Premise:
Follow the story of the Oni Huntress, Yeo-Jin Hong, (as heard and seen in Project Gnosis) as we learn more about her past through a series of journal entries she wrote. Meet the people she used to know before she became the huntress in the present.
Featuring an eclectic cast of characters both human and nonhuman in a future where mythology and cyberpunk crossover.
Though a kinetic visual novel as it is part of a canon in the Project Gnosis universe, we will have elements that will make this journey interesting for readers.
Note: This part of the audition is for the first three or four chapters of the Visual Novel. More casting calls will be available for future chapters as they are produced.
Yeo and Zetsuna, who are major characters in the story have been cast. But there's plenty of room for side characters that have yet to auditioned.
Requirements:
Please submit clean recordings on prosumer mics (no air conditioners in the background, no fans -- we don't mind performing noise reduction on your files, however too much clean-up reduces the quality of your voice). And speaking of clean-up -- please let us handle the post-production.
Feel free to cut your lines to your best/favorite takes. Three is the gold standard. We have a few voice actors who would rather give us more takes, and that's okay, too. However please at least remove the takes you don't want to be featured on the VN.
Please submit your recordings as one .wav file on Discord or the email, which will be provided to you after casting. If a file is too large to submit via email, we prefer to use WeTransfer or Google Drive.
We do occasionally ask for line re-dos, but we do this sparingly and only after great consideration - we realize your time is valuable, and we won't ask for anything we can't work around in edits.
We do table reads to review any chapters so VAs understand the dynamics they may have with their characters. So participation on Discord is heavily encouraged. Discord is required to join this project.
We have contracts that are required to be signed to ensure that we are all on the same page and to ensure miscommunication doesn't affect the production.
- Since it deals with mature themes, this will be a +18 and up project. However, it will not be an NSFW type of project. But I prefer only 18 and up apply.
Casting will last for one month, and we guarantee no audition will close until the deadline for the casting call on CCC.
THIS IS A PAID PROJECT.
As planned, the main roles (which have mostly been filled in the previous season) will be given a flat rate for each contribution per chapter of which there are 12.
As for side or extra roles, that'll be done per 10 cents a word for each chapter as a whole, since we were able to calculate the total for each one. And it adds up big time. Some round up to the close tens digit. So most extra or side roles will be at least over 20$ or above through the visual novel chapters.
Payment will be received after lines are submitted and reviewed, preferably through PayPal. If you can't use PayPal in your country, talk to us about your circumstances and we will be happy to accommodate.
Expect incoming updates about roles or any changes to the casting call should something come up.
