Project Overview
Greetings and Salutations!
This casting call is for the very first episode of a project we have been working on for quite some time now!
We are finally ready to find our crew and bring our little creation to life!
📖 STORY 📖
This series takes place in 18th century England, during the golden age of piracy.
"Our story starts when Miss Charlotte Avarice, a young girl who wants nothing more than her freedom, joins up with the infamous pirate captain Blackjack and her crew, to sail across the ocean to meet with her lover. However when things take an unexpected turn, Charlotte finds herself joining the very ship and crew who helped her. Join them as they sail across the seas and stumble upon adventure. While Charlotte slowly uncovers the secrets of the captain and her ship."
❔ WHAT TO EXPECT ❔
This project is an original series and has been written by the members of The Whole Gang.
Expect a welcoming, exciting, and collaborative environment!
While we are very relaxed and easy going people, we will be giving criticism and direction where needed.
We will set soft deadlines, but also try to account for our crew's personal schedules to a reasonable extent.
Please note, this will be an Unpaid Project.
However, we may decide to pay artists.

We hope that if you are chosen to be apart of our little crew, you enjoy being apart of it! After all that is why we are here at the end of the day.
🎙️ Voice Actors 🎙️
The voice is one of the most important things in a character. Only by hearing a voice, you may be able to understand what the character feels, or how the character usually behaves. Emotion is one of the many precious keys that form a character.
- Be dedicated through the project!
We would like you to understand that, many of these characters will come back in
future episodes, or be a vital part of the project, meaning you may be able to stay with us for a
long time moving forwards.
- Please, audition with as little background noise as possible!
- All accents are welcomed!
While some characters may be listed having a set accent, eg British. Every accent will be welcomed and considered in this project.
- You may Audition (and be casted) as 1 or more characters.
We have a variety of many different and fun characters! You can, if you desire, audition for one or more of them, and possibly be cast as more than one!
📖 Artists📖
Now whether this project will only have one piece of art per episode or somewhere around five or six, all depends on you! We know how much work goes into a single piece of artwork, so depending on the volume of people interested, that will determine weather this is a purely Audio based drama, or a visual audio drama.

Auditions will be closed, 1st of October 2022.
A Discord account is mandatory to partake in the project.
As per Discord's TOS (Terms of Service), you must be at least 13 years old to audition. NO EXCEPTIONS.
if you're willing, please include your Discord username (example: username#0000) in the Audition's description. This is not required, but allow us to contact you more easily if you are casted!

The young lovestruck lass, who flees the tight grip of her father to search for the one guy who means more to her than anything else. Charlotte is optimistic, bright eyed, and a tad naïve.
High pitch-Medium tone, Possibly British, but any accent could work
“I know right? Did you see their faces! Well, I didn't, but can you imagine their faces?”
(This line should come across just super happy, and slightly surprised)
“Well Lyds, you know that closet of old gaunts that I still have? Well, I thought, since I don't wear them anymore, why not put them to use. So I stitched a bunch of them together with some very strong cross-stitches, dangled them from my balcony, and climbed down. And since it was so dark outside, the guards saw me wayyy too late. I’d be in big trouble if they caught me, but they didn’t and now I’m here.”
(Charlotte is explaining how she escaped to Lydia, her best friend, albeit not in a very calm nor slow manner)
“More ships? We can’t possibly take them all! Captain??? What do we do???”
(“Captain how in the heck do we not die” vibes, very loud, yelling)

The proud captain of The Hooker. Tough as nails and will definitely feed you to the sharks if you so much as touch a hair on any of her crew's precious heads. Much more to her then meets the eye

“Right, you might intimidate a seagull with that. Tell me, sunshine, have you ever even touched a sword?”
(This line should come across somewhat playful, a little sassy)
“Alright lads! Nobody touches my ship or crew! Otherwise this lassie gets it!”
(Sounds threatening. Very loud, yelling.)
“Look, George and I go way back, thus that is a me problem, so don’t bother making it a you problem.”
(Sound irritated)

The muscles of the Hooker. Helga can easily bench press any of the crew members. She’s a hard worker who wants to help out anywhere she can, although she can be a little awkward and blunt socially.

“Don’t you touch a hair on his head!”
(Angry, threatening, and a bit desperate)
“HA, look at those bastards running, they don’t stand a chance against us.”

The quartermaster, first mate, and carpenter of the Hooker. Out of everyone, Clyde has been on the ship the longest. He’s a scruffy and kinda grumpy guy, but he cares deeply for his crewmates, taking an almost fatherly role to Nico.
Low gruff voice.
“Heh, you did a fine job lad. Now back to the nest, we’re almost ready to set sail.”
(Clyde praising Marcel, in his monotone way of speaking)
“Hard to tell, but that storm seems like a big one. We might be able to sail around its core.”
(Calm cool collected )
“All hands on deck! Storm incoming! Batten down the hatches, stow away the topsails!”
(Big storm, much danger, much hustle, very loud yelling)

Marcel is the Hookers lookout boy, he usually sits in the crow's-nest with his pet bird, or helps with the sails. He’s a jolly guy who left behind his fancy life for adventure.

(This line should come across somewhat jokingly )
“CAPTAAAAAAIN! Blockade! Dead ahead!”

“And there was this one time when we were chased by a royal navy ship, and it was really scary, but captain Jacklyn lured it into shallow water and it got stuck, and then Clyde shot the masts clean off and it was really cool!”

“That girl, what does she think she is doing?! Lincoln, we have to act now! Gather your men, and do something! To hell with the consequences!”

(Yelling out menacingly)

“And so I come home, and what do ya know? That cat is sitting there again, looking straight into my eyes. It was like he knew I just went to the market, and was expecting me, waiting for his time to strike, and steal my salmon.”

(This line should definitely have some excitement.)
“Well, well, well, Captain Blackjack, and... lady Avarice! Two birds, one stone! The captain will be proud of me.”
(He’s proud, but also a bit surprised.)
“She sure is a quick little devil sir… Where the hell did she go?! She was right there!”
(He should sound a little out of breath, and slightly frustrated or confused.)

“Hear me out… We all heard about Avery, attacked a convoy of 25, and is now the richest pirate to ever sail the seas. We haven’t taken a single ship in years. We all love captain Jack, but our shares are peanuts! And no one is doing anything about it!”
