Project Overview
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
FOREVER.exe is about a brilliant but grief-stricken bio-scientist, Dr. Orvis Thorne, who risks everything he has to transcend the boundaries of life and death to save his wife, Eurida.
It is an intense, emotional story that explores the costs and ethics of cheating death. Set as a modern parallel to the mythology of Orpheus and Eurydice, Orvis descends into madness as each step to saving Eurida takes him down a darker and darker path. His loyal friend Linus helps him on his journey, but cautions Orvis to beware the point of no return.

There are additional minor roles available. If you'd like to be considered for any additional minor roles, let me know in the description of your audition.
While there are no equipment / EQ requirements for auditions, please ensure you have clear recording quality, free of background noise. Please refrain from modifying your audition audio too heavily. Basic compression and EQ is fine. Ad-libbing is encouraged, but try to have at least one take of the full, original line.

Dr. Orvis Thorne is a highly intelligent bio-scientist driven by a singular, all-consuming mission. He is a man of intense, quiet focus, but months of isolation and tireless effort have left him physically and emotionally threadbare.
His core motivation is an overwhelming love for his deceased wife and a desperate need to bring her back. He is anxious, highly secretive, and prone to extreme emotional swings, though he constantly tries to suppress them in favor of logic and procedure.

Linus Callen is the loyal but concerned friend and colleague of Orvis Thorne. He represents the outside world and the voice of reason, constantly attempting to pull Orvis back from his dangerous isolation. Warm, personable, professional, occasionally sarcastic.

Dr. Harlow is the high-level authority figure at the lab where Orvis Thorne works. He embodies the cold, bureaucratic rules and corporate scrutiny that Orvis is actively defying. Harlow is a man driven by metrics, procedure, and reputation. He's not a monster, but he's a serious businessman who prioritizes the operation over the individual.

Elliot Shaw is Dr. Orvis Thorne's newly appointed assistant. He is a diligent, nervous, and compliant young professional who admires and follows Orvis through his journey. He is techincally capable, but lacks conviction. Generally anxious and fearful of authority.

Eurida is the heart of the story. She is Dr. Orvis Thorne's deceased wife, now existing as a digitized consciousness. She floats in a limited dark space, with an almost ethereal presence. She is mostly represented as a glowing green dot on a monitor.
