[Fandub] The World Ends With You

Project Overview

[Life is a game, and Neku Sakuraba is about to learn how true it is.]

Now open, a fun fandub project centered around the urban fantasy game "The World Ends With You!" This will be an unpaid project, all for fun, and all for sport (kinda), so put your hat in the ring and come join up to escape the Noise!

My only requirements: 

  • Try to have a decent working mic. I'm a bit guilty of sometimes having white noise, but if you're able to pull off some excellent quality with a Blue Yeti, more power to you!
  • Right now, I'm casting for main/major supporting characters, and as the list grows, I'll be having more auditions, so if you don't nail the part you want, don't fret, your time could come! Updates will come in the next week as the cast list begins to grow!
  • Do your best, and have fun!

    It took me a nice chunk of time, and the turnout was amazing, but I finally have the main cast! Here you have it!   • Just one more week!

    Uh oh. That means that the Reaper's Game is upon us, and casting call for the main cast will be ending soon. Will you prevail, or will you slip into darkness, where Neku will be reaching for your hand?

  • Progression

    So far, I'm excited to see that there's been so much circulation and auditions over the last couple of days! I enjoy listening to everyone, and I'm glad that you're all having fun with it! Tiny update here: I plan to open up a second casting call for more minor characters after this set closes, so if you don't happen to make the cut this time, give those a shot! Oh, and if you hadn't noticed, Uzuki isn't on the cast list. That's because she's reserved for me. :p I've always wanted to have the chance to play her. She was the first fandub role I ever got to audition for when I started voice work back in 2010, and I'm essentially going back to my roots. I'm excited to see who will get the role of Koki too, to see who will be the right-hand man in my plight~

Neku Sakuraba is the main protagonist of the game, and is not exactly a people person. At the start, he is very antisocial, always drowning himself in music. He is only fifteen, so his voice should represent that young, naive, yet angsty teen. Feel free to have your own swing at it!

Shiki Misaki is a young, impressionable and fashionable girl that wears her heart on her Mr. Mew plushie! Optimistic and a tad ditsy, she should sound the part for sure!

Wise for her age comes Rhyme, the logical half of her partnership with Beat. She is all too lovable and charming, but she's still pretty young and impressionable. Be sure to touch on her maturity when you audition for her!

If ever there were a character drenched in mystery, it's Joshua. Snarky and sarcastic, but witty and fun-loving, you never know what you'll get when you step in his path. He's an enigma, and ambiguous, and that should be clear in his role.
