Karen Hayes is a minor character in Amulet. She is the mother of Emily and Navin Hayes and widow to the late David Hayes.
After being abducted, Karen is striken in a coma while her children try to come to her aid. When she awakes, she finds herself and her family trapped in this strange magical world.
What we are looking for with Karen:
A strong motherly voice that is the disciplinarian of the family. After the loss of her husband, her life became much harder as a single mother. A bit of a tired nature is expected with this because of such events.
