Compensation: $120 USD per completed milestone

We are looking for an organized, communicative, and experienced Head of Production to join Gleamlake, our original feature-length 3D animated fantasy musical currently in active pre-production.

The Head of Production will oversee the project’s organizational and operational development, working closely with the Director, Producer, and Heads of Department to ensure smooth communication, coordination, and progress across the production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production Oversight: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the project’s current production stage, ongoing developments, departmental progress, upcoming milestones, and overall production needs.

• Team Coordination: Work closely with Heads of Department to monitor progress, coordinate responsibilities, address delays, and ensure departments remain aligned.

• Meetings & External Collaborations: Organize and lead production meetings, including discussions with prospective collaborators, industry professionals, consultants, and external partners. Represent the project professionally during introductory meetings and follow-up communications.

• Production Planning: Develop and maintain production schedules, milestone timelines, task assignments, and organizational workflows.

• Project Management: Oversee production tracking systems, documentation, team availability, deadlines, and departmental updates.

• Communication: Serve as a central point of contact between the Director, Producer, department leads, and external collaborators, ensuring important information is communicated clearly and consistently.

• Progress Reporting: Provide regular updates on the project’s development, completed milestones, potential challenges, and upcoming priorities.

Requirements:

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Previous experience in production management, animation, film, or other collaborative creative projects is highly preferred.

• Confidence in leading professional meetings and communicating with external collaborators.

• Familiarity with production pipelines, project management tools, and milestone-based workflows.

• Ability to maintain a detailed understanding of the project and its development across multiple departments.

• Reliability, initiative, and the ability to work independently within an international remote team.

Payment & Work Structure:

This is a remote, milestone-based paid position, offering $120 USD per completed milestone. Milestones and responsibilities will be discussed and agreed upon in advance.

Role Description

We are looking for a creative and experienced Head of Music Department to oversee the musical direction of Gleamlake and lead our team of composers ,voice actors and other music contributors throughout development and production.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of musical storytelling, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate closely with the writing and production departments.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a cohesive musical identity for the film.

• Supervise and coordinate the work of composers and other music contributors.

• Collaborate with the writing department to develop musical sequences and determine their narrative purpose.

• Provide creative feedback on compositions, character themes, and musical arrangements.

• Oversee the development of original songs and instrumental music.

• Help coordinate musical timing and requirements with the storyboard and animation departments.

• Track departmental progress, review deliverables, and communicate regularly with production leadership.

• Contribute original musical work when agreed upon as part of a milestone.

Requirements

• Experience in music composition, arrangement, or musical direction.

• Strong understanding of storytelling through music, particularly in animation, film, or musical theatre.

• Ability to lead a creative team and provide constructive feedback.

Position: Head of Storyboarding Department

Role Description

We are seeking a Head of Storyboarding Department to lead and supervise the storyboarding process for Gleamlake as the project moves into screenplay development and visual pre-production.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of cinematic composition, visual storytelling, character acting, and storyboard production pipelines.

This is primarily a department leadership position involving creative supervision, coordination, and quality control.

Responsibilities

● Lead and coordinate the storyboarding department.

● Review screenplay sequences and help translate them into clear visual storytelling.

● Assign scenes and tasks to storyboard artists in coordination with production leadership.

● Maintain consistency in character acting, composition, pacing, and cinematic direction.

● Review storyboards and provide constructive feedback and revision notes.

● Collaborate with the director, writing department, and Head of Production.

● Work with the music department on musical sequences, including timing, choreography, and visual rhythm.

● Help supervise the development of animatics and storyboard revisions.

● Track departmental progress and ensure agreed milestones are completed.

● Produce or revise storyboards directly when included in an agreed milestone.

Requirements

● Strong storyboard portfolio demonstrating cinematic storytelling.

● Good understanding of composition, camera angles, staging, character acting, and visual continuity.

● Experience with storyboarding for animation, film, or similar narrative projects.

● Ability to provide constructive artistic feedback and lead a team.

● Strong communication and organizational skills.

● Familiarity with digital storyboarding software.

● Understanding of 3D animation production workflows is preferred.

● Experience with musical sequences or animatics is a plus.

Important

Storyboarding will begin alongside the development of the screenplay, with sequences assigned as they become sufficiently established.
