2147 (Original animated series)
Project Overview
Auditions don't have an official deadline , I will keep them open until the perfect person is found and will add new characters as they are needed.
That being said i'm going to wait a few weeks before finalising who gets which roles.
2147 Is an animated web series that will be released to YouTube sometime during the summer this year.
After a nuclear explosion left half the world uninhabitable the world seemed doomed, however, somehow, humanity continues. Crime runs rampant in the huge sprawling cities. Gangs fighting for control left, right and centre. Its a dangerous world to live in, filled with hardships and loss. 2147 follows 4 main characters: Ash, Damien, Zack and Alex, as they attempt to work together to form a functioning team that can come together to follow their bosses orders. the only problem is that they couldn't work together if their life depends on it.
A few guidelines/rules
- Please have as little background noise as possible, it would ruin immersion if you can hear random noises that shouldn't be there.
- You need to be able to join my discord server I've got set up for everyone helping with making 2147 (this includes any artist, voice actors, animators ect) . This just makes it easier for me to contact everyone and give the lines out quickly, It will also let you see the progress of the animation.
- For the main characters you need to be able to express a lot of emotion, this includes shouting, crying, pained noises ect.
- this is going to be along term project so id appreciate it if you didn't drop out, as id like to keep the same voices throughout the series so everything flows nicely.
- Once all the voice actors are found i will send the script for episode 1 but i will only ask for you to record certain lines at a time and give a time id need them by. If I asked for all the lines at once it would be hard to find the ones i need and be a lot of work for you as well. I may ask you to re do some lines if they weren't quite right.
- I will attempt to send the story board for the scene along with the lines so you have something visualise what sort of feelings the scene should have and what the final thing may look like.
I think that's everything i needed to say, thank you for viewing my project and i hope together we can make it real and not just an idea.
Although i don't have enough money to pay anyone just now i will set up a Patreon or something similar before the first episode is aired. Any funds i get from that will be split between everyone who is working on the project once a month for as long as the project is running and they are a part of it. If episode 1 newer airs for whatever reason then i sadly wont be able to pay anyone however i'm putting everything i have into making this idea a reality.

One of the main characters. Has quite a lot of lines.
He was born in Scotland but moved down to England when he was pretty young, so how strong his accent is up for interpretation.
He refers to himself in plural first person (examples, "we are fine" Or "that's ours").
Hes not big on words choosing to answer in as few words as possible most times.
His voice is pretty deep,

In short Damien is possessed by a creature thats called a Wanderer. He tried to make a deal with it but the deal went wrong and they ended up trapped together in his body. He affectionately dubbed the wanderer "ShitFace", they both hate each other and shitface is constantly telling Damien all kinds of horrible stuff in his head. So whys this important you ask? Well when ShitFace tries to take over Damien's voice changes slightly, if shit face is trying to take over it sounds like his normal voice with a slightly higher pitched voice talking over his normal one. His voice can also be distorted and sound like a glitch at times. If shitface has fully taken over then its quite echo-y, distorted and still has that childish voice thrown in there too. I put them as 2 different additions just in case you wouldn't want to do shitface because of the editing it would take, but i would really like it if the same person did both as it would flow more naturally and the lines would be in sync if you just edited the pitch slightly for the higher parts and added in a bit of distortion plus echo.

Even then its not exactly what i mean, go crazy though if you want to do shitface as well id love to hear your interpretations.
In moments of anger or a shout shitfaces voice can be heard for the shouting part, or it gets a bit distorted but it goes back to normal after hes done shouting. (if you dont want to voice shit face too then just distort the audio a little bit to give the effect that shitface is coming through at times he should be for now)
He comes of as uncaring and emotionless at times but that's because he needs to control his emotions otherwise shitface takes over

(caring) "hey, kiddo? are you alright there? You look a little shocked.
(getting increasingly angry) Don't you fucking dare think you can walk in here and treat us like you used to, brother. You've put us through hell and we haven't come here today to be talked down to by a BLOODY PSYCHOPATH LIKE YOU! (the last few words should have some distortion effects to it)
He is a main character by association, he shares a body with Damien so he has quite a few lines thought the series .
His voice is very distorted and creepy sounding. With a strange echo to it and a few jumpy ish bits of audio. I dont have an exact way id like his voice to be edited, just have fun and experiment with it.
The closest thing i can find to what i mean is this video, just not quite as distorted as its a little hard to hear what hes saying in the video. It needs to be easily understandable MOST of the time, there is some times where you can make a few words totally mangled and unintelligible.

His role may involve some extra work since the audio would need to be edited, id prefer it to come edited as without that i cant really tell if its what i'm looking for, but i could always do it after you've been cast, just tell me what you did to edit it and il do it if need be.
Shit face is a yellow wanderer. Info can be found in the description of the reference sheet about the different tiers. To shorten it though hes the most dangerous kind of wanderer you can get, only wanting to kill and trick people.

One of the main characters, Doesnt have as many lines at the start due to her being too scared to talk, but will have more lines as it goes on.
Is extremely shy, preferring to communicate in hand motions or body language most of the time. If she needs to she can force herself to talk but it causes her great stress unless she is comfortable around the person she is talking to.
When she does speak it’s really quite and she kind of trips over her words a lot.
Like Damien she has a wanderer trapped in her body however unlike Damien they both love each other and wouldn't want to be apart. Kara can take over if Ash is in danger or they want to switch.
Muffins are one of her favourite things and she can be easily bribed with them
Shes pretty naive about the world at times and is seen as needing to be protected by her teammates.

An important character with a lot of lines, is fused with Ash (a main character) so i guess you could consider her a main character by association.
Shares Ash's body after they fused, she can take over ashes body however mainly lets ash get on with her life and is happy to talk to ash in her head.
She really enjoys humming and has a song stuck in her head but cant remember where she heard it from before.
Like "shitface" the more upset or angry she gets the more her voice distorts
Unlike Ash she is fairly outgoing and happy to start a conversation with almost anyone. Shes a bit of a trouble maker and a prankster, she loves to scare people.
Her voice is different from Ashes and when she takes control of Ashes body she can ether use Ashes voice or her own, but mainly chooses her own voice so she doesn't accidentally do something to get ash in trouble.
She is good at judging characters in most people, but for those she cant judge it makes her uneasy and try to avoid all contact with them if possible.
Wanderers are people who were killed in their life ether in a brutal way or before they should of died, They are trapped in a dark shadow realm that's connected to earth. They can travel between the realms but cant be seem by most people or interact with the physical earth for the most part. To move on and finally be allowed to rest in peace they must discover whats tying them to the earth still and then must (depending on whats keeping them tied to the earth) destroy the object, see justice done if someone killed them or watch a family member grow old and get on with their life until their death.
Kara used to desperately search for the answers she needed to find to finally rest, however after meeting Ash shes decided that for now she is happy the way she is.

Zack is a obnoxiously loud dog lover. This loudness is what makes him and Damien clash, he sees Damien as a stuck up jerk who thinks hes too good for the team.
Don't let the loud exterior fool you though, he only uses this to hide the pain of his past.
He does suffer from anxiety and his dog Alex helps to calm this in times when everything gets too much.
He doesn't trust people very much.
Dogs are so much better than people and he has a Pack of them (and a cat who snuck into the pack) however Alex and him have a special bond that cannot be broken.

He doesn't have too many lines at first, the longer the series goes on though the more he is evolved.
A man who strikes fear into the hearts of all who cross him. His soldiers follow him as he offers good pay and benefits, but they obey him as they are terrified of what he might do if they ever betrayed or angered him in any way.
He is often times seen as the villain due to his often extreme anger outbursts and unorthodox methods.
Hes is in his 40s-50s.
His voice is deep and chilling when hes threatening you.
He doesn't swear that much as hes a man of class and doesn't lower himself to that level, however if he does swear you have done something terribly wrong and probably wont live much longer after hearing it.
Despite all his toughness he is rather caring towards children, having lost his own many years ago to a tragic attack on his old family home. He does in his spare time help out kids of the street or if he hears of his soldiers families straggling he will try to help them in some way.
He doesn't tend to need to raise his voice, his quite deadly words are more than enough to get his point perfectly across.
(inviting someone into his office, has a menacing tone to it) Please, come on in. May I offer you some tea? coffee? maybe something stronger? Ah but that's not why we are here, let me get right to the point...
(threatening) If you EVER dare to cross me again, you shall not even be able to get those traitorous words out your mouth before I strike you dead. Is that perfectly clear?
(kind, talking to an upset child) Don't cry little one, its okay. Here let me help you up.
She doesn't have many lines, as the story goes on she normally has a couple lines per episode.
Shes responsible for training the main 4
As well as training the main 4 she is also responsible for training all the new recruits, so she is pretty overworked most of the time.
shes a bad ass woman who takes no shit.
She goes by Fern but that isn't her real name.
She always tells crazy stories about how the right side of her face was burnt, however none of them are the truth (she purposely hides the truth behind all the stories)
Shes at the end of her tether with the teams constant fighting.
(Entering her trainer mode) Alright, listen up and listen good. I'm here to turn you sorry lot into an army, as hilarious as that may seem, I assure you- Its no laughing matter.
(frustrated) I swear those kids will be the death of me, one more day like this and I'll go crazy for sure, if i'm not already there.
(Make up some crazy story about how she burned her face)
Anyone can audition for an extra regardless of age, gender, experience ect. You never know when a good old extra will pop up or be needed.
Also an extra would probably be first to be offered new roles as they come up since i would know you already, know what you sound like and what you can do.

Id like to have some music to add to the series, since copyrighting is a huge problem on YT i'm scared to use anything that isn't specifically made for the series. I feel music is a huge part of what makes a series memorable. I understand that this is a huge ask and id understand if there is no interest as its a time consuming process. I'm hoping to be able to pay everyone who works on the project at some point though. If you are interested leave a link to your stuff and I will check it out.
