Emily Hayes is the primary protagonist in Amulet. She begins her journey as a 10 year old during a brief prolog before jumping to the age of 12 and growing to the age of 15 as the story progresses through the 9 books in the series. She is a determined young woman who finds a connection to a mysterious amulet that gifts her with powers; powers that would otherwise wish to consume her lest she lose herself to it.

She, alongside her brother, Navin, find themselves whisked away to another world after their mother, Karen, is taken away. With the loss of her father years prior, she finds herself much colder and mature than what should have otherwise been a joyful childhood. 

What we are looking for with Emily: 

As the main character of the series we will be holding her casting in high regard. Undoubtedly having the most lines in the series- the job comes with a handful of work. A youthful voice that can grow as the character does as well is an essential part of this character. Demonstrating this ability in your casting lines would be a fair strategy.
