Project Overview
"DEATH COMES SKIING" GAME SYNOPSIS:
Casting voice actors for DEATH COMES SKIING, a point-and-click murder mystery game coming out in 2026. It has a fairly small cast of characters, the main ones being the player character, a teenage girl detective, and five old men, a retired Olympic ski team that gets murdered one by one. There are also a couple of smaller roles, all of which are listed below.

It's a comedic game with cartoony visuals, so some level of funny exaggeration is good for the voice acting; expressive and lively, but with clear delivery and focus on the content. Stylistically, the storytelling is somewhere in the realm of adult animated TV shows, so be prepared for dark humor, social satire, some rude language and references to drugs and alcohol.
There are no strict accent demands. The dialogue is in English, but the story is set in Finland and the characters are Finnish, so any accent is equally out of place. The dialogue includes some Finnish names and short Norwegian phrases, but knowledge of those languages is not needed.
BUDGET / WORK AMOUNT:The pay is negotiable and all kinds of rates will be considered! Of course, the pay depends on the size of the role, the girl detective main character being by far the biggest one.
I'm a solo developer with no outside funding, but I hope to be able to pay enough to keep people happy. Still, the budget is somewhere in hundreds of euros / dollars, not thousands.
The descriptions below contain the approximate amount of dialogue for each character. The roles will be filled as soon as suitable voices are found. Looking forward to hearing from you!

A teenage girl detective. Smart, sometimes excited, often sarcastic, but not too exaggerated, mostly matter-of-factly; as the main character she talks all the time, so constant overacting would get annoying for the player. Not too child-like, more like a teenager; a sort of tomboy-ish voice might also work for the character but a more typical girl voice is certainly also good.

That smell... I smell bitter almond, but those drinks are mostly just tequila with gold flakes in it! I've read enough detective novels to know that's what cyanide smells like!
That's the fish tank where the ski team's mascot lives. Grandfather still replaces the fish every time one dies. Old habits die hard... Unlike those goldfish.
The Finnish people demanded too much of their ski heroes and drove them to insanity and pharmaceutical hysteria! The whole population has blood on their hands... And that blood ain't clean!
A suspicious old man who often leaves things unsaid like he has something hide. A smart man who's used to pulling the strings while others do the work. Sometimes friendly, sometimes a bit angry; calm with occasional sneaky undertones, but not an exaggerated villain voice.

I was the coach of the ski team. It's an important job, but I'm hopeless on the skis myself. No, I'll just follow the others on a snowmobile and shout instructions, so they'll give their everything.
Unlike these guys, I don't touch alcohol. Not since the accident... That's why I'm only drinking cough syrup. It keeps me healthy and cough-free!
It's just normal ski coach equipment. Nothing that should interest children, the law enforcement, or governing bodies of sports competitions!
A foolish old man, the numbskull of the group. An ex-athlete who has never known anything but skiing and doesn't care about much else. Possibly a bit of a "country bumpkin" accent. Often confused, sometimes confidently wrong about things. A fairly exaggerated, comedic performance.

My genetic roots are here in the north, among the snow and the reindeer! This is where skiing was invented. It's part of my heritage!
How should I know? I don't speak any Norwegian. Something about death and dying... They're a grim bunch up there in the fjords.
I've seen blizzards as thick as oatmeal, hailstones as big as human babies... Surely ice can also spontaneously explode?
A calm, deep and intelligent voice, ranging from a warm and friendly grandfather to more conspiratorial undertones and even an angry and threatening voice. Can sound a bit like Santa Claus, an old wizard, or Sean Connery or something.

I moved to this mountain for its unparalleled skiing conditions, and I know you're itching to hit the slopes and plow that snow! You better go get ready, so you can still experience the scenic ski trails before the night falls and the snow leopards come out.
A long-term alcoholic, an ex-athlete who has spent the decades following his skiing career mostly drinking – and should sound like it. A very rough voice. He is also drinking throughout the story, so he should sound more or less drunk all the time, while still keeping the dialogue understandable. Sometimes a bit angry or annoyed, but mostly talking in a fairly calm way, just drunk.

An old man who sees himself as a smooth-talking playboy; egoistic, shallow and dumb, but also famous, and he knows that people will treat him with respect because of it. Can sound friendly and generous, but in a condescending way, acting superior to everyone else. A calm and smooth speaker, but with a constant humble-brag vibe.

Yes. He was going on about the "living dead" and whatnot... Now, I assume it was all drunken delirium, but we decided to come check the situation anyway.
We took the reindeer. It's more effective than a cop car in these mountains.
Authoritative and no-nonsense, but not unfriendly or angry. Not a weak voice; quite manly and confident, although not always smart. Voice can be a bit gritty, but not too much. A slight accent (maybe Irish or American) might work for the character, but is not a necessity.

But he shot my gun down the well! I'm not used to criminals doing that. This wasn't covered in basic training!

Afraid but relieved, a woman who's just been rescued from a dangerous situation. Fairly quiet and sounds a bit shaken, but not too whimpering.
