Project Overview
Welcome to Amulet Dubbed!
From the director and producer of The Walking Dubbed, join us as we take on another adventure in the fantastical world of Amulet!
The project aims to take the origal graphic novel and provide a fully vasted voice over dub as well as including cinematic elements including music, foley, and other great features.

We are looking for some passionate voice actors to join us in a journey that will be fantastic on any portfolio as we aim to complete a dub of this beloved Series!
Access to discord will be required and upon selection you will recieve a message from the director, Sciipio, on the platform so make sure to add your discord handle in your submissions!

Emily Hayes is the primary protagonist in Amulet. She begins her journey as a 10 year old during a brief prolog before jumping to the age of 12 and growing to the age of 15 as the story progresses through the 9 books in the series. She is a determined young woman who finds a connection to a mysterious amulet that gifts her with powers; powers that would otherwise wish to consume her lest she lose herself to it.
She, alongside her brother, Navin, find themselves whisked away to another world after their mother, Karen, is taken away. With the loss of her father years prior, she finds herself much colder and mature than what should have otherwise been a joyful childhood.
What we are looking for with Emily:
As the main character of the series we will be holding her casting in high regard. Undoubtedly having the most lines in the series- the job comes with a handful of work. A youthful voice that can grow as the character does as well is an essential part of this character. Demonstrating this ability in your casting lines would be a fair strategy.

David Hayes is a minor character in Amulet. He is a warm and caring man who is the father of Emily and Navin Hayes; husband to Karen Hayes. In the prologue he is killed in a tragic car crash; leaving the family without their father.
He later appears in a memory in the series as well as being impersonated by an antagonist later on. The voice actor will be expected to reprise these roles when the time comes.
What we are looking for with David:
A warm and inviting fatherly voice; jubilant and excitable. You are a caring father who is sorely missed after his passing. Utilizing these features in your audition would be an asset.

Karen Hayes is a minor character in Amulet. She is the mother of Emily and Navin Hayes and widow to the late David Hayes.
After being abducted, Karen is striken in a coma while her children try to come to her aid. When she awakes, she finds herself and her family trapped in this strange magical world.
What we are looking for with Karen:
A strong motherly voice that is the disciplinarian of the family. After the loss of her husband, her life became much harder as a single mother. A bit of a tired nature is expected with this because of such events.

Navin Hayes is the deuteragonist of Amulet. He is a lighthearted young boy with a heart of gold; thrown into the middle of a civil war conflict when a prophecy dictates him to be the new leader of The Resistance.
He is the brother to Emily Hayes and the son to Karen and the late David Hayes.
What we are looking for with Navin:
A young cheerful voice full of spirit and vinegar; eager for adventure and not afraid to goof around a little. Navin is a heartful boy, and the auditions should reflect that.

Ikol, also known beforehand as simply "The Voice" from the Amulet, is the primary antagonist in Amulet. An otherworldly creature, Ikol speaks through numerous amulets to numerous characters and his presence is felt through the entire series. He is enigmatic and stoic; with an otherwordly voice to accompany him. To come like whispers in your ears; eagerly trying to get you to fall into the trap of embracing the power of the amulet.
What we are looking for with Ikol:
We are looking for someone that can walk the line between friendly and creepy; a voice that is quiet and hushed in tones but also inviting and warm. To entrust and feel familiar towards and want that certain warmth all the while still being enigmatic and mysterious. Ikol will be a closely chosen role and bring numerous different takes and attempts with different voices would be an asset in auditions.

Miskit is a side character and ally in Amulet.
He is a robot rabbit created by Silas Hayes in order to assist him. Upon meeting Emily and Navin, he joins them and helps them on their quest.
What we are looking for with Miskit:
A friendly and cheerful voice befitting of a happy-go-lucky sidekick. Someone who is soft spoken and quick to help would be an ideal candidate for this role.

Cogsly is a robotic servant to Shilis Hayes, and serves him as one of his stewards and defenders. Although a bit of a pessimist, Cogsly is an ally to the protagonists.
What we are looking for with Cogsly:
A somewhat grumpy and stubborn attitude would be an asset with this character; soft underside that is nicer under his hard exterior is the ideal candidate we are looking for with auditions.

Silas Chernon (Hayes) is the great grandfather of protagonists Emily and Navin Hayes. He is an old man that had a passion for creating robots to help him during his life; and when Emilynad Navin find him, he is on his death bed. He leaves most of his memories to his robotic creations, and is featured in a few flashback sequences.
What we are looking for with Silas:
A quiet and whispering voice that is teetering on the end; an elderly tone that is whisking away as his moments are coming to his end.

Morrie is a minor character and ally in Amulet. He is a robot created by Silas to assist him; but acts more like a Butler in many regards. He is a nervous wreck to the extent that he sweats; even though he is a robot.
What we are looking for with Morrie:
An earnest, but worried and skittish voice filled with shaking. Morrie is a warm and friendly person that has the best bedside manner out of the entire group, but his anxiety keeps his nerves shot. Demonstrating this in your audition would be an asset!

"Rakers are some of the most ferocious underground dwellers in Alledia- they're basically large masses of tentacles and teeth, eating anything they can get ahold of! Traveling through there on foot can mean certain death."
We are looking for an Audio Engineer to lend some tips and assistance with this project as well as future projects! You will be given full credits in the rest of the series through an honourable mention with the assistance. Sciipio; the Director and Edittor, is looking for a bit of a mentor in prepping productions for proper sound quality through using Adobe Premiere Pro 2024.
Would be a short role; highly appreciated. Any individuals interested in assisting can feel free to submit an audition with any project previously worked on to showcase your Audio Engineering.
