Project Overview
Introduction
Hi! I'm Caffie and this is a casting call for "Welcome to Digital Cafe!" This project is for my current twitch channel/youtube which is both under construction until I release this project. I'm hoping to acquire some amazing and ambitious voice actors and singers to come with me on this journey!
The goal of this project is to have: ONE full cover song with the main ensemble, 2 (or 3) individual full cover songs + character introductions. As for mixing, I'm also looking for someone to possible mix the music. If not, I can but if I find a mixer that would amazing as I'm creating all the art! Lastly, I'm also looking for someone who can do video editing and creating Picture Music Videos/ Music Videos.
This project is long-term in the sense that I want to continue to keep on using the same voice actors and singers throughout the years. Things like seasonal songs, special events, and even maybe a comic series.

There are 3 roles currently ( 6 if all voice actors need a singing partner). I highly encourage you to auction for as many as you like (even though there is just 3). Savannah is a character that can either be voiced and sung as a male or female as they do have a masculine sounding register but a higher ranged voice. IF you cannot sing, that is okay! I'll personally seek to it that we are able to find a singer that can sound like you or close enough!
All the roles listed below are in American English, but for character introductions, I would like a little Japanese sprinkled in. Besides that, all VAs will be speaking in English.
Everyone will be credited in all videos and on my twitch page.
Story (for a better feel of all the characters): The story takes place in a game where the 3 main maid protagonists, Aqua the Dolphin Maid, Savannah the Panther Maid, and Shiro the Lion Maid (the lead maid) become sentient. Their whole goal is to try to exit the game while trying to maintain some sort of sanity. If pushed too far, they do end up having "glitched" versions of themselves that show their true feelings about being trapped inside a video game. Spoiler Alert: the alter egos aren't nice.
Payment: I do have a tight budget but all money made from the Youtube videos and the first 1 1/2 months of streaming on Twitch (bits, donos, everything) will be distributed between all the members accordingly except me. If you need to be paid upfront, please let me know as well. If the videos and streaming tank, I will still make sure I can compensate you all for your work. I will only take half of what is made on Shiro's MV IF I do not find a voice actor for her (as I am wanting to play Shiro myself but still send in applications for her!).
Communication: Discord is the main mode of communication for the group. If you do not have it, please let me know ASAP so I can work with you personally.
Deadlines and Audition Information: Deadlines for auditions are 2 weeks and a half from today which will be August 19th at 11:59 PM. After that date, I will select the roles and invite them to my discord server to get everyone situated. I'll give everyone an extra day to settle in and meet everyone and then we can all finally start the project. I'm mostly waiting on the background work right now and I'm currently in the process of creating sprites. The first thing we are focusing on is the Character Introductions for the Youtube Channel. We'll go from there after those are completed.
Expectations:
As I'm just one person directing this, I want your creative input too! I want people who are going to be able to contribute creatively like with character introductions (as an example). If you're able to stick around even after, that would be amazing because I want to do future projects with the same people.
I especially want people to have fun with this. Everyone is an equal part of this, so if you do have a complaint or want to change something, please don't hesitate to speak up to me.
Live recording sessions are ideal for me as I'm able to coach you on the fly. I'm happy to use Zoom or Discord to do the sessions. I'm located in the American Pacific Time (PST), but I'm happy to work with schedules and stay up. The latest I would stay up is 4 am PST so please keep that in mind. If you cannot make your slot, please let me know so we can figure out where I can put you. If you can not meet the live recording sessions, I'm also happy to work over text through discord or email. This does take longer but I'm willing to do it!
Final Thoughts!
I ask that you take the time to embody the character. Don't be afraid to come to me with extra skills like editing or music production! I love people that have different skills!
When recording, try to have as little background noise as possible. If you don't have soundproofing, using a blanket and pillows around your microphone can help immensely.
I'm planning on having more projects with the same cast in the future. Like I mentioned, a comic or animated music series, so please try to stick around for as long as possible. Projects are not constant and I will give a heads up to everyone on the team before we start something again. If you can not make it, I'm willing to work with your schedule.
Lastly, have lots of fun! This is supposed to be a really fun project that people can develop together!

Shiro is the head maid of Digital Cafe and the most popular of the three. She's 18 years old. She started at the cafe first and used it as a distraction from her life outside the cafe. She actively tried living a life of perfection but slowly over time, it started to whittle away at her and continues too. Shiro had a close connection to Aqua as they lived fairly close to one another growing up and attended the same high school. She's everyone hype girl and is very loving to all the guests. Shiro and Savannah are nice to each other but, often will get in spats because they both are big cats.

Shiro is written to be a bad person, yet redeemable person as she is the cause of a lot of the drama that happens between these maids.

Aqua is the youngest of the bunch and joined the Cafe second to Shiro. She's 17 years old. She and Shiro have been childhood friends but slowly, Shiro pushed her away because she thought she was seemingly better than her. This caused her to become more recluse and shy, yet she actively still tried becoming friends with her. When she found out about her new part-time job, she rushed to take apart in it to become closer to Shiro. She is a very shy and reserved individual but when pushed outta her comfort zone becomes a whole other person. Aqua is close to Shiro but nowadays isn't too clingy to her as she used to be. Instead, she's become infatuated with Savannah and really likes them.

(Questioning herself, transition to sad then at the end determined) I don't really understand why some people call me cute. All I do is go antiquing and swim, plus I'm the shortest of all of us... but I'm still trying to do my best!

Savannah is the 3rd and final maid of Digital Cafe. They are 19 years old. Savannah has never fit in at school as they don't see themselves as a girl or boy and inturn stayed away from most cliques. She discovered running was something she truly enjoyed and joined a CrossCountry team. Sadly, after an accident that resulted in them fracturing both legs, they stopped running to recover. They joined the Cafe to start walking again and to help her recovery process. They are a tough, assertive, personality in the Cafe. Shiro and Savannah tend to get along fine as long as they both don't mess with each other. Savannah is more scared of Shiro. Aqua and Savannah seem to have a close connection from the start.
*Note*
A good dynamic for Shiro and Savannah would be Jim and Dwight from The Office (US). A charming back and forth.

I would love to have a video editor to lessen the workload! If you're interested, please leave some examples of your work! I'm mostly looking for a lot of camera panning, camera work, and effects.
Digital Girl - That video will need a lot of glitching effects and basic typography. I'd also like some cool camera work. This will have the most sprites because of the ensemble so there is a lot of things you could do here.
Circus Hop is the middle ground where it is complex (because of all the camera movements) but simple (because a lot of it is repetition.) This probably will be getting the least amount of sprites, a lot of them are the same just with glitched versions.
Honey, I'm Home will be more complex in the sense that I'll be giving you more sprites to play with and move around with.
Common World Domination will be a lot simpler but still requires a lot of effects. I wouldn't be giving you as many sprites to play with but still enough to capture the vision with. The sprites will mostly be glitched.
Payment: The editor will be also getting split pay from any money we gain from Youtube and Twitch. However, due to the tight budget, I won't be able to pay you upfront if you require that to start.
