LET'S DUB: Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Chapters 8-17)
Project Overview
Hello, everybody. This is the second of several casting calls for a Let's Dub of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, covering characters who first appear in chapters 8-17.
What's a Let's Dub, you ask? Well, it's what you get when you take out the unimportant or otherwise boring parts of gameplay (long pauses in strategy, unnecessary math, etc.) and edit together the good parts into a movie-esque YouTube thingy. Story and voice acting included.
For those of you who don't know, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance is the ninth game in the Fire Emblem series, a bunch of turn-based strategy RPGs in fantasy settings. This game takes place in the land of Tellius, which is populated by beorc (humans) and laguz (humanoids who can change into animals and back again). One day, the beorc nation Daein attacks neighboring Crimea, killing off most of the royal family and causing the survivors to flee. Among the major players are the Greil Mercenaries, featuring a swordsman named Ike, who will one day rise up and lead the effort to retake Crimea from Daein.
That's where you people come in. I'll record the gameplay, and if you're selected for the roles you audition for, you'll dub for the characters you play. Feel free to ad lib battle efforts as well. Attack grunts, pain grunts, mid-fight skill activation banter, death cries, etc. Apart from minor characters, like bosses, the roles listed are in the order that they appear in-game. As for voice references, you don't have to match the voices exactly; what's more important is your ability to act overall. Also, if selected, you'll be invited to a small Discord server related to the project, so having a Discord handle is a must.
There will also be custom background music edited in.
When auditioning, please consider the following:
- Respect: Please show respect towards the directors and the other cast members. We will not tolerate rude behavior.
- Mic Quality: Please do not have any white noise, background sounds, etc…
- Acting: Please show emotion in your auditions. Acting is very important to bring a character to life.
- Have Fun! This project was designed to help expand actor’s horizons and also for them to have fun.

Ilyana is a mage travelling with a merchant caravan led by Muston.
She's a shy and meek person who doesn't make much effort to get to know others unless food is involved but values the friends that she does make. Of note are her enormous appetite and constant hunger, causing her to faint often.

Lethe is a warrior of Gallia, sent by King Caineghis to aid Ike and the Greil mercenaries.
She's a harsh, proud person, taking her duty as commander in the Gallian military. She dislikes the idea of fighting alongside beorc, having studied the history of laguz slavery across Tellius. Despite all this, she does care for her comrades and is open to helping improve beorc/laguz relations, though she has trouble showing it.

If something's good, it's good. Denying something's obvious worth out of petty spite is foolish. It's not that I...I do not despise everything beorc. If every beorc could get along with us as well as you do, I'm certain...
Mordecai is a warrior of Gallia, sent by King Caineghis to aid Ike and the Greil mercenaries.
He's a peace-loving and innocent man who loves children and holds no ill will toward beorc. Despite being Lethe's subordinate, he's quick to reprimand her for her harsh words, as he prefers diplomacy to confrontation, though he can and will attack without mercy on the rare occasion he gets angry.

Caineghis is the king of Gallia, the forest nation of the beast clans.
He's a valorous but calm person who, as a good friend of Elincia's father, King Ramon of Crimea, wants to see beorc and laguz live together in harmony despite his own difficulty trusting most beorc.

Correct. And you and your sister? You were both born here in Gallia. You stayed only for a short time, but part of your childhood was spent within these borders.
Gallia and Crimea are allied nations, that cannot be denied. However, this alliance in reality binds only the royal families. It is not respected by our citizenry.
A warrior such as you, wounded? Did a beorc give you that bruise?
The king told me to come and check on you. Don't move...Hm, you're plenty banged up, but nothing appears to be broken.
Nothing to be done about that. Every one of the older retainers has memories of laguz subordination. Even the king.
Volke is a thief hired by Greil to investigate something. Whatever it is, he won't tell anyone unless they pay him well.
He's a secretive, tight-lipped man who will do any job he's assigned as long as he's paid well. He prefers solitude whenever possible, though he does have a few visible loyalties, such as to Greil—and therefore, Ike.

Sephiran is the prime minister of the Begnion empire and the empress' most trusted advisor. Unknown to most, he's actually [REDACTED]
He's a capricious person who goes out of his way to help others wherever he is. However, he's very secretive and calculating, willing to bend the truth however he sees fit to attain his goals.

Brom is a villager from Ohma who joined the town militia and was imprisoned at Canteus Castle for his troubles.
He's a down-to-earth man who dislikes war and violence but will stand and fight to protect his family whenever necessary. Apparently, he's rather sensitive as well.

Nephenee is a villager from Ohma who joined the town militia and was imprisoned at Canteus Castle for her troubles.
She's a capable soldier but suffers from low self-esteem, often putting herself down and trying to hide her face and country speech from others aside from fellow country dwellers like Brom.

Kieran is a Crimean royal knight and a survivor of the battle that cost Elincia her escort of knights. Instead of being killed, he was imprisoned at Canteus Castle for his troubles.
He's a hotblooded, proud, hyperactive, and obnoxious person who goes to extreme lengths to distinguish himself as a Crimean royal knight. He has a bitter but one-sided rivalry with Oscar, who was a former knight before he joined the Greil Mercenaries.

Quiet, fool! Keep your cowardly mutterings to yourself. It matters not what vile torture they devise. A true knight of Crimea is bold, steadfast, and strong.

Zihark is a travelling mercenary who came to Crimea upon hearing about improvements in beorc/laguz relations there, joining a vigilante group in Toha to help laguz escape them.
He's a kind, friendly, and sociable person with such a strong conviction toward an ideal of harmony between beorc and laguz that he'll go to just about any length to uphold it. Though he prefers avoiding conflict, he will fight if left with no other option.

Jill is a soldier from the Talrega region of Daein and aspires to be a famed wyvern rider like her father, Shiharam.
She's a person of many self-doubts, such as the way she was raised to believe that laguz were evil, but nonetheless seeks to stand by her convictions, whatever they may turn into.

...I have a duty. As a Daein soldier, I cannot allow a Crimean princess and her band of mercenaries to run free where they will.
No one wants to share the table with a Daein soldier. It would ruin the meal.
Haar is a wyvern lord and second in command of the Fizzart Platoon, led by Shiharam, Jill's father.
He's a calm, nonchalant person who constantly dozes off whenever and wherever he gets the chance. Nonetheless, he has a strong sense of honor and loyalty to those he respects.

Mad King Ashnard is the 13th king of Daein and the main villain of the game.
He's a bloodthirsty, power-crazed person who believes that rule of society should be determined by strength alone. To that end, he seek to engulf all of Tellius in war.

The hindrance that was Gawain is dead. The location of the medallion...will soon be known. Has our "worm" worked itself into the group?
We all radiate various forms of chaotic energy, and the dark god is pure chaos! The light you see is that energy calling out to the chaos around us. That is why some scholars refer to it as the Fire Emblem.
If you are stronger than those around you, you should benefit from your strength. This is why I will use my strength to remake this world.
Sothe is a thief from Daein, looking for somebody close to him.
He's a calm, secretive person who doesn't smile all that much but sympathizes with the destitute, especially in Daein.

I'm...looking for someone. I heard this ship was sailing for Begnion, so I decided to climb aboard.
Yeah. I mean, we're not related by blood or anything, but...we're definitely family.
Tanith is the deputy commander of Begnion's Holy Guard and a devotee to the empress.
She's a dutiful, strong-willed person with a reputation among her subordinates for being a strict and fearful officer. This is her way of showing concern for them, apparently, though it does lead them to call her the Great Demon.

Astrid is the daughter of house Damiell and a former knight of Begnion.
She's a humble and sincere but naïve young woman with a hidden rebellious streak a mile long. Due to the sad nature of her upbringing, she wants her life to be hers and hers alone.

Everything's so wrapped up in form and tradition, it feels like Begnion has lost track of more important things.
I am still not satisfied. I may now be a knight, but my hands still shake when I draw my bowstring. So perhaps my goal was not simply to become a knight. Perhaps my true goal was to become stronger.
Naesala is the king of Kilvas, the island nation of the raven clan.
He's at first glance a cold, uncaring, narcissistic person who wants little to do with the other laguz clans besides the herons. Beneath that, he's wholly devoted to Kilvas, going to any measure to ensure the safety of his people, no matter how dirty.

Nealuchi is an elderly chamberlain of the raven clan and advisor to Naesala—whom he constantly calls Nestling.
He's a doting old person who is fond of House Serenes and its survival. Unlike other ravens, he detests the skullduggery that Naesala practices and encourages his people to do for the sake of Kilvas.

Tibarn is the king of Phoenicis, the island nation of the hawk clan.
He's a brave, headstrong, and proud person with a strong sense of honor and protectiveness of the herons, though he will use underhanded tactics when necessary. Also, he's known to hold long grudges.

I am Tibarn, king of Phoenicis. Since the loss of their homeland, the Serenes royal family has been under my guardianship. Who are you, and why do you aid the herons?
Janaff is one of Tibarn's advisors and bears the nickname, the Hawk King's Eyes.
He's an enthusiastic, friendly person with a carefree disposition in conversation, but he's nevertheless easily offended, especially when people get his age wrong.

Ulki is one of Tibarn's advisors and bears the nickname, the Hawk King's Ears.
He's a reserved and quiet person who prefers solitude to social gatherings. Nonetheless, when prompted to, he shows a kind heart and a willingness to make friends and help others out.

Sigrun is the commander of Begnion's Holy Guard and a devotee to the empress.
Unlike Tanith, she's a kind and compassionate person, and is thus well-loved by her subordinates. Although of noble birth, she considers beorc and laguz equal and laments that prejudice still exists in the land of the goddess.

Every precious life was created to be equal by the blessed goddess. The fact that there are still those who persecute laguz in the land of the goddess... It is deplorable.
Sanaki Kirsch Altina is the empress of Begnion, declared the apostle and therefore the chosen vessel of goddess Ashera.
Despite being only a kid, she's a dignified person who cares a lot about manners and respect between beorc and laguz. She is known to act impulsively, however, much to her subjects' chagrin.

Oliver is the duke of Tanas and a senator of Begnion.
He's obsessed with beauty and has very few moral qualms in pursuit of it. He enjoys collecting things that he considers beautiful and will violently protect them, even if he disobeys the empress herself.

Calill is a self-proclaimed first-class mage aiming to prove herself to the world.
She's a self-absorbed, narcissistic person who nonetheless has enough skill to back up her big talk. She can come across as rather bossy but shows enough care to help those she thinks are worth her time.

Makalov is Marcia's guppy-brained lout of an older brother, constantly in debt and on the run.
He's a self-indulgent, careless person with no common sense or apparent ability to improve, even at gambling. At the very least, he admits that he's a loser and does deeply care for his sister.

Reyson is the prince of Serenes (SEH-reh-nes), the former home of the nearly extinct heron clan.
Rather unusually for a heron, he's a fierce-tempered, strong-willed person who idolizes Tibarn to the point of wanting to be more like him. Early in his tenure in the story, he hates beorc because of the massacre of his clan 20 years before.

Stefan is a hermit in the Grann Desert and a peerless swordfighter.
He's a loner who understands and questions matters of life from a broader perspective. Being a swordmaster among swordmasters, he's confident in his ability and assessment of others.

Tormod is the leader of an underground laguz emancipation group, working to free laguz from slavery.
He's an enthusiastic, headstrong person with a strong sense of justice, even if he can be rather arrogant. Having grown up with Muarim, a former slave, he shows deep respect for the laguz.

Muarim is a former laguz slave and Tormod's caretaker and closest friend and ally.
He's an honorable person, seeking to protect those around him whom he feels he can trust. He's quick to apologize for his mistakes and accept reprimands, owing to his former life as a slave.

Devdan is a guard at the home of Duke Tanas, forced to work there for a year for looking at the garden.
He's an eccentric, amusing person who always looks at the bright side of life. He enjoys playing tricks on people, though these sometimes scare them instead of making them laugh.

Leanne is the princess of Serenes (SEH-reh-nes), the former home of the nearly extinct heron clan.
She's for the most part a demure, naïve person with a compassionate, forgiving heart. However, she also has a childish streak that manifests in stubbornness to the point of getting her way.

Kurthnaga is the prince of Goldoa, the mountainous nation of the dragon clans.
He's a soft-spoken, well-mannered person with boundless curiosity and longing to see the outside world despite Goldoa's isolationist policies. He also has a strong sense of justice and therefore willingness to help others in need.

Chance has brought us together, and I am grateful for this opportunity. In fact, I wish we could feast a while and converse. However, my father would never allow it.
Dheginsea is the king of Goldoa, father of Kurthnaga, and one of the Three Heroes who fought alongside the goddess Ashera.
He's a person wholly committed to the covenant of peace that he swore to Ashera long ago, often to the point of stubborn neutrality. He forbids Goldoa from interacting with the outside world out of fear that doing so will lead to war all across Tellius.
