YOUR TURN TO DIE: MILEY RECAST + DOLLS
Project Overview
Hello and welcome to the YTTD fandub! This project has been moving pretty slowly due to COVID and everyone being busy with school but it's been kicked back up as of recent. We are currently in need of a Sue Miley, and other characters that appear later within the game.
- It is encouraged that you've played the game in its entirety, or at least watched a full game-play of Your Turn to Die. We will be dubbing chapters 1-1 all the way through 3-B when it's out, for now it leaves off at chapter 3-A.
- You must have a Discord, it is the only way I will be contacting my voice actors! That being said please leave your Discord in your audition, if you are cast I will send you a friend request. (My Discord is Goretoons#9324.)
- Please have a decent mic, keep any buzzing, static, or any big amounts of reverb out of your recording.

Although Miley is called "The Laughing Doll", she isn't as friendly as her name seems to hint at. She enjoys seeing the participants in the death game suffer, and even goes as far to torment them by crushing their hopes. She finds amusement in their despair as the cast start questioning their chances of survival.
(menacingly) "Eheehee... Everyone... how are you feeling? This is a pre-recorded video, so I'm afraid I can't answer any questions. Allow me to thank you, truly, for taking part of the Main Game."
(announcing) "Eheehee. Now everyone, enjoy yourselves as I check your answers! First, the Sage! You were right on everyone, it was Kai Satou! Next, the Keymaster, Eheehee, the fierce battle between you two was a true sight to see! Amazing! It was Sara Chidouin! Aaand! The Sacrifice! The one who dies with objective incomplete isss... Taa-dah! It was Joe Tazuna!"
(announcing) "Come, Wrigglers! Suck all the blood from Joe Tazuna!"
(mockingly) "How cuuute, Sara! Ahaha. Why not? I'll give you a chance. Eheehee, this button will slow the device connected to Joe Tazuna. Just keep pressing it! The device will be slowed the more you press, and maybe even stop! Now keep mashing that button, maybe you'll save him? Heeheehee.."
Midori is cruelly a mischievous man shrouded in mystery. He seems to have somewhat sadistic tendencies, deriving happiness from teasing and harassing others for his own amusement even in life or death situations. He enjoys making others uneasy, and making inappropriate jokes on them.
(Carefree, smiling) "Ahaha. Sorry to pop out of the darkness, did I startle you I wonder? As you can see, I'm super duper. So did you enjoy it?"
(Upbeat) "I'm not a paintinggg! How are you feeling? Anybody die?"
(Sour, but still with his upbeat tone) "Just as dumb as your sister, Alice... I wanna win too, you know?"
(Manic, still smiling) "Ahaha! Let us play, on the greatest of stages!! A graveyard for broken dolls...!!
Ranmaru is a casual and easy-going boy, he is generally placid in nature. Although occasionally flustered, he seems to come off as nervous or awkward in certain situations. Ranmaru also seems to keep quiet and distant until provoked, he thinks ahead before dealing with dangerous situations; showing his level-headedness and his good perception.
HUMAN RANMARU - (Pained and bleeding out) "Urgh.... Dammit.. this is awful. Why did this.... happen to me...?" (pause) "Is someone there...? ....There is, right? Answer me... ....Am I gonna die? Ahh, this sucks ass... seriously?"
DOLL RANMARU - (Ranmaru is meeting Sara for the first time) "Uhh... so is just Sara fine?"
(Explaining information) "Its about the red thread on our collars that connect us. If the people in a pair get some distance apart their collars activate and their heads fly off."
(Calling out during battle to Sara) "O...Okay, got it! I'll hide in the darkness and try and trip it! Good plan, right?"
Mai comes off as friendly and flirtatious, she is talkative and excitable while occasionally making remarks that make people uncomfortable. She tries her best to help the group, though sometimes her ideas lack foresight.
HUMAN MAI - (Crying out, distressed while holding two guns against her head) "Help...!! No no no...!! Whyyy...!! Why does this have to happennn...?! How could I possibly know which one's right?! I can't do ittt! I can't fire these things!!"
DOLL MAI - (Upbeat, meeting Sara for the first time) "Eeee! It's cute little Sara! You're going to chat with me?!"
(Teasing) "If you tell me what your type is.. Then I'll tell you what I know!"
(Flirty, responding to Q-Taro) "Master, don't get chatty! You have to search!"
Kurumada is brusque and does not trust people easily. He tends to banter with others and occasionally refers to them dismissively. He is also known to be laid back and even a bit of a bully teasing others and and referring to them with strange nicknames.
HUMAN KURUMADA -
(Strained struggling, the walls are closing in on him on both sides) "Dammit...!! You gotta be shittin' me!! Don't screw with me!! God dammit!! I'm gonna kill you!! All you bastards who set this shit up are dead!!"
DOLL KURUMADA -
(Meeting Sara for the first time) "Bwahaha... You're Sara Chidouin, ain't ya?"
(Surprised upon recognizing the gym) "...Guh?! This place...?! It looks like... the gym I used to go to."
(Relaxed, determined) "But if they're gonna make us fight another monster then bring it on...! I'm never gonna lose a one-on-one here!"
Hinako is 13-15, we are looking for more of a younger sounding voice for her. Not too high-pitched, and not too low; we're also looking for more of a monotone voice, she has emotion but she isn't as upbeat as someone like Mai.
Hinako has a blunt way of speaking, and somewhat of a fatalist mindset. Hinako easily comes up with solutions for fighting monsters they encounter. She always offers to fight whatever is in the group's way. She is rather strategic and thinks before speaking.
HUMAN HINAKO -
(Weak, on the verge of death) "...Haha... ...you... did this...? ...I was just... ...wanting to die... ...thank you..."
DOLL HINAKO -
(Meeting Sara for the first time) "...Hey there, Sara-senpai. You not a fan of that? To me, high-school students are like adults..."
(Distressed, more on the panic side of things) "Say it clearly! Will tagging someone transfer who's it?! It won't just multiply...?!"
Hayasaka is an anxious and rather submissive man who stutters and laughs when he is particularly nervous. Afraid of monsters that come to attack, he does his best to help fend them off with the others.
HUMAN SHUNSUKE -
(Yelling, distressed) "Hey! Help me!! Please!! I didn't know!! I didn't know anything!! You're listening there, aren't you?! Help meeeee...!!
DOLL SHUNSUKE -
(Meeting Sara for the first time) "You saw my victim video... didn't you? Just think about it...I'm not the real Hayasaka. I'm a doll made to look exactly like him. Obviously.. the organization wouldn't leave me any memories that'd be a problem for them, right?"
(Surprised, recognizing his workspace) "T-This desktop...! Maybe there's... some sort of information..."
Through Chapter 3, Anzu shows a different side of her personality. She acts more bubbly and a bit more air-headed, she says she loves dressing up as a clown but is visibly insecure.
HUMAN ANZU -
(Tearfully yelling) "Stooop!! I don't wanna dieeeee!!"
(She's fatally struck with sharp weapons) "Ga... a... a... It... hurts... M... m... om..."
DOLL ANZU -
(Meeting Sara for the first time) "Oh! Let's be friends! We're about the same age, right? Urk...! You're judging my outfit, aren't you?! You think I'm... weird!"
For Meister, we are currently looking for someone who can do a medium-to-low voice; as well as someone who can pull off an Italian 'Mobster' accent for this character.
Meister seems to take pleasure for having the human participants suffer as they are focused to play a lethal game of chance. He is pretty straightforward but impatient as well.
(Nonchalant, revealing himself) "Hey now, don't put yourselves so on guard. Ha ha ha, don't sweat the details."
(Smug) "Now, to get right to it, lemme explain the rules of the next game."
(Smug, but more upbeat) "Well of course! You wanna stake your life without even knowin' the rules?! You're a real character, man!"
