Choose-Your-Adventure Video Game

Choose-Your-Adventure Video Game

Project Overview

Hello! We are a small team of indie game developers working on an as-yet unannounced visual novel-style project. We are currently seeking a narrator to provide voice-over for our prologue section, with the possibility of extending that role to the full game.

We are looking for clean, high-quality audio that is game-ready with minimal additional audio tweaking required. The prologue consists of approximately 1200 words.

The story/narrative is aimed toward a middle-grade audience (though suitable for adults as well) and contains themes of adventure, excitement, and mystery. There is no NSFW content or cursing/adult language.

This is a paid role, with a fixed rate of $60 USD for the prologue, paid through Paypal upon completion of the final draft of the audio. Some editing/audio direction/retakes may be required.

Role assigned to: aleannb00394

This is the role of the narrator, who reads the on-screen text as one might read a book to an audience.

The narrator needs to capture the tone of each part of the story; an engaging voice that carries the reader along will be highly prioritized. Some parts may be calm, others frightening, exciting, funny, etc.

Though we are looking primarily for a feminine tone for this role, others will be considered if they seem a good fit.

  • It’s summer break, and your parents have decided to leave you with your grandparents for a week. An entire week! On a mountain in -the middle of nowhere.-

  • As you step out of the car, the gravel crunches beneath your feet. You look towards the store. On the fence beside it you see a black cat, staring at you, its green eyes unblinking. Even more strange, it looks like there’s a key hanging from its collar.

  • A young red-headed boy stands before you, dressed in run-down overalls with a patch on one knee, over top a (slightly) grubby t-shirt. This kid looks… wild. His eyes, too.
