C&C Tiberian Sun: Re-Energized: Part 2
Project Overview
What's the project about?
Good day! My name is Marius, I'm the director of Flatlight Productions. We're a small team which focuses on re-dubbing and improving old games.
This project's main purpose is to upgrade the voice acting and cutscene quality to today's standards. Unlike Red Alert 2, Tiberian Sun has aged a whole lot worse than Red Alert & Yuri's Revenge. It will need a whole lot of surgery to make it stand up to Red Alert 2.
Our plans for approaching Tiberian Sun:
1. The Voice acting -
Voice acting is really weak, (most likely rushed, judging from how different the voicing quality looks in the cutscenes, versus the quotes we hear in-game by characters) and we plan to completely overhaul most of the smaller role voices & adding brand new voices for each unit, like we did with Red Alert 2. Though we will be looking to keep the original feel of the cutscene voices.
2. Cutscenes -
Once again, Tiberian Sun has aged a whole lot in this front as well. We'll be upscaling the videos via trained AI to 4k and provide burned subtitles, re-dubbing them as well, since we get an opportunity to completely re-do (almost) everything.
3. Graphics -
We will be reworking some of the graphics to make them look slightly better.
4. Cut Content
Most of the cut content is actually almost finalized and ready for the public. So, we'll be adding back the cut units and features, whilst also trying to make the game mechanics feel more-like Red Alert 2. (For example; building queues increased from 5 to 30, like in RA2.)
5. New Content
Expect brand new units and buildings being added to the game.
Requirements:
- Good CCC profile & reputation as a voice actor. Having recommendations & an large portfolio on CCC is a big plus. Having an empty portfolio and or empty profile is unlikely to get you cast.
- Discord. Unfortunately, messaging everyone CCC isn't convenient and is quite difficult, especially for a large-scale project such as this one.
- Be at your best when you audition. Make sure you are in the mood to audition, give the best of yourself, as your audition will represent the skills that you have.
- XLR microphone with good sound treatment. However, for those with a lower budget, a USB mic might do the trick if you have decent sound-proofing, or if you don't have such luxury, just record under a blanket, always does the trick. I don't expect you to have an expensive Neumann mic or something of that range, but an AT2020 or NT1A with sound proofing would be better than a Yeti or a Snowball.
- Sportsmanlike behavior. I expect every single voice actor to treat each other and everyone else with respect. Staying honest and working together is important for the project.
- Working with tight deadlines. Make sure you are available to record the lines in a short deadline. Failing to send the lines on time or deciding to leave the project without a fair reason will get you permanently rejected from my projects.
I don't recommend:
Slating your auditions. It's unnecessary.
Doing multiple takes in your auditions unless the line performance differs from the first take. I usually listen up-to a minute before making a decision.
I recommend:
Checking out the C&C wiki for more information on the units, characters, backstories since C&C series are quite huge.

Slavik: I stand here, the leader of the Black Hand of Nod. Watch, and judge wisely.
Footage plays of Slavik's rivals being assassinated.
Slavik: You were saying gentlemen?
Inner Circle member 2: What do you want Slavik?
Marzaq: Don't pander to this madman! We are the heirs of Nod. Slavik has proven time and again to be-
Slavik: Be careful the next word you say, Marzaq. Would sadden me to lose your support. Gentlemen, we are the Brotherhood. We must stand together. This is how Kane would have decreed.
Marzaq: Your murderous tendencies solved nothing, Slavik. There is no Brotherhood without a leader, and you are not that leader.
The four Inner Circle members end their transmissions.
Slavik: Your recent assignments have gained your promotion, Commander. As you can see, there are those who have forgotten the code of the Brotherhood, and they gain in numbers fracturing the heart of Nod. The men you killed today are just a handful. We need order: CABAL. The Brotherhood needs CABAL. CABAL is order. CABAL is the Hand of Kane. CABAL's data core much like our Brotherhood has been fractured. Infiltrate the GDI base at the Cairo site and recover CABAL's core. Now go.
CABAL: Encrypted databurst downloading...
Kane: The underground hangar you're about to enter houses an alien warship constructed at the end of the last war. The technology in this ship is more valuable to the Brotherhood than anything that has come before. Return it to me in Cairo.
The Montauk arrives at the hangar. The hangar doors open. Slavik gets up from his seat to examine. The hangar is empty.
Slavik: There's no warship here.
Oxanna: It's gone!
Pilot: Incoming emergency message.
Vega: Slavik, are you getting this?
Nod scout: The ship is immobilized, sir! Vega's men are ready to blow down the sinkhole.
Kane: And the Tacitus?
Scout: There is no sign of the object which you described, sir.
Kane: The Tacitus is the source, Slavik. Its Tiberium secret can make or break empires. Find it.
Slavik: Locate that Tacitus, soldier... or I will bury your team in that hole.
Scout: Yes sir!... Hang on sir, there's movement here...
The scout gets his neck snapped by an assailant. Slavik gets up from his seat to examine.
Oxanna: CABAL, replay.
Slavik: Detail. Frame forward. Cycle.
Oxanna: Freeze. Extrapolate for missing data.
The attacker is revealed to be Umagon.
Oxanna: Mutants...
Slavik: CABAL. How do we find her?
CABAL: Probability suggests she will return to the GDI medical colony near Provo, or into the underground railroad here near New Detroit. The decision is yours, Commander Slavik.
Chandra: Forward scout reporting in from Sector 9. No sign of Vega and his men but they found something.
Scout: I've never seen anything like it sir, it's easily the size of one of our carriers but...
Michael McNeil: But what?
Scout: I don't think humans made this, sir.
McNeil: Pull back, soldier! We're closing in on the site now! What'd sat recon tell us?
Scout: From what we can tell sir, the ship's been booby-trapped. Various C4 charges blew a sinkhole into the thing. This should've crumbled... it didn't even scratch. And uh sir, I know this may sound strange but, some of the men - they hear something inside. We just... we get the feeling we're not alone here.
Michael McNeil: With all due respect, we talking aliens here, sir?
James Solomon: As soon as we get inside that thing, the sooner we'll know what the hell we're talking about! That UFO's got secrets, Mac. Secrets Kane did not want to share. Take that craft at all costs.
James Solomon: Goddammit! Makes no sense, hotspots everywhere. Why Southwest Sector 9?
Personnel: Someone's jamming the secure channel sir.
GDI soldier: Not a lot of civilians on the evac shuttle, sir. [Interference] ...But these are some scary looking shiners...
Umagon: Kane's been using Tiberium to manipulate their DNA for cyborg production.
GDI soldier: They say they had some information on an underground Nod power station that leads to the Tiberium missiles array. [Interference] Sir, they're ready to fight!
McNeil: We'll, we should give 'em a chance to a little payback. Set 'em up, we'll go up to the supply base! We'll find out about this power grid...
Say again Southern Cross, you're breaking up! We're under heavy sniper fire, but the data matrix and Kane's are ready- [static]
EVA: Accessing... video com sat uplink signal lost. Searching...
The Kodiak arrives at the Cairo base. The Tacitus is loaded onto the ship. Weather conditions worsen.
GDI personnel: The package is being loaded. Repeat, the package is being loaded! HURRY- [static]
Some random guy wearing a science lab coat. The real owner of the coat, Dr. Bernie, is being held captive in his basement.
He's weak, but can capture buildings like an engineer. You receive him whenever your buildings blow up.

Back to the lab!
I'm dying for science
This was not smart
Who's idea was this?
Initiates are primarily disillusioned (or possibly ecstatic) men and women who have suffered from harsh lives in Yellow Zones and have been attracted to service in the Nod armed forces by the latter's relief efforts. The use of initiates plays an important role for Nod, the inevitable product of the "Control The Media, Control The Mind" social doctrine, with commanders preferring to sacrifice their militant auxiliaries rather than endanger the thin ranks of the surviving Nod regulars and "true believers" .

The elite cadre are a type of advanced Nod infantry appearing in Firestorm.
Very little is known about the elite cadre, other than that they were elite soldiers of the Brotherhood of Nod and were better armed and equipped than the standard Light infantry. Since CABAL took control of all of Nod's cyborgs after its betrayal, these soldiers were deployed to fill the gap of advanced infantry during the final assault on CABAL's true core.

The Fanatics are suicide bomber infantry squads of the Brotherhood of Nod,.
Members of the Brotherhood that are most devoted to its cause are called fanatics and with good reason - they are willing to sacrifice their lives to allow Nod's mission to succeed. Just before heading off on their mission, they perform their last rituals in the Hand of Nod.

Weed eaters were a specialized variant of the harvester created by Nod during the Second Tiberium War and the Firestorm Crisis.
Essentially a lightweight combine harvester on a tracked chassis, it is designed for collecting veins from veinholes and delivering them to the Tiberium Waste Facility for processing into chemical missile payloads.
The weed eater is basically a overhauled harvester, meant to collect the vein appendages of a veinhole, and is the only unit in the game that can do this. Weed Eaters have similar armour, health, and speed as a regular harvester and are required to fuel the Nod chemical missile.
Selected:
Got some weed to eat?
Ready to work.
Need to kill some weed?
Moving:
We move!
Onward to glory!
Terror sweep the land!
The crystals move with us!
The Cyborg Reaper is a special cyborg created by Nod by the time of the Firestorm Crisis.
The Cyborg Reaper's existence was considered merely a rumour by the time of the Second Tiberium War. Nod secretly designed the Reapers, with very few people aware of the project. When CABAL started a rebellion against Nod and GDI during the Firestorm Crisis, all cyborgs, including the never before used Reapers, pledged their allegiance to CABAL, ignoring Nod authority completely.
CABAL used reapers to abduct humans, so that they could be turned into more cyborgs to fuel its war machine. Reapers were ideally suited to the task as they possessed web launchers ideal for capturing humans, while also possessing rocket launchers that allowed then to defend themselves against any type of threat, land or air.

The mobile war factory and the Fist of Nod are special units in Firestorm that allow GDI and Nod commanders, respectively, to produce units close to the battlefield or wherever they needed them.
The unit was about as heavy as a mobile construction vehicle so it could only move very slowly around the battlefield and was unarmed, hence it required escorts. However, it was heavily armoured, and able to withstand light attacks. GDI could use Orca Carryalls to transport these units about the battlefield, ensuring a steady supply of replacement units as and where they needed to enable GDI to more effectively project firepower when needed on short notice.
When deployed, it was a fully functional war factory capable of producing all units in GDI and Nod arsenals, respectively.
Selected:
How ya goin’?
Put a sock in it!
What is it, mate?
Hey mate, how are ya?
G'day.
Moving:
She’ll be apples.

The Core Defender was a massive walker developed by CABAL to protect its own core. It was seen during the final battles of the Firestorm Conflict.
The Core Defender was an extremely advanced walker, equipped with incredibly durable armor and armed with a pair of powerful laser cannons. It was used by CABAL as the last line of defense for its core. At first, it took the form of a large structure, its true nature was only revealed after the Firestorm defense around CABAL's core was deactivated and CABAL ordered its activation.

My power is unmatched.
Nothing stands against me.

You are short sighted.

Pitiful.
The Subterranean Armoured Personnel Carrier was a transport vehicle of the Brotherhood of Nod during the Second Tiberium War and the Firestorm Conflict.
In order to keep a low profile from GDI detection, these APCs are capable of travelling underground by tunnelling through the soil in order to reach far away locations, making them effective heavy assault carriers for Nod personnel. They are equipped with heavy drills that allow them to move beneath the surface of the earth. This allows it to bypass enemy defenses and fortifications, ambush enemies and avoid Tiberium that would pose a risk to the health of the soldiers inside.
After the Firestorm Conflict, the APCs were replaced by the Reckoners.
Selected:
Ready to drill deep.
Who needs a drilling?
Polished and ready.
Waiting on you, chief.
We have everybody?
Moving:
Let's roll!
Buckle up.
Gotta keep moving.
Hang tight.

You're drilling too deep!
Gotta get outta here!
We got enemies!
Armor's holding, for now!
The Black Hand were elite soldiers from the Brotherhood of Nod's Black Hand. They served as the Brotherhood's shock troops during the Third Tiberium War and the conflicts that led to it.
The Black Hand was originally founded as a form of religious police tasked with enforcing adherence to the teachings of Kane. However, the cult later grew to become a powerful and influential religious group that operated mostly in secret. This changed after the Second Tiberium War, when Kane disappeared. A high-ranking member of the Black Hand, Anton Slavik, rose to power within the Brotherhood and revealed himself as a Black Hand prelate.
Selected:
The Black Hand is in control.
The Black Hand awaits.
They will fear us!
There is work to be done.
One vision, one purpose!
Moving:
Take the area!

Attacking:
Enemies of Kane!
Pursue them!

They oppose Kane!
The Mammoth tank, also known as Mammoth Mk. I, is a GDI heavy tank that appears in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm.
After the First Tiberium War, these tanks were phased out of service in favor of the new Mammoth Mk. II walkers. Some of them were used as targets for weapons testing by GDI and Nod. The Forgotten also used several of these vehicles in their arsenal.
The Mammoth tank is armed with a pair of powerful cannons and anti-air missiles. It is also extremely durable and also has the ability to self-repair to 50% health (though it cannot do so if its health is less than 4%). Its greatest weakness is its very slow speed, which can leave it vulnerable to enemy artillery and stationary defenses.

Mammoth, ready for action!

It's an infantry unit, that COULD be called a Zone Trooper and is strongly based on StarCraft's Terran Marine, but it will fit like a Zone Trooper, since both are similar in concept.
