DELTARUNE | A Fan-Made Minecraft Roleplay
Who are you?Hello! My name is Rexiipher, or Rex for short. I'm a Minecraft Roleplay content creator on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@rexiipher) and a live streamer on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/rexiipher). I consistently upload and stream, and I really enjoy producing Minecraft Roleplay content. The video provided with this project posting is an example of my work, though a lot of videos on my channel also showcase multiple longstanding stories.
What is this project?"DELTARUNE" is a YouTube-exclusive MCRP that aims to bring the story of Toby Fox's masterwork of a game to Minecraft in a story-based cinematic format. The current aim is to produce a fresh retelling of the first chapter, but if it is successful, I will continue with further iterations of the story.
Since this is a fanwork of DELTARUNE, we hope that those who audition are fans of the game themself, especially if they plan on auditioning for a main character role. Seeing as this is a fanwork, there is PLENTY of preexisting lines and scenes from the game to reference as background for character personalities and speech patterns. I HIGHLY recommend doing your research before you audition!
I also plan on casting roles that are not listed below. There's a good chance that if you don't get cast for a character here, you may still be cast as a different character, a minor role, or an extra.
This series will be done in full on my YouTube channel, so expect a full commitment if you audition for this project. Additionally, lead actors MUST be able to play Minecraft: Java Edition to be considered for certain roles. This is due to the somewhat improv-style of production we maintain.
What are the requirements for this project?Leading Actors (Susie, Ralsei, and Lancer) MUST be capable/willing to bodyact their characters in Minecraft: Java Edition. If you cannot play Minecraft, you will NOT be considered for these roles.
You must have a proper microphone with minimal background noise. I'm not picky about the microphone that you use, so long that your quality is fine.
You must have Discord and be willing to join a Discord studio server.
You must be committed for the long term. I do not desire to recast my characters, so if you audition, you must be fully prepared to voice that character for the foreseeable future.
You must meet deadlines. Deadlines may be short at times, but I will strive to give you approximately a week before submission is necessary. However, if you have to go on vacation or are sick, I will work with you to sort it out.
When Auditioning:
Feel free to introduce yourself briefly. I like getting to know who I may be working with. It's not a requirement, however.
Try to include 2-3 takes for each line, with variations in each take. You may vary your voice or emotion in your interpretation of the character.
Feel free to adlib at the end, if you so desire.
If I cast you for a role, I will contact you through Casting Call Club and invite you to the studio Discord.
If you're cast for a role that is not listed on this page, I will try to contact you through Casting Call Club, Twitter (if you have a Twitter provided on your page) or Discord (if one is provided).
I may add more roles if I deem it necessary. Please keep an eye on this page for any updates.

Susie is strong, rebellious, and a bit intimidating on the outside, but more kind and vulnerable on the inside. At first, she's much rougher and a bit of a loner. She's a bully and aggressive or rude towards most of the characters. However, as she starts to open up to the main cast, she starts to show her softer side. She genuinely cares for her friends, even if she still teases them from time to time.
I'm looking for a low-to-mid vocal range with a bit of huskiness and gravel. Being very much a tomboy-ish character, a performance that can depict Susie's bully-like, "mean girl" energy would be the most effective. Susie exhibits a WIDE range of emotions, so you MUST be capable of shouting and yelling.

Alright, Ralsei (Ral-say). You got it. I’ll change my ways. From now on, I won’t be such a rotten hero anymore. I’ll just be one of the BAD GUYS instead!
DAMN IT, KRIS! WHERE THE HELL ARE WE??
Ralsei is a very kind and friendly prince of the dark. He's very loyal and focused on solving problems peacefully, and always with a smile on his face. Ralsei often acts as the voice of reason, and seems to be at his happiest when his friends are also happy. Should the situation call for it, however, Ralsei will drop his carefully-maintained approachable persona and take things seriously if it means protecting his friends!
Ralsei has a very soft voice of a medium-to-high pitch. More often than not, he's happily or meekly offering wisdom or bantering with his friends, and his voice is easily overpowered. However, there are times where the situation is dire, and Ralsei steps up to the occasion--shouting and fighting as seriously and fervently as his companions! As such, a Ralsei voice actor MUST be capable of shouting and yelling.

Lancer is a very silly and childish young boy who's the self-proclaimed "bad guy" of Chapter 1. He's not actually imposing at all, and his antics often lead to hilarity rather than true danger. In truth, he's just a young boy who doesn't know what it's like to have friends, but is very goofy, energetic, and loyal to those he grows to care about.
Lancer's voice is very much on the younger side, but not necessarily a small child's. Rather, try to imagine a kid with a clown voice, and that's fairly accurate to our vision for Lancer. His voice should sound goofy, bubbly, and almost cartoonish, while still maintaining his evident youth.

Yikes! I think someone needs a time out! Go to your room, Dad!
Noelle is friendly and cheerful, but also very timid, and sometimes has trouble voicing her thoughts. She apologizes often and stays quiet about her feelings out of fear. She’s typically more true to herself around Kris, and isn't afraid to show her more weird/nerdy side with them. But around others, she's often awkwardly smiling or nervously trying to navigate encounters as politely as she can.
Noelle should have a soft and delicate voice, medium-to-high pitch, that's maybe a little squeaky when she gets nervous. The ability to yell and scream is very important--especially when she's screaming in fear.

Berdly is sarcastic, arrogant, and considers himself one of the smartest students in his class. He shows disdain towards his peers who are “lower IQ” than him, but has respect for Noelle, whom he considers the smartest in class. Despite his ego, he’s not as smart as he says he is. Berdly is also a huge video game nerd, but despises mobile games.
Berdly has a medium-to-high pitch voice, with a bit of nasal to embody his sheer nerdiness. His tone is not meek--he's a gamer with pride, and he speeks loudly, proudly, and clearly.

King is a cold-hearted, power-hungry Darkner with little compassion towards his subjects and only considers his own wishes. He’s intimidating and strong and isn’t afraid to hurt others to get what he wants. He has a strong disdain towards the Lightners and believes they’re enemies to him and the other Darkners.
King has a low, gravelly, and imposing voice. He's a very sadistic and cruel character, and if he isn't bellowing angrily, he's laughing mockingly at his victims. A good performance has a deep, commanding voice that strikes fear into the hearts of the audience.

Rouxls is the so-called Duke of Puzzles, and attempts to stop the party by forcing them to solve his puzzles (very bad puzzles for that matter). He’s very egotistical and over the top in his mannerisms. He could come off as irritating to most at first but deep down he has a heart of gold, especially with caring for Lancer.
He speaks in an Early Modern English dialect. Similar to Shakespeare's plays. However, when distressed, he may drop the act entirely and speak in a more normal dialect.
Rouxls should have a medium-pitched, loud, dramatic, and maybe a bit posh voice. Being a comedic relief character, an effective performance is one that can make every line of his entertaining and humorous.

Seam is a wise old shopkeeper with a very nihilistic outlook. They don’t care if the world ends, and seem to have already accepted the inevitability of it. They have experienced a lot throughout their many years, the good and the bad. They hold many secrets and stories of the world and share them with the heroes. They give off the typical wise old wizard/quest giver vibes from a classic RPG.
Seam should sound a bit like a grandpa, with evident age in their voice at a medium-to-low pitch. They speaks fairly softly, with reserved emotion.

Jevil is a very “eccentric” individual. Having gone insane after meeting a “strange someone,” he was locked away in a cell. Despite being the one locked away, he claims he is the one who is truly free while everyone else is trapped in a cage. His dialogue is rife with maniacal laughter, repeated words, rambling puns, and strange sentences, and he has a sadistic sense of entertainment.
