(PAID) 67 Million - A Student Short Film

Project Overview

Hello! Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to check out my project!


I'm a senior animation student, and I put up a casting call almost a year ago for my junior film, but now I'm a senior, so I need some more voice actors (and maybe some extra art help)!


So, my film is called "67 Million", and here is a quick synopsis:

A woman named Lena wakes up in a mysterious realm, not remembering much about her past. She finds out that she has recently died, and is now turned into a Reaper. With the help a a friendly Reaper, the two go on a small journey to help recover Lena's memories and try to find a way to come back to life.


You will be paid if you are accepted! Though I am a college student, so it won't be a whole lot, but hopefully enough where you'll feel properly compensated! If you're planning on applying for this project, make sure you have either PayPal or Venmo so I can send you money!


Having a Discord also helps, for easy communication, but I'm also down to either do email or communicate just on this website if need be!

  • Casting is Done!

    Hello everyone!

    It's finally time to cast! Everyone did such an amazing job, it was hard to choose going through all the auditions! You guys have great talent and whether or not you guys get selected here I hope your voice acting journey goes well!

    For those selected, make sure to check CCC! Shortly, I will be direct messaging you asking if you're willing to accept the role/position! You have 36 hours to respond before the next person in line gets a message.

    For the artists: because these are going to work differently, I want you guys to know that it might take a few days before the person is "actually" cast, since we might have to do some tests to make sure that they're a good fit. So just because you weren't selected doesn't mean you won't get in!

  • Extension!

    Hello everyone!

    First, I wanna say thank you to everyone who's applied! We've gotten a lot of submissions, and I'm glad there's been so much interest in this small project of mine!

    So onto the news: Since I'm a student, I'm currently on winter break. Because of that, I've been travelling. And seeing the schedule I have ahead of me, I won't be able to listen to everyone and make a decision on the date that I stated. Therefore, the project deadline is being extended by a week! If you've needed more time or wanted to do a re- audition, now is the time!

This is a lead role.


Cal is a 30 - 40 year-old man who was simply trying to get a normal job as a doctor. He got it pretty easily and was excited to go home and tell his family about it. All of a sudden, as he was going home, his wheel popped, sending him into oncoming traffic, and killing him almost instantly. He now wakes up in this strange realm, looking for answers. Someone might've caused his death...


Cal's voice should be soft, with a bit of grizzle to it. He sounds friendly at the beginning of the short, but by the end, he is full of hatred, so make sure you act out both!

The Doctor here is pretty old and a bit of a misogynist. He denies Lena from her job almost immediately, which might've led her to do something regrettable...


All we need from the Doctor is to sound old and make him sound as annoyed as possible.

The Nurse is just an assistant to the Doctor. Nothing else. The Nurse can sound anyway you want, just make sure to have a flat voice and you don't need to put a lot of emotion into the lines.

Looking for a rough animator! This would take off some weight off of my shoulders. I know this role pays less than the background artist, but I would have you do less work. You can use any software you want, but since I'm using Toon Boom Harmony, it would help your chances if you also do too!
