This is Part 2 of casting for the project! For the uninitiated, this is an adventure that takes place in the northern parts of Europe, in a medieval time. It covers the history of a prophet, healer, and queen of a rat kingdom called Rokfel, a mouse named Ruuna the Golden Heart. My aim with the project is to make an audio play, similar to the unabridged recordings of Brian Jacques' Redwall, one of my biggest influences for this book. There are still many characters who need voices in the book, so don't worry if you see a third posting for the audio book in the spring!

Pearl is a hedgehog who is married to Quill, a very energetic and enthusiastic hedgehog. She is a hard working mum, who's methodical, yet easily overwhelmed. She gets exhausted when things aren't done just so, and realizes on the optimistic emotional support of her husband.
“(Yawn) She’s been asleep with the others for some moments now. It would be best not to wake her.”
“Not much we can do, seein' as we’re just a few creatures, compared to an army of warbirds.”
“That may be too dangerous! Besides, we don’t have any of a clue where the food could be stored!”
Mr McColly is the guard hare of the town of Burrowside. He is a near fearless rabbit who tackles his problems head on and with humor. He is justice oriented with a delight for the simpler things in life. He has a nearly posh-noble air about him, yet he will always put other ahead of himself, valuing their safety and well-being over his own satisfaction. He is very friendly with nearly anyone, putting emphasis on community.
(Not angry, just curious.) “What’s all the commotion about, eh? You two look as if you’re about to rip that poor basket to bits!”
(He lets a little bit of his distain out at the beginning, then changes to be more optimistic) “Oh, don’t you mind him. He was never an honorable one, but he’s only young yet. You know what I think? I think he might be a warrior yet! He’s got a strong fighting spirit, he does, Eh?”
(In a joking nature while still trying to convey the warning) “Careful now young one! Us ladder born folk won’t be able to move out of the way if you bump into us! Ha-ha! I mean I might, but others won’t be able to, eh?”
Plunder is a starling bird who lives on his own in the kingdom of king Starliff. He was once married to a beautiful starling wife and had a daughter, who is tragically longer with him. He now lives a lonely life, careless life, serving as a guard for the kingdom he hates. Sometimes he will take his anger out on other creatures, but when Ruuna reminds him of his long lost daughter, he begins to soften.
"Eh? What’s he gonna do? Let em rot like the rest? Who’s to say that he’d miss one or two of em! ‘sides! I could use some help making a good snack! These claws are less than useful for grabbing kitchenware!"
"Hah! Let you go?! Not when I have perfectly good work to put you to! I have just the job for two little mice to handle!"
"You’ll be alright… (sigh) The bleedin’ will stop and you’ll heal. Now let us go. Bein’ out in the open isn’t a bright idea for small creatures."
Skoglar is the Viking marmot captain of the ship called “Luach fola”, a ship stolen and repurposed as a treasure seeking pirate's ship. All that is on his mind is finding the secret treasure of the Burnham family, a treasure long forgotten on the northern islands of Fallen-Peak. He is cunning, yet he revels in the joy of pirating, and sailing. His self-righteous view of himself tends to get the better of him.
(Menacing and taunting) “So, ye be the scallywag who dared t’battle a Viking near twice yer bulk! Ho-Ho-Ho! Ye be a brave soul, ain’t ye...”
(In his element, Yelling over the top of the seas with snappy, quick on his toes thinking) “Oi, hoist that sail and set it westward! Haul up the anchor and secure it in its rightful hold! Ye there! Gather all them slaves, every last scurvy one, and set ‘em to rowin’! We be needin’ all the might we can muster to steer clear of the sandbars and cliffs! Ar har-har-har-har-har! The seas will be me dancin’ partner yet!”
(Grumpy and accusative) “Some scurvy mate stole me precious elderberry wine! When I discover the scoundrel, I’ll send ‘em down to the depths of the seas and back! And as for that scallywag’s carcass, it’ll make fine fish bait, mark me words!”
Cecil is a orphaned, ten-year-old vole of a deceased villain called Cecilia Dead-gut. He caries an innocent nature, even if it can get unknowingly annoying. He is very loyal to Bell and Ruuna, since they seem to treat him better than most, who think he is insignificant, something that he tends to believe himself. He is naturally curious and surprisingly well mannered.
"Hey! You don’t get to call me that, you big… you really big… Oh, forget it."
"Prithee sir, we are lost. We are good creatures, each with their own family and home! Take pity on us, we mean you no harm…"
"If she were still here, she’d rip your ear out if she heard you talking like that!"
Raker is a racoon with a large apatite and a strong yet peaceful demeanor. He is dutiful and loyal to his companions and he boasts himself as the gradian of the two families. He's a little less open to accept new the new friends that Quill introduces his home to. He has a very soft yet strong shape to him, able to lift much more than you would take him to.
"Quill was supposed to get food for us out there but brought you instead. Perhaps you two could go sneak into the kingdom as slaves and smuggle whatever you can out with yah by cover of night!"
"You can’t just keep taking in every creature you find out there! Still, this one does look quite small and young yet."
"Aye, but you can’t just coop every-creature you find in here! And besides that, weren’t you out looking for rations? Did you find anything?"
Coona is the Racoon partner to Raker. She lives with him under the kind roof of Quill. She's not afraid call out of her husband's incredible need to eat or think about food. She gets along easily with tougher types like herself, not afraid to put rogues in their place. Often, she has a tendency to think about strategy.
"Oh, leave her alone you big oaf! She’s had enough to handle without you pestering her."
"Along with that... Mayhap you could learn something too, about any weak points or allies."
"Is your stomach all that is on your mind?"
Brian is the father of Ruuna, a sailor turned farmer after he married his wife Lilac. He is a quiet yet cunning mouse who can be a little neglectful, though most times he doesn't mean it. There are two things he loves most in the world, sailing, and his family. He has a drier voice that is clean since he has never smoked a day in his life. (The voice I imagine he has is that of Martin the Warrior, from the unabridged recordings of the redwall books, voiced by Marc Jacques.)
“I heard that you fought that evil beast quite well. But you are still quite young and inexperienced despite your fighting spirit! Here, have this scone.”
“Right, I’ve almost searched everything!” Brian is pulled out of the cabin by force. “Why’d you go and do that for?! I told you; I was almost done!”
“What are yah goin’ off about mate? See, I needed a wash break, besides I don’t have anything to give yah!”
I am looking for a composer, with a focus on fantasy/ medieval music. I'm looking to make two kinds of music in particular: One being sung songs where the voice is the only instrument (I can write the lyrics for or with you); And two being the really thematic music with era ascent instrumentation. (This can also have lyrics and singing voices too, but not always)

Stubb is the most gullible and naïve of the the three weasels that Slagg hired as his corsairs. Being the most tolerant and the weakest of the group means his usually subject to a lot of abuse and practical jokes. He wants to make good graces with Slagg to make his way up the ranks to lord it over the other two, but usually ends up getting the short end of the stick. Out of the three he is the one most likely to say something, epically without thinking it through.
"Ow! Someone’s got me right foot-paw gripped tighter than a crab-claw! Let go, ye crab-apple!"
"R-right, first mate Slagg sir... But uh, won’t that upset Skoglar when he finds out that she’s too weak to row any?"
"Why’d you do that?! You (phew)... You Bampot!"
Quill is a go-lucky type of hedgehog with an optimistic view on life. He has a very jolly nature and a very forthcoming personality. He puts the worry of others before his own, and cares deeply about his family, which whom he views is nearly anyone, except those who are selfish. Some say he always has a smile on his face even when he's worried. There are moments when he surprises those around him with his rare quiet and gentle nature. (The voice I compare him most to is Gonf prince of cheese thieves from Moss flower.)
"Hardly, I just remembered, I haven’t even introduced meself! I’m Quill!"
"Naw. It’s too dark! Besides that, they’re too dumb-witted to fly any claw or feather in there anyhow, even if they could see!"
"Ah, don’t you mind them. They’re the friends I was goin’ off about, Raker and his partner Coona! They were trapped with nowhere to go, cornered near the cave entrance. I couldn’t just let em birds take what wasn’t theirs, so I snuck em in here!"
Star is a little mole about 8 years old. He isn't very educated and thus speaks in a simplistic nature. His voice is also broken yet innocent. He is very loyal to his friends, and loves tall places.
"Urr! This’m basket be makin’ Star a tall’n beasty! Mouser Ruuna doesn’t need ta be scared! Star’ll keep you’m safe!"
"(Gasp) Runna mouser! Grrr! Stop’m that bad tuggin’, you big’n birdy beasty!"
"Huhuhu! Urr, that be soundin’ like Ruuna’r is hungry too!"
Scratch-nose is the most reckless of the three weasels Slagg had hired as corsairs. He displays a menacing and careless nature that caries a morally ambiguous tone in his voice. He is the usually the quietest of the three, choosing to relax and let chaos ensue. When he's not joking around he has a surprising knowledge of the land and survival. Scratch-nose has a nasally voice thanks to an injury on his snout
"Quiet! Squawks be wild war birds, as vile and cruel as they be! They’ll surround thy, an’ swarm ye, any beast they don’t have the manner for!"
"You looked like a scared babe! Hahaha! You should’ve seen yer face mate!"
"Uh… They, uh… they looked like they didn’t notice us and disappeared. That way, Me thinks."
Red-claw is a weasel of Darkwater plains, and part of Slagg Rouskin's band of corsairs. He is usually the most self confident, cocky and brash out of his other three cohorts. He enjoys complaining and playing practical jokes on his companions even though he still displays a cowardly nature.
"Heh-heh-heh! Hey, Scratch-nose! Watch this! Heh-heh, Boo!"
"Ever since that Slagg hired us to be his crew, it’s been a livin’ nightmare! Commandin’ us, this way and that, chasin’ after babes, livin’ in tents, rushin’ us inta the brush and for what? Eh? A couple of gold coins? Pah! I could earn that in a day if I wanted!"
"Aye, they’re huntin’ birds, always lookin’ for easy pickin’s. They’ve been chacin’ us weasels for seasons more than most can count! Keep em limbs close, an’ keep quiet if ye value ye life!"
