Project Overview

About:

In a world with Vampires, Demons, and Soul Stealers, humans are a closely guarded secret. Only appearing in brief mythology Anna fell in love with the idea of these supposedly fictional beings. That is, of course, until two of them begin to live with her.

Eternal Dawn is a freeware duo-protagonist otome / drama with simple RPG battling elements. The VN switches between Anna and Alice’s perspective frequently as you determine their path during the linear plot.

Be warned that works will need to be in the game before April 1st as the visual novel is part of NaNoRenO. If we find a suitable voice, we will be casting right away. 

Preferably all voice actors should be over 18.


Romance info:

> Alice and Anna both have female and male romantic interests.

> Alice's romantic endeavors are implied all to be rather chaste.

> Romance routes are safe for work. Routes end in either a kiss, proposal, date or marriage. There will always be areas up to interpretation.

> Though it is classified as an otome, the romance comes second to the primary plot. Due to the scale of the project, there are only a few romantic events with the endings being the end goal.


Release Information:

The release date of the game is April 1st. The production is entirely classified as a freeware, meaning donations and payments will not / cannot be accepted. 

Because of the nature of the game, images will be released slowly through the month since the jam begins on March 1st.

Gotta keep these unified 

        > Her name is pronounced with "AH" as in Apple (Not "Aw" as in Almond) -- For those who are uncertain, Anna is pronounced Like this with an æ

    Hey there everyone! Thank you all for your amazing auditions so far. We've had a bunch of auditions for the boys that are honestly going to make it impossible to decide. As auditions go on, we notice trends that are due to lack of information on our end so we've updated a few audition sheets to account for it. Riley: Just a reminder (This is because of my email auditions, not so much on here) that we're not looking for a cis female to voice Riley nor are we looking for just any voice for her. We're specifically looking for a non-binary person, preferably with a similar identity as her. We're very adamant on giving this role to a trans person. If no non-binary person is found, she will go to unvoiced. Anabella: > Anabella now has a medium-high voice listing, as she's meant to be a preppy mean girl. Anna: > A few changes were made for clarity. Alice: > Alice's voice has been clarified. She's meant to sound very sweet but her words are venomous. She shouldn't have any sort of edge so she can be distinguished from Anabella. She's more grumbly than mean. Brandon: > One of Brandon's lines was fixed for flow. There was also a slight edit to specify his personality as being an outgoing energy rather than hyper. We've also added portraits for Anna, Alice, Bella and Kane so far. Role: Heroine (Romantic interests: Brandon, Kane, Anna) 

Character Trigger Warnings: Past abuse, infertility and Mental Health
Please be aware that you will be dealing with dialogue revolving around these topics. They are relatively implicit but still canon.

Alice's character largely revolves around mental health. It becomes clear that Alice struggles with her self-image and depression, to the point that other characters fear for herself. Alice has a burn on her shoulder from her past.


Voice & Personality:

Alice speaks sweetly to those she likes, but she can be grumbly when she has her guard up. People initially perceive her to be cute until she opens her mouth. Her voice should be medium-high tone, pleasant to listen to. The sweetness of her voice makes her insults offputting. She’s a bit grumbly and angst filled. Her voice should not be sharp sounding. She’s basically a ball of angst that can’t control her words, so just grumbles insults.

Story Blurb: 

Alice is one of the heroines and is the primary catalyst for most of the conflict of the story. She moves in with Anna's family, who soon discover that she's human. She appears docile but she's outspoken and rebellious, often to the point of being self-destructive. Though her reasoning is unknown she has a disdain towards Vampires.

NOTE:  Alice is required to record battle sound clips such as shouts, move titles etc. You may add these onto your audition if you wish. Please do make sure you are able to do these sound clips before you audition for the character.

  • [Angry / Upset / Heartbroken / Tearful] That was all I had! You ruined all that was left for me-- you took it away so you could be the moral hero of your story.  You did exactly what you set out to do. I hope it was worth it.

  • [Warmly / Internalizing] Those years took something from me that I never thought I’d find again.  I wish I could’ve told the past version of myself that it would be okay. Then again, I don’t know if she’d believe me.

Character Warnings: 

Anna uses the word b*tch as well as milder language such as 'hell' and 'damn'. Though these words are replaceable I would rather that you state beforehand if these make you uncomfortable so I can be prepared.


Voice & Personality:

Anna is bubbly and bright but also naive and ignorant. Animated and expressive she's charming but also can be a bit cartoonish. She gets annoyed sometimes, but is usually rather peppy. She's constantly salty that Alice doesn't like her. She should sound cheerful, but she also has her quiet moments as well. Anna should be likable but she's not always in the right. Her voice should be higher pitched, energetic and sweet sounding .


Story Blurb: 

Anna is a vampire and the second heroine of the story. Her romantic interests are primarily female though she does have male romantic endeavors. Anna is excited to have Alice and Brandon move in but quickly realizes that Alice doesn't like her.

Role:  Alice's Romantic Interest


Voice & Personality:

Kane appears stern and intimidating but he's genuinely a laid-back and nice guy.  He can be smooth talking but he can be rather lazy and has very little drive to actually follow up on any flirtations. His voice should be attractive sounding, lower and relatively cool. He should be able to comfort and calm others while still being somewhat mysterious and not yielding.  Kane also says rather funny things in a deadpanned delivery.

His voice should be a bit lower tone-wise.


Story Blurb: 

Kane is Anna's older brother and object of Alice and Bella's affection. He's a homemaker and enjoys doing domestic tasks, but he also likes to let loose and makes jokes to cheer others up. Kane is relatively a neutral figure in Anna and Alice's conflict. Though his POV is not shown, Kane is one of the primary characters of the story.

Role:  Alice's Romantic Interest, Friend; Anna's temporary romantic endeavor. 

RELATIONSHIP WARNING:

Alice and Brandon were family friends. Few years prior to the events of the story, Brandon loses everything and is taken in by Alice's mother. This is part of Alice's 'misfortune' as Brandon was the boy she liked as a teenager.  The two had feelings for each other but suppressed them to avoid complications. 


Voice & Personality:

> Boy next door / childhood friend type

Brandon is outgoing, friendly but also can get angry when the need arises. He enjoys cracking jokes to keep the mood light but can get annoyed or concerned rather easily.  He's energetic in his happy-go-lucky way but never gets hyper. He's always rather friendly and all-smiles.

His voice should sound like a typical anime hero or boy-next-door / childhood friend.


Story Blurb: 

Brandon is a human and Kane's friend. He and Alice go together to share a house with Kane's family, keeping the fact that he's human a secret from them. Alice is everything he has and he looks out for her when he can. Brandon begins to panic when Alice goes missing. He's a main character of the story, secondary to Alice and Anna but on par with Kane.

Character Gender: 

Riley is non-gender conforming / Non-Binary but kept her original pronouns (She/Her, still refers to herself as Anna's sister).   I would strongly prefer a person with a similar gender identity to voice her. (AFAB but non-binary) I may keep her unvoiced if it comes to it.

Riley is stoic but also can be playful. She works to help support her siblings and works with Kane to parent Anna. She's cool, calm and collected but also loves to tease and play with her younger sister.

Her voice should be calm, cool and a bit uptight sounding.

Riley is Anna's older sister/sibling. She has an off-screen girlfriend. She acts as the mediator between Alice and Anna and often steps up as the form of comfort and voice of reason.

Role: Anna's love Interest and best friend.


Character Warnings: 

Anabella is generally a toxic person with redeeming qualities. Bella is Anna's love interest, but learns to be a better person.

Bella, like the other characters, should be voiced by someone over the age of 18 because of her innuendos in her dialogue.


Voice & Personality:

Bella is alluring, confident and a little bit mean. She gets her way one way or another, no matter what it takes. She has no filter when it comes to her friends but tends to play a more attractive persona when around someone she likes. Anna is one of the few people Bella trusts and lets her guard down. 

Her voice should be higher pitched and mean-girl like.


Story Blurb: 

Anna's best friend and romantic interest, Bella is known for being one of the most sought-after women by men everywhere. She's become recognized as a heart breaker, but can't seem to get the one man she actually likes: Anna's older brother Kane. Bella has villainous qualities, but is often foiled by Anna. Even though she has romantic interests in Kane, Bella realizes that her infatuation was to get closer to Anna.

If she still refuses, we learn every single detail about her life and watch as the light drains from her eyes as we spread the darkest secrets to the ones she loves!

Kierce is a flirt and a tease. He's alluring and likable and doesn't get angry easily. He's quick to bounce back and rarely shows vulnerability. When he's not being a sleaze, he's generally a nice and cheerful young man.
