Hey all! This is a passion project of mine, and it is all for the experience! I will be sharing this on my personal social media platforms, and you guys can too! I'll give you a copy as well for your reel. I'm trying to get everyone cast by the 17th and everything recorded by the end of August, so I can finish sound and audio editing by mid September!
The short story is entirely written, so once auditions are done I'll touch up the dialogue to fit more for audiobook.

Elavear is a male paladin, tasked with his friend (Celeres)) to clear out an old temple for his order. While having a gruff, tough exterior, Elavear has a big heart for his friends, but often fails to show it. Medium voice.
(Annoyed) “This is not some money-grabbing trifle!” “We have been tasked by the holy order of Paladins to rid the old temple of the evil that has taken it over on the edge of Dorantia, and to make it sacred once again. That is the focus of this mission.”
(Earnest) “There has to be something important in this temple-It's been bugging me ever since we found that paper. What was he searching for?
(In pain, but shaking it off) "Just a scratch; Nothing that can’t be fixed,”
A 20-something female paladin, tasked to clear the old temple with Elavear. Excited, and recruited the two Lutins who accompany them. Very consoling, and loves everyone she is with deeply. Alto voice.
(Thinking) “Odd... There has been little infestation here… where is the evil that the order warned us of?”
(Consoling) “You couldn’t have known. Just, next time, let us inspect the altar first?”
(Excited) "Alright; let’s get going then!”
Blachi is an extremely talkative Lutin (a small creature, think a cross between a gnome and an elf). He is very excited for this mission, mischievous, running head first into everything. I imagine him having a higher, squeaky-ish voice. While he is male, anyone can audition for him if you think you can pull it off!
(Impatient and excited) “We can hear, you know- now are we going to get going, or not? I’m ready to swipe some treasure”.
(Explaining, slightly annoyed) “We’re sneaky, hard to see. And, when we’re under stress, we can turn invisible. Not fun to do, but it works. Please don’t stress me out unnecessarily. Regardless, we are good at sneaking in and out of places. That’s what we were doing before.
(Worried) Can one of you two come over here? Vizyari isn’t looking so good.”
Vizyari, while a supporting character, is key to the story. The fourth member of the party, he is a man of little words. While a Lutin (who normally have higher voices such as Blachi's), Vizyari actually has a relatively low, grave voice.
(Serious, placating) “I sense something emanating from the piece; it yearns to be connected with its missing half… or halves. I know not how many there are to this poem. We must follow wherever it may lead. It is a plea.”
(Talking to himself, amused) “That’s why I’m here. To keep him out of trouble.”
(Matter of fact, as if reciting it) Pronunciation: Killika'gh= Killikawg
“It says Killika'gh. ‘Perisher’, in Goblin. Roughly.”
Hecatonchires is the mummy lord of the temple, having taken it over. He or she has a thin, raspy voice. Feel free to go low or nasally! I'm open to interpretation on this one. He or she has a few lines during the battle, but is always working behind the scenes.
Pronunciation: Hecatonchires= Heck-a-tone-key-res
(Boasting) Even if you somehow manage to defeat me, Hecatonchires, servant of the Lord of Hoards, his bidding has already begun!
(Taunting) “Even your “magic” sword is no match for my power, which will only grow as my the rest of my lord’s minions perform their own rituals,”
Feel free to experiment with how he/she may boast of his power!
One of the enemies that the group fights. Taunts them while wielding a magic sword. Any gender!
(Taunting) "Come at me, kid"
"Is that all you have?"
Come up with your own taunt!
An Ogre that the party fights while adventuring. Must be willing to groan in pain, and speak in a moan-like, grunting voice. Can be any gender.
(Groaning) You will never defeat wrap lord!
