appears in voice-overs and visions. He represents Jesse's moral compass and the love he lost. Voice must be kind, grandfatherly, and soothing, but tinged with sadness.
