"Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger" Manga Fandub 2
Project Overview
Introduction
Welcome to my fandub for the "Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger" manga. These dubs are for fun, but I am striving to create a good quality product for each one, to give the cast involved something to be proud as well as ourselves. We know it's not always easy getting experience, and I want these projects to be a high quality project for people of any experience level to either just have fun doing or so people wanting to get more experience and for everyone to have something they're proud of to share. This is one of multiple dubs that are up or will being posted in the coming weeks. We are trying to build a surplus of videos up before they start going up in June. That way it will give the long term VA's for any of the projects some leeway if things come up down the road and they can't meet deadlines. Once June hits there will still be some coming up every so often but the majority of the projects for the next few months at least will be being listed this month or the beginning of April.
What I'm Looking For
Due to this and future projects like this being fandubs, unfortunately I am not able to offer monetary compensation due to copyright. Although it is unpaid though I would like to still have a level of professionalism and quality to the project. So I will be looking for people with:
- Good quality microphone, preferably XLR but if you have a USB mic do not let that deter you from auditioning since it is the sound quality I'm looking for and that's still definitely achievable with some USB mics.
- Little to no background noise, reverb or echo. Some we can definitely work with but if there is too much of any of these it greatly takes away from the quality of the audio and can be very jarring to listen to when mixed in with other audio.
- Discord is definitely preferred but not mandatory by any means but will make things much easier to work on the project as a whole.
- A good attitude! I'm hoping to form a great group of people to continue working with me on these projects going forward and that is obviously much easier if you can get along well with me and the rest of the team!

We have also started a discord channel for Echo Audio Productions for this project and many more manga and video game dubs going forward. Sara is the focal character of this arc and the Princess of Mysidia, although some don't think she acts enough like a Princess. When the group first meets her they think she's just some random townsperson that can be a bit opinionated. They are quite surprised to find out she's the Princess of the entire Kingdom.
Sara has a huge heart and cares for everyone, even those who she doesn't know or those who have wronged her. In her eyes no life is dispensable. She would even give her own life if it meant protecting those around her. She wants to take over the kingdom to make her dads dream of a Kingdom with no social ranks a reality.
She is in her early 20s I'd say but I picture her having a very strong and youthful voice. She can be a bit outspoken and does not always act very Princess like. I picture her voice being a bit of a medium tone, nothing too deep or too high. She needs to be able to emote though as the most important thing. She has parts where she screams in anger, parts she cries and parts she's very desperate. So whoever plays her needs to be able to fully capture those moments.
They really are unreasonable in there aren't they! that information broker!... You can only cope with something like stress eating!... Right!? *Devouring a sandwich while she's talking, very annoyed"
I got it! Wanna make a deal? You find my cat and I'll help you get into the library! *wink*
A few days ago while I was feeding him, I opened the window... I turned away just for a second and when I turned back he was gone.... I've searched high and low and no sign of him anywhere... *Down and upset but calm about losing her cat*
He's actually a gift from someone you see. and.... he may be a new special breed of magic cat *uncomfortable laugh* Suspiciously and uncomfortably tells them*
They wanted to know EVERYTHING about me!! That's what the receptionist said to me with that icy smile of hers! *Furious and disgusted*
intrusion indeed.... This is no way to ask for a favor. Assuming I am in fact the Princess of Mysidia... You would treat me like this!? Do you think your acts would go unpunished!? No matter what your reasons... No life should EVER be sacrificed!!
Sandy is the middle of the Magus Sisters, and easily the quietest and most stable of them. Unlike her sisters she doesn't have really any moments of insanity and is fairly calm throughout other than the odd moment of panic over concern for one of her sisters.
I picture her voice being a bit lower and fairly monotone most of the time. She does need to be able to emote for the few spots of panic she has.
May usurpation run astray... As my unseen ivy... Walls like a weather vane... Hold!! *Saying an incantation*
An escape... They're going to trap us inside the cathedral....
Slumbering star fire beneath the earth... Awaken at long last... And cast judgement upon mine enemies!! Firag- *Gets cut off and gasps in shock and terror*
*panicked gasp* Sister!!!! Look out!!! *trying to warn her and cant help. Suddenly appears in front of Shogo* How dare you attack my sister.... *incredibly dark, quiet and angry*
Mindy is the youngest of the Magus sisters and also the most outspoken. She is very sarcastic and has a lot of attitude and has no qualms about putting people in their place or talking down to them. She sees everyone else as inferior to them and acts like it's just a game toying with people's lives who aren't strong enough to fight them. Even when she doesn't hate someone, she is very cold and condescending towards them and couldn't really care less about them.
I picture her voice being more mid - high range, but the attitude is definitely the most important thing. The VA needs to be able to capture the sarcasm, venom and disdain she has for everyone else.
O-o-o-of course not!! I've never seen them before! ... Seriously Cindy, I'm not lying!!
Uh oh... Looks like he piqued Cindy's interest... That guy's life.... is as good as over... *casual "oh this again" kinda attitude with a shrug*
ke ke ke... It seems these guys don't know there place... *creepy and ominous*
uhg! That creepy old man again!
Nyee-hee-hee! So you thought we'd only just snuck in now, huh? Noooope!
Too bad you thought you'd be the ones to take us by surprise! You've really just taken the bait... and walked right into our den!!!
Count Borghen is a horrible and perverted old man. He severely manipulated and tortured little children for the sake of his own prosperity. He is a sick and twisted man who cares about no one but himself and treats the people working for him like garbage. He does however suffer a very... well deserved fate. So the VA will need to be able to scream in agony.
He should sound like a total sleeze, and what you would picture a horrible old wealthy man to sound like.
Hey, open up! I know you're in there!! *angry*... Hey! You come running as soon as I come calling, idiots!!!
Have you forgotten who's benevolence allows you to remain in this nation?! You are only here because you in my villa!
When my find of the century is known to the world ... The Borghen name shall rise to new glorious heights!!!
If the legends are true... then it holds information on lost ancient magics!!
What!? Ancient white magic you say!? What...!? What is it...!?!
With such a power... forget just Mysidia... The whole world will be mine!!!! Geh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh!!! *like an insane mad man*
*Scream in agony as if you are experiencing the worst possible pain*
Gershwin is a very cold and serious character for the most part. So much so that he comes off as a bit of a side villain for part of the arc. He does not appear to care about anything other than his job, even seeming as if he didn't care and was almost glad his mother was murdered because she was overstepping her boundaries as a servant in forming a more friendly relationship with her master.
He does end up showing that he deeply cares for the royal family and only wants to do what he feels is best for the Princess. He would easily give his life to protect them.
I picture his voice strong and noble, he is extremely well educated and the leader of the royal magic guard. I think his voice should be a bit deeper but nothing major. As well as a bit cold and harsh sounding.
We, the Mysidian Royal Guard... Have no time for your weak and belated excuses! Your crime is deserving of a thousand deaths!!
Knights of Mysidia! Your nation faces eradication! Protect the Princess and the King... and show them what it means to be knights!!! If you have what it takes, then rise to your feet!!!
One who does not shoulder responsibilities will never come to power. Going forward, you had best decide... What it is you must do, your highness. *Cold and almost cruel*
Everyone, please be silent... Before us now are four terrorists who conspired to overthrow the nation... Here for public execution!! *Announcing to the court*
How dare you foreign rabble address the exalted Princess of Mysidia as an equal!! *Furious*
If the need arose, I would lay down my life to protect you. I would die admirably... Just like my mother did... *Proud, kind and caring*
Palom and Porum are twins and appear as just children, although they are infact great magical scholars and in charge of the Princess' studies. I would like the same person to voice them both as they should sound fairly similar other than Palom is male and Porum is female. They care for the Princess deeply and would follow her no matter where she goes.
They should sound young and cute to match their bodies although they should come across very educated in tone as well. They should be fairly similar other than their gender. The lines are marked as one or the other so we would like to hear takes for both of them.
Palom - Nice to meet you. Palom here, and likewise
Pal - Insolent fools! What are you doing to the Princess' guests?!
Pal - She's not mad, just worried. And worrying is a good thing.... Because it means she hasn't given up
Por - We are Princess Sara's house tutors. I'm Porom. A court magister
Por - It's all right. You don't have to stand up and fight Princess. No matter what you choose, we will be with you.
Por - Do not worry Princess! We are here by your side and we will protect you at all costs! Please allow us to deal with this!
King Mysidian is Sara's father and the ruling King of Mysidia. He appears quite cold and careless at the early points in this arc, we then find he's been hiding a dark secret. He chose his daughter over the entire country and caused pain, sorrow and chaos because of it, but he didn't care. He would do anything to keep this knowledge secret from his daughter who is completely unaware.
He had a good heart and had wanted to create a world where everyone was equal, despite the complaints from the nobles. He gave the lower class citizens hope for life. So he devastated countless people when he changed his mind.
He should have a bit more tired and worn kingly voice. Something royal but not overly noble, to show his true side of caring more for his family than his people.
I bid you swear to uphold the will of Mysidia's first King... And give your body and mind for the protection of Mysidia...
While it is impressive that you three alone made it past these elite guards... This game ends now
... Speak no further!!! I do not care how! Subjugate and seize them!! *Enraged and panicked that they are revealing information he wanted to stay private*
... Is your objective... To torture us to death like this?
With the amount of work we are currently producing we are very open to having help with the editing. Because of the nature of the project, we aren't able to provide compensation for this role either unfortunately, but if you are interested in gaining more experience and credits to your name, or just love the content and would like to work on a project for fun, we would love to hear from you!
We have this along with many other projects on the go at the moment and we are mainly assigning each VE their own project.
The editing for the manga's is going to be fairly simple, just lots of transitions and words loading as speech is being overlaid. As well as inputting the audio tracks into the video as well obviously. Some of the mangas with more action it would be great to have more effects like shakes, speed lines etc as well.
