Project Overview
Hello all!
I have always wanted to bring some life to those classic JRPG's that never had their own voices! So, I am bringing together a cast of enthusiastic fans of the genre to create a compilation of fully voiced cutscenes from the Final Fantasy series. These will be videos uploaded to my YouTube in an episodic fashion. While there are numerous characters in Final Fantasy (and JRPG's in general), I am listing the main and supporting cast, along with extras for various other roles.
SYNOPSIS
The story follows Cecil, a dark knight of Baron, as he tries to prevent the sorcerer Golbez from seizing powerful crystals and destroying the world. Cecil sets off on an adventure in which he and his allies must uncover the truth and save the world from monsters.
**IMPORTANT**
REQUIREMENTS
-
XLR or USB microphones are required. Audio must be high quality (no background noise/hum, peaking, distortion, etc.)
- Please have a Discord and attach a username to your audition.
- Please save your auditions as .wav files. (and final audio should be in .wav)
- Please no more than 2-3 takes per line, and one audition per character.
- This is a full video game, so there are many lines to be recorded. Voice recording will need to match up to the speed of the play through. The videos will be provided for reference when recording.
- Please be dedicated and aware of the commitment before you audition.
- Most importantly, have fun with it!
DEADLINE
The "deadline" is subject to change, we will release episodes every few weeks to every month.
I will most likely be casting some roles ahead of schedule, so we can have ample enough time to record, as there are many lines!

2 Weeks Till Deadline - Casting Some Roles Early
Hello everyone!! I have been so impressed and happy with the volume of auditions and level of talent! I really do appreciate it. We have just shy of two weeks left until all roles are cast, so I wanted to cast some of them ahead of time in order to get more of a focus on those roles I'm not quite sure of yet (if I don't cast you YET, that doesn't mean you're out of the running)! I wish I could cast everyone, but of course that's unrealistic. However, please keep in mind that it is my full intention to keep these fandubs going all the way up through FF IX! So stay tuned for more casting calls!!

He leads the town of Mysidia, which is populated by Black and White Mages. Minwu is an experienced mage himself, and also a close friend to the wandering Sage Tellah. He is knowledgeable in the Mysidian Legend that speaks of the Chosen One come to save the world.
A forgiving and kind-hearted man, with a strong sense of righteousness.

Baron was once ruled by a benevolent king, who took Cecil and Kain under his wing and raised them as his children. One day, the King became violent and aggressive, seemingly only caring about obtaining crystals. It is later revealed that he has actually been the Archfiend Cagnazzo in disguise.

Pronunciation: Cagnazzo ("cag-nah-zoh")
I suspected as much. It matters not, so long as I get the Crystals.

The prince of Eblan and a skilled Ninja. He is quick to act on his emotions, but his strong sense of justice prevails.
Edge is rude, hotheaded and stubborn. He is mean and obnoxious to the party at first, but comes to appreciate their help over time. He has an unrequited crush on Rydia and flirts with other women occasionally, remarking that Rydia and Rosa make "two babes in the party". He has a short temper and uses his rage as a source of power.

Initially a Dark Knight and captain of the Red Wings of Baron, Cecil begins to question his king's motives, which sets off a chain of events that leads him on the path to righteousness.
Cecil is modest, shy, and insecure. He struggles with showing his emotions, and his meekness catches others off guard. Towards his friends, Cecil is loyal, self sacrificing and exceptionally forgiving, being able to forgive even those who betray him.

The commander of the Baron Dragoons, and Cecil and Rosa's childhood friend. He has a rivalry with Cecil and unrequited feelings for Rosa.
Kain is a calm, sometimes sarcastic young man. Kain's personality changes when he is possessed by Golbez, becoming cold towards Cecil, though his love for Rosa still shows.

Rosa is gentle and kind by nature. She is strong at heart, and takes care of the other party members.

A young summoner from the village of Mist. Cecil's need to protect her earns him a formidable ally on his quest.
At first, Rydia is devastated by her mother's death and is aggressive and withdrawn. Throughout the story, Rydia sees the world and matures. Introduced as a seven-year-old girl, at a certain point, Rydia undergoes a permanent physical change to a teenager/grown woman.
Voice type: Mid-High (able to voice a little girl and grown woman)

A master engineer who designed various airships for the Red Wings. He is a father figure to Cecil, Kain and Rosa. His airship, the Enterprise, is used by the party to travel around the world.
Cid is a loud and proud old man, boastful of his prowess with machines and of having the skill to back it up. Cid is a good man with a firm belief of right and wrong, and cares for Cecil and Rosa.
Voice type: Mid-High (looking for a southern twang OR a Scottish accent) - high energy

Taciturn, humble and polite, yet fiercely protective, Yang dislikes hurting others or involving them in dangerous situations, but is always grateful for assistance. His high standing in Fabul means that he has garnered much respect, and the only person he appears to fear is his own wife.

A young Black Mage in training from Mysidia. He and his twin sister Porom join Cecil on his journey after being sent to accompany him up Mount Ordeals.
Palom is a casual show-off, even to adults, and refers to himself as "The Mysidian Genius" or "Prodigy". This, combined with his inflated ego, causes him to get a little out of hand, leading to Porom having to settle him down, either with words or by smacking him on the head.

The main antagonist of Final Fantasy IV. He is a Lunarian who wants his brethren to come out of their long slumber and populate the Earth.
Zemus considers Lunarians the superior race in comparison to the Earthlings, and thus any coexistence between the two is impossible. He wants to take over the planet for his people by eradicating mankind.
