Project Overview
Greetings! I'm Zeke, AKA c0rruptzie and this SPECIAL casting call is for my upcoming indie animated series called Roses Beneath! A grim fairytale in the magical world of Everfall, a mixture with psychological thrills and heartfelt storytelling, among a cast of survivors as they put their hands together to fight for a better future of their world. This project has been in the works for over 5 years, and now is time for ROUND 3 (the grand finale, if you will, at least for a very long time but-if-anything-comes-up-we'll-let-you-know). We are looking for one male voice actor who has what it takes to voice our main antagonist, GOLIATH. Artist positions are also available, but let's get on with the main part of the show~.

PROJECT SUMMARY:
A tale encircling the fear of humanity, mortality, and the unknown. A group of individuals are the sole survivors of a great disaster that occurred within mere moments of the past. The extinction of the human race brought permanent abandonment, isolation, and fear. Now residing in the decaying ghost town Witherhill, they discover it holds the true secret to keeping humanity alive. However… within the withered chambers lies something much more sinister hiding in plain sight. Forced to band together, the Roselinqs wield amulets of unmatched power as they must work together to uncover the dark prophecy. Our survivors must preserve what is left of Everfall and prepare for a new beginning to arise; If they are not careful, their last chance to restore their world will slip away from the grasp of their fingertips. Time is running out, as the garden awaits their beck and call…
Roses Beneath is a dark fantasy psychological thriller series, told within several mediums of art. It is a drama including the format of animatics, sprites, artistic cutscenes, and uniquely tragic visuals. The series will be exclusively available to c0rruptzie’s YouTube channel, as updates for the project will be brought to you on the official Twitter account @TheRosesBeneath.
WHAT WE NEED:
Roses Beneath needs the help of 1 Male/Masculine Leaning Lead VA for Goliath, alongside more artist positions. Illustrators/Character/Concept Artists, Storyboarders, Rough and Cleanup Animators, Background Artists, Sound Designers/Mixers and Musicians are welcome to apply!
REQUIREMENTS:
-FOR GOLIATH AUDITIONS: MUST BE 18+ TO AUDITION, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR FITTING VOICE AGE-RANGE.
-FOR ALL OTHER MEMBER SUBMISSIONS: MUST BE 15+. ANY YOUNGER WILL BE REJECTED.

IMPORTANT INFO AND DEADLINE:
The development for this project will be done through Discord and is nonpaid! It is a passion project solely done within people's free time and whenever they wish to work, but we appreciate only those who are willing to commit! We require you to have Discord to participate in the development, but please provide other means of contact via other social medias so I can contact you if you got the part!
The script for the Prologue is currently in development and our main prioirty as we get people ready to start moving! By joining our team, you'll be on for the rest of the road! The following role is extremely important to the series's production, and we will be very selective for who gets in. This is the most important VA role we have ever opened, but we're excited to find the voice for Goliath. He awaits you.
We require people to have Discord, no specific requirements for software programs for parts applicable but as long as you are able to successfully submit what you need to do, we're golden! We are willing to make accommodations for any and all! This Casting Call Club is for the most important voice role we have opened and will be open UNTIL SEPTEMBER 21ST AT 11:59PM MST. You will have 4 weeks to send submissions! If applying for artist roles, I may accept late submissions.

Voice Actor
CHARACTER BIO:
A vagabond who has an unusual tendency to appear where he is most unwelcome. His history, goals, and true nature are a mystery to the Roselinqs, but his overly casual demeanor hides his true self: an angry, spiteful shell of a man with a hatred forged by decades of isolation, if not more. The real Goliath is an exceptional manipulator and puppet-master, and he takes great pleasure in pitting people against each other and watching them tear each other apart without lifting a finger.
While many of the cast of Roses Beneath have ulterior motives and shadowy secrets that make them enemies to each other, Goliath, being the show’s primary antagonist, is a full-blown villain - and he relishes in it. Pulling the strings from the shadows, he works to burn the trust the survivors of the Ardenti have built to the ground, and eventually to have the whole world follow suit. His primary focus seems to be on one Angelino Rosas, but the history between the two is a secret only known to the Lord of Lies.
Goliath does not work alone, however; there are those who believe they share his vision, and he welcomes them into his circle with open arms. Whether he actually cares for them and believes they are of value beyond furthering his own goals is another story. To say Goliath knows how to bring others together for a cause may be an understatement. He won’t stop until his mission has been fulfilled. Watch out for him as his storm is coming.

Artist
This position is for artists! We are specifically looking for illustrators, Character Artists and Concept Artists to help create key artwork for the series (promotional artwork, renders, character artwork, key art, and scenes)! These artists can also help us make important decisions for Character's designs, outfits, and finalize details! They can also conceptualize ideas for later on down the line with the series! Any artists who fit into these categories, whether it is one, or even all, are welcome!
You can be tasked with the following, but be sure to specify which ones you'd like to take on:
-Illustrations or Key Artwork (Digital)-Character Renders (Digital)
-Character Turnarounds (Digital)

Artist
Background artists will help create the background environments and elements to bring our show's atmosphere to life! They will be in charge of conceptualizing the buildings, backgrounds, and sets for the show. We are looking for people who have a good experience in this field!
You can be tasked with:
-Backgrounds for Scenes
-Designing Exteriors or Interiors
-Layouts
-Final results should be digitally

Artist
Storyboarders or Animatic Artists will be in charge of creating the baseline storyboards for the animated scenes in Roses Beneath! They will map out the rough visuals to follow along for the animators and director+editor to follow along when putting the episode together! We recommend you follow a 6 panel per page by script format.
They can also create rough (or even clean if in ability) animatics for the larger scenes, but these can also be used for standard scenes with specific visual choices of monochromatic backgrounds / colors! Great examples of this can be found with animatics of Epic: The Musical, Pretty Pretty Please I Don't Want to Be a Magical Girl and other various animatics on Youtube!
Storyboards can be started via traditional if wanted, but highly recommend if you finalize with digital.

Animator
The rough animators will be in charge of taking the storyboards or animatics for larger scenes and begin the animation process for Roses Beneath! They will be essentially placing down the idea for movement, character expressions, and setting up the look for what's on screen. These people don't have to fully clean up their animations yet!
You will be assigned to:
-Create rough animation based on Storyboards
-Follow Director and Storyboard Lead/Artists Ideas

24FPS Animation
Highly recommend digital, but we are willing to experiment with traditional if it can translate well! Most of ones recruited already have experience with Adobe Animate, but you are free to work with any program you'd like as long as it is convenient for you!

Animator
The Clean Up Animators will be in charge of cleaning up the rough animation for scenes and making things presentable for the final execution of Episodes! They will also be in charge of coloring and shading scenes as well. This next pointer is just encouraged, but we'd love it if any auditionees have experience with lighting, composition, and color grading!
You will be assigned to:
-Clean up rough-animation with clean lineart and form
-Follow director, storyboard artists, and rough-animators based on previous notes if needed
-Color scenes
-Not required, but would be great if you knew a thing or two about making the scene pop out.

Audio Engineer
We're currently looking for Sound Designers and Mixers who have a keen eye at designing sound for the episodes of Roses Beneath! These people will be responsible for laying down sound effects and overall audio work for scenes, mixing and cleaning up audio for VA's (if needed) and can give us an extra hand to polish things!
